To answer your question, during those strong times : it was there. Despite flucuations in numbers, even when we didn’t have those, we never strayed from our organisation, particularly in off peak. That’s how we stayed in T1. That’s how we had close matches and not scores like 100 000 vs 30 000.

About superior siege, it’s usually just for the speed boost, giving less time to the other side to react, and, more importantly, being able to do something else more quickly.
More and more people are able to afford it, so basically, no reason to use anything else.

I don’t know how much of an offpeak population advantage VS really has (though it exists atm), because of the lack of organisation of other servers for this.
If you gathered your forces, from all the maps, into one strike force (doing anything else at 3-4am is bound to fail), maybe you would manage something ? Or maybe those 15 ppl that could play to equalize the fights wouldn’t rage quit because they can’t do anything ?

Right estimates : 30 (max) ppl for the combat group (basically chewing up everything at off peak), 5 ppl to scout. This being across 3 maps (excluding EB).
It doesn’t take more than that to get to +600 if the other side does nothing and have no coordination.

Same number being random pugs trying to kill dolyaks solo, or being killed by guards or chickens (I take that role sometimes).

Seriously.. 300, wtf? That’s like a third of prime-time (ie. max number of players).
Do the maps look like that at 4 or 5am ?! Ever played at that time?

Then have a real warm feeling of accomplishment in your heart because of what you did, and go to the forums to flex your muscles and speak about “huge domination in open field combat” or “those VS rats who flee the fights and don’t do anything apart from staying in their forst”.

it’s not even that it’s literally the menality of VZ they don’t fight, at all. They watch points and take advantage of noone being there to oppose them because they get wiped off the map when they actually come out from behind a walls.

If you think the score doesn’t matter, you are not playing 3W, and you may as well post in another forum.

It’s the score. It matters. It’s fundamental to the game. You accept it when you play the game, you don’t fantasize your own rules to make it so you are winning.

There is no “right” or “wrong”.
If the score was how many chickens each server kills, it would be stupid, but it would still be the score.

If you don’t accept it, don’t play 3W, stop whining and inventing yourselves your own rules to declare yourself the best.
Because there is no “winning” or “losing”, just winning or losing.

The correct analogy with your case would be a football player losing a game and then saying “score doesn’t matter, our game was way better than the other team’s game in the first period, so you know, we don’t care, our ability to play football is way better than yours, even if we keep losing”.
