My guild has gone of to other games :-( I still love to play my thief and would like to run with a mature thief guild or group that loves to WvWvW. I am in PAC timezone.

I have been playing a thief since the game released and I still love it to this day. I have been playing pvp mmo’s since DAoC (my first love) and really enjoyed the stealth game there too. I was reading in the forum a few months ago about people trying to make an all thief guild.. Did that ever happen?

Looking to join some mature fellow thieves to play with. My guild is off to other games now sadly.

I hope the nerf bat is not too bad for us :-( I love to play this toon and have been a thief since day one. Its the only toon I care to play- im STILL happy. I have played stealth classes since DAoC and this thief is my fave. When I lvld I was d/d and relied on DB a lot. When I hit 80 and went to WvW or sPVP I learned real quick that it took me too long to kill. I run with a small pvp guild and I felt a bit weak running d/d condition build. So I changed to more of a burst build d/d BS. I can kill quicker and have a chance in WvW as long as I dont run into the middle of large battle :-) I love how you can change this class to play completely different.

For those who qq about Heart Seeker… WTH else am I supposed to do after my initial burst and I need to drop someone fast with little initiative? Use DB instead???? maybe switch to SB and drop CB’s ?? Give me a break lol.

Thieves can easily 1v1 any class that IS NOT played well or just mediocre but, those people who are alert and know how to play their class it is not easy and can be very challenging.

Fix the stealth issue and a lot of the qq will go away IMO- pvp speaking. But please, please, please do not make us a high-bread kitten tanky class and ruin the Thief.

Gear progression is a facet of character progression- sorta like one half of it. DAoC had an expansion called “Trials of Atlantis” (TOA) which did just that. Instead of raising the level cap they added new gear that had to be worn to level up. To unlock its stats you would have to kill certain mobs per artifact you were unlocking. Man was my Scarab Vest a grind to unlock- others were not as bad :-)

The other half was Champion levels (or master levels cant remember), which by doing certain events would give certain abilities based on the path you chose to go down. Those abilities were not that big of a deal but could help in both PvE and PvP at times. This would be the second half of player progression.

Some people hated TOA and others liked it. I personally was one who liked it. My guild mates got their artifacts they wanted and we went out and unlocked them via grinding out the mobs needed to do so. We did the PvE grind for one reason and that was for getting better gear to PvP in and then go gain some more RP’s :-)

RP’s came from doing what we love- PvP! It was not a grind at all.

My point about titles is… I would like to know if I am about to engage a RR3 Myrmidon, Brehon or Fammen Vakten vs a RR10 Dragon Knight, Emerald Rider or Einherjar . The main reason being player skill and other being abilities they have due to RP’s.

And to your point nofo regarding sPvP I agree with you for the most part. sPvP is an entirely different game style. I think it is a nice option, I just hope ArenaNet is not going to be so caught up in eSports that they neglect WvWvW.

I agree with you nofo- for what it is worth. I was expecting more from wvwvw and for it to be more like DAoC. Much of my guild has already left the game due to its WoW BG feel- no end game really. We really need an RP system and titles and YES Stop the friggen server transfer’s! The past week on Black Gate has been very VERY slow- I even reinstalled DayZ its so bad. I hope the devs read this and other suggestions from the community. This game has a lot of potential- I know there is a lot of upcoming changes for sPvP, I hope to hear the same for WvWvW- SOON!

Good to know about the AMD 965… I am going to start getting the parts to upgrade.. Thanks for the advice and the links Zerk this helps me a lot. . Would the extra money for the Z77 Mobo and the i5 2500K be worth it? Ill be playing GW2 DayZ (when its stand alone) and maybe Planetside 2.

I have a pc that is a bit old but still playable- or has been…

MOBO: Asus M3A78
CPU: Phenom 1 9850 2.5ghz
RAM: 8gigs of DDR2 800
GPU: HD 6870
800W powersupply
Windows 7

It runs the game fine (30-50 fps) until WvWvW… thats when it drops to 20 – 5 fps.

I love WvWvW and cant live with this fps currently. Could my CPU be causing the bottle neck? And if so, the best quad core I can put in this board is Phenom ii 955….

I can live with 30fps and even 25 at the lowest in large battles… If I can upgrade my current CPU to the 955 I would rather do that… If I need a new board and cpu then im going to just get a new PC. Can anyone offer some feed back on this? I would appreciate it!
