Hey everyone! I thought it a good idea to change flute tabs in choir bell tabs. Notation will be the same as what is used for flute with the addition of [] for the lowest octave. If you have choir bell specific tabs or would like to help transpose, feel free to do so.

EDIT: So, my plan has changed for the tabs. Instead of posting here I will post on a blog called Minstrel Wars.

^ Hark, the Herald Angels Sing is tabbed wrong. It should start 58878(332). I think your problem was that you had the wrong note as Do.

Could someone please create a sheet for the “Beware of the Mad King Thorn” poem that Maklain the Minstrel plays in Lion’s Arch?

Song Request – Come Little Children from Hocus Pocus
I think it would sound really nice on the flute, if I could get help figuring out the notes.

So here’s Come Little Children. It actually has a sharp/flat in the “into a land of enchantment” line and related lines, but for some reason it sounds just fine using what we have on the flute. Also I don’t know if you are aware that this song has multiple verses. Luckily they all have the same melody.

Dashes just mean phrases. Parenthesis is upper octave. You’re on your own for rhythm.

That’s what I meant. Even if I were to transpose something, I will most likely encounter an octave problem… (as opposed to having an instrument in a different key where I can perhaps have more room)

Again the key (other than major, minor, dorian, etc.) wouldn’t matter. What would matter is the starting note. Like a violin in C major but the lowest note being a G rather than C.

If only they’d release an instrument in C Major, I’d be able to do more FF songs XD.

The key doesn’t matter. You can take any piece and transpose it into any key to make it work. Even if they released something in C Major it would start on Do.

Other than accidentals the biggest problem I’ve run into is not fitting into the octave restraint.

I hope they know they mislabeled the solfege…

Dashes just denote phrases. (Trying to make the post not soo long.)

So I don’t know if this was a horrible idea. I know it was short notice, but I can’t really guarantee a time slot. Probably not the best time slot either, but I tried.

I’ll be doing these puzzles anyway. My fellow JP Commander, friend, guild mate Mistress C Blocker will be on a jp excursion tomorrow as well.

Projected Itinerary:
Lion’s Arch – Weyandt’s Revenge, Urmaug’s Secret, Troll’s End
Bloodtide Coast – Professor Portmatt’s Lab
Southsun Cove – Skipping Stones
Lornar’s Pass – Griffonrook Run + Beaker’s Empty Belly
Timberline Falls – Coddler’s Cove
Mount Maelstrom – Conundrum Cubed
Diessa Plateau – Crimson Plateau, Grendich Gamble
Iron Marches – Chaos Crystal Cavern
Fireheart Rise – Pig Iron Quarry and possibly Vexa’s Lab and/or Rebel’s Seclusion
Frostgorge Sound – Shattered Ice Ruins
Malchor’s Leap – Antre of Adjournment (Scavenger’s Chasm is possible as well)

So yeah, if someone does show up this is what I have planned. I can adjust for lower levels.
If you’d like to join in the middle send me a whisper and I’ll give current location.

Hopefully I’ll see someone there.

Jumping Puzzle Tour

Event: Jumping With Cew (<— think cue/queue)
When: Sunday, 7th July 2:00 pm Server Time
Where: Farshore Waypoint, Lion’s Arch, Jade Quarry
Organizer: Cew.5168 (Soul Of Cew pictured below)

Other Info: Sorry about it being short notice. I thought it’d be fun to tour Tyria through JPs. Good place to start is LA. First JP will be Weyandt’s Revenge and then the other two in LA. After that I can go to any JP except WvW (maybe some other time). I will also help with Explorer Achievements such as Vexa’s Lab.

You may either jump the puzzle with me or wait at a specified location for a portal. I will have my commander pin up with markers. If you are going to hang around through multiple puzzles I suggest you either party with me or join squad otherwise I might leave thinking no one is waiting. I also ask that you help others find the correct marker as my portal locations may be different than others’. i.e. Troll’s End I like to port where the road splits to Western Ward and Hooligan’s Route and not at the bend in Western Ward.

Purpose of this event is to help people with puzzles and make new friends. So feel free to chat it up. For those who don’t know, these JPs can be more fun or irritating with more people.

PS – To join a squad when you aren’t next to a commander:

  1. Open up world map
  2. Click on the commander’s pin
  3. Join Squad

There’s no confirmation that you joined the squad unless you say something in /squad (/d) and someone replies or you see markers labeled Squad Attack/Defend/Rally Point.

If you can’t make it to this time I am open to doing JPs anytime I am on. Don’t hesitate to pm me.

Battle of Claw Island - Trebuchet bug?

I got that message once too and thought it was bugged. When I did the mission again I found that I wasn’t holding the fire button long enough. So that is most likely your problem.

I do know somewhere in the Wintersday forum there is a page of Choir Bell tabs.

Anyway I have The Tale Of The Mad King Thorn from Halloween:
Horn – lower octave (any octave will do but the lowest sounds the best)

Verse one:
356535356
67876756
78767566787
67876756
67876756

Verse two:
356535356
678767536
678767566787
67876756
67876756

Fear Not This Night (last section because in other sections there are accidentals):
Horn – lower or middle octave start depending on preference

6(0)13(9)6
877576
6(0)136
877576(9)

6(0)13(9)6

Rate the Humans name above you

10/10 for invoking great memories. Talon Silverwing would be proud.

I have three humans:
Mesmer – Mind Of Cew (cue) Designed after GW1 character of same prof/name. Mesmers play mind games and Cew is my initials.
Guardian – Heart Of Cew Fits guardian better than the original dervish character.
Thief – Eva Nesco Eva means “life” and Nesco would just be a random surname, but the name actually comes from “evanesco” (e-van-es-co long vowels). Latin meaning to i.) vanish/disappear ii.) fade away/die out iii.) lapse.

So why are you a Human?

in Human

Posted by: Cew.5168

Cew.5168

Truth be told my asuras outnumber my humans. But I wanted to bring in that descendant quality to my characters.

Mind Of Cew (mes) is the Nth descendant of Mind Of Cew (mes).
Eva Nesco (thief) has a fascination with all things Elonian. She draws inspiration from Evanesco Cew (dervish).
Heart Of Cew also a dervish from Elona inspired a guardian of the same name.

It’s not very creative, but I can’t really complain. I wasn’t too concerned with naming convention either.

Necromancer – Si I [DOE] (Sido).
Came from a GW flashback when someone thought I was trying to emulate sewer with C E W [AUR].

Screens of your Sylvari

My Sylvari at 80
Like her so far but still a few peices and alternative armour sets to get her

none of these screens show the T2 cultural shoulder pieces (apart from one but you can barely see it :P ) that I normally show, but for some reason I’d hidden them.

I really liked your armor combo so I used it for my own sylvari.

I recently did a makeover. I have before and after shots. Here is the final choice of C E W the ele.

I can’t believe that I just recently found out sylvari glow-in-the-dark.

My 1st lv 80. Such a fun class:)

I like your angle of capture and the staff. I had to do a double take when I saw the picture. I first thought I was looking at Maleficent until I actually examined the picture.

Meet April Rain

Could anyone tell me what armour is that? (it’s on page 4)
Thank you.

That would be Exalted armor. It is the 400 Rare from Tailoring.

Here’s C E W, my sylvari elementalist named after her fellow ele from 250+ years ago. I have the Snapdragon Coat, and Orchid Gloves/Pants/Boots in Mahogany, Tea Jeans, Fog, and Country Teal.
