Pet passive mode

Thank you all for being patient with this. Something we introduced on 3/16 broke passive mode. We believe we now have a fix for this and it is in testing. As soon as we confirm this fix has solved this issue we will push it to the live game at the first possible time.

Hey John,

While the “broken” passive mode had a few disadvantages, it also had advantages. For example I really liked how I did not have to command my passive pet each time to attack an enemy (although that made pulling harder). I would really like to see something like that as another pet mode in HoT as a QoL improvement. So that we end up with three pet stances:

  • Aggressive: Attacks everything on sight.
  • Defensive: Only attacks the enemy you are attacking.
  • Passive: Only attacks if specifcly commanded to.

I would really appreciate this.

The Wintersday Earmuffs cannot be gifted, which makes them the only item in the whole Style Category.

Same here. We also did the Quest and did not get the Reward.

[Bug] Molten Bosses - Perma Invulnerability

Did the 2nd boss (the one you did not kill) play their animations to walk over and absorb the other’s abilities, or did they keep on attacking you as if the phase-shift never occurred? Can you provide any more details on what you were doing at the time (chain CCing, wiping, etc.)

We are investigating this but the more details you can provide, the easier it will be for us to narrow it down.

No he did not play the Animation. The phase-shift never occured and he kept on attacking. At least in my run with Ceya and the others. There was no chain CCing involved but wiping.

It happened like this:

Our whole party wiped, but the Molten Firestorm didn’t lose aggro. So he walked up the bridge to the location where the Molten Effigy Champion formerly was. Upon killing him, he mysteriously ressurected and was from then on invulnerable. The Animation did not play. Then we killed the Molten Berserker, hoping that this would trigger the second phase. It did not and there was still no Animation. From then on the Molten Firestorm was eternally standing on the bridge and although we tried to pull him to us he never came near of getting into the circle.
In our attempts to lure him to the circle, the ring of air the Molten Firestorm creates in phase 2 was sometimes for the fraction of a second visible before it dissappeared again.
