Just a followup here from what i can find online and in the threads here the majority use this build for SPvP? I found some specifics for the build/gear for those would it be the same for a PvE based build?
Probably removed in the last patch with the Dodge stun break fix.
Of course I mean burn them all BUILD not THREAD. SORRY
Hey All,
I am recently returning to the game after a brief hiatus (Had a kid at the beginning of January as well as starting at a new Job so my plate has been ridiculously full) and was looking to start a guardian. I am fairly new to the game still (Think my highest level character is 50 something) and I was looking in the build thread and saw the “Burn Them All” build. Would this be a good build for playing mostly solo leveling with the intent of doing as many dungeons and Fractals as possible end game (will do some PvP from time to time for flavor however not my end goal).
Any suggestions of builds that might be better? I am looking to be more of a DPS/Support character than anything else if at all possible with this class. Any gear/trait suggestions would be amazing as well.
I am sorry if this has been asked numerous times but I could not find anything while surfing through the forums here and I am currently at work and not supposed to be posting on forums :P.

Just a note I did read Sheobix’s gear stat rundown so I am SORT of aware of what I should be looking for on gear. Just need a little help on trait point allocation and what skills work well at level 10/20/30 pts or whatever it is within the trait lines.

In the process of leveling my necro here. Currently am using Staff and Scepter/Warhorn as my weaps and am just wondering how to build my Necromancer to best utilize the weapon skills I will be using.
That being said would a condition based Necro work well with these weapons? If so what would a standard build look like for it?
If there is another build that would work better with these weapons (Focusing on wells?). If that is the case what would that build look like as well.
Sorry I am still very new to this game and a lot of the info in here seems to be written for the non-lamen :P
Best to keep in mind I will be solo a LOT of the time and I will be focusing mainly on PvE/Dungeons as I level and not any of the PvP aspects with this toon. Sure I might hit up WvWvW and PvP at level cap so if there is a way to build where I won’t be a complete useless dummy in PvP when I get to that point then by all means share it with me and I will make note of it.

Thanks a lot for the prompt responses all. I have quite a bit to look over here and decide what fits my style of play. Funny you brought up the mashing 2-5 manticore because that is EXACTLY the reason I wanted to deviate from the staff weapon in the first place.

Hey All,
New to the game (only have my first toon up to lvl 19 and a couple of lvl 16 alts when i was trying to pick a main) and I am looking to get some advice from the pro’s.
Currently I am using Staff as my main weapons and Scepter/Dagger as my weapon swap. I just wanted to see if I am making a good selection as far as PvE builds would go. This game is a different beast than the MMO’s I have played in the past (starting with UO) and do not want to wste my time adjusting to a weapon playstyle that in the end is going to have to be changed as I progress further and further in the game and things get a little more challenging. Do weapons even matter other than for flavour in PvE? I have read that condition builds are not the best since your DPS gets capped as soon as the debuff you are applying (IE bleed etc) hit the max number of stacks.
Any help would be very much appreciated,
