This is exactly what I have for my 32-bit client. It shouldn’t make a difference which version you use though.
Honestly, what you’re trying should be working.
My shortcut for my alt account has
-email a@b.c -password “password” -nopatchui
added and works just fine.
edit:It does give me a blank screen for a few seconds but then goes on to char select
Do you have email authentification enabled and maybe need to authenticate the IP you’re logging in from? Since you’re skipping the patcher that may be where it all hangs up.

You pretty much have to wait for your server to rotate to the right areas and for off hours. Otherwise, I agree. WvW needed for map completion is a terrible idea.
However, rumor has it this might be changed in the near future. . . .
Thought I would share my build.
Axe/Axe + Rifle

The idea, like many others in this thread, to get better damage without going glass cannon. The nice thing about my build, is that there is less pressure to go full zerker to do good damage. You can easily replace a fair bit of the zerker gear in this build and still be doing fair damage.
However being the kind to love big numbers, I am running the most DPS-y version of my build(I feel should be done), while still having over 21,000 HP, and ~ 2,200 armor.
The way I decided to go about it was to almost completely ignore my precision stat as a Crit focused warrior, and instead go for perma-fury, sigils of intelligence, and a sigil of perception, to more than make up for my otherwise neglected stat. This allows me to swap more of my armor/trinkets/traits with precision, to those with vitality, and toughness(if I so please, could always go full glass cannon anyways and have crazy hit chance.)
Pros;
-More damage and survivability overall
-Crazy Burst
-More flexibility with gear stats
-Lots of fun skill rotation options(Many involving quick and well timed weapon swaps)
-Fun to play
-Has decent amount of swiftness, also has stability and condition removal
-No adrenaline issues
Cons;
-Even with crack shot trait, Rifle does not have the best AoE
-Long cast on Rifles burst, making harder/trickier to use
-Lack of good leap, rush and other mobility skills(However Rifles burst is the only skill that locks you in place)
-Two of your Utility Skills, For Great Justice and Signet of Rage, cannot be swapped out for other Utility skills without hurting the builds damage. These two skills are what allow perma-fury. (This is probably the biggest setback, however if another skill is absolutely needed for a particular event, boss, etc., you can swap one out. It just means you won’t have fury all the time.)
Hi Mexx, I’m EU so cant answer your question.
But instead of going on others peoples judgement, why not try it for yourself? you can guest to other servers (up to two per day). So that would be the best way to find out wich server suits you best.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Sweet rain of golden coins, Aberrant, that crafting guide is much better than the one I’ve been using. Into my bookmarks it goes!
You can level with the XP, craft for profit, craft for yourself at a discounted price Vs. the TP, refine materials (some times those sell for more), and craft ascended gear.
Here are a couple of things that may help you:
http://www.gw2spidy.com/ (look at the crafting area to see where you can profit… and you can use it to see if it’s better to craft yourself Vs. buy something you need)
http://gw2crafts.net/ (crafting guide updated hourly so you can get it to 400/450/500 for the least amount of gold)
If you’re crafting to level you can get 58 levels out of it. If you have a birthday/achievement 1-20 scroll that becomes 78 if you pop it before crafting. Still not as good as it used to be, but not bad.

I want to take a moment to give you an update on how we will enforce part of our forum Code of Conduct in the future. This pertains the part regarding personal attacks against staff members.
As we have mentioned in the past, these forums are here to facilitate discussions among yourselves and between you and our developers. We value all constructive feedback, be it positive or not. But we will draw a line when posts include personal attacks on members of the studio (yes, “cleverly” disguised ones as well).
Our goal is to have a healthy forum community and provide a place where people can have constructive and respectful conversations and dialogue with our staff members.
So from this point forward, everybody who personally attacks a member of the studio will get an immediate 2 week forum suspension on the first violation. Any further attack on studio members will result in a permanent termination of your posting rights.
You have been warned.
To be honest I’ve been in WvW for 4 days now trying to get all the last points
and I love it! Hate the exploration bit but a decent team (When available) and Zerg upon Zerg is also fun too :p
I am only bitter that it’s a pain the PvE and WvW world are combined for the exploration title/achievement! when in reality it should be a PvE thing in my opinion.
And if it were purely PVE you wouldn’t have set foot in WvW in a million years.
So maybe the reason for WvW POIs et al becomes clear?
Anet, make it happen.
Please make wxp account bound! How are any of our alts supposed to ever compete against someone that has Full stacks of 250+Power, 250+Vitality, 250+ Condition dmg and have time gated ascended gear/legendaries?
….
To play wvw nearly exclusively and always feel under classed, even though account wide you have more levels than other people, is just lame and a terrible mechanic.
+1

WvW feels like it is slowly becoming impossible to ever feel competative if you even play ONE alt! Now adding in this new Orb mechanic is further buff/debuff. This is getting to the point that most people cant even leave there zerg because they cant kill a fully buffed opponent if you are on an under classed alt.

I’m going to have serious doubts about Anet if this isn’t their top priority at the moment.
WvW is very unrewarding. Very unfriendly to new players. Stacking buffs snowball winning servers out of control. New map changes and masteries make defense utterly pointless. People are leaving WvW out of sheer frustration left right and centre.
But making map completion easier for the PvE’ers is what their priority should be? My god…
Hey everyone,
With Tuesday’s release we are gearing up to launch the new Looking For Group tool for Guild Wars 2. As the system comes online, our primary focus is with the quality and the stability. To ensure a solid rollout, we’ll turn on the LFG tool in beta form to a subset of players. As the week goes on, we’ll periodically unlock the system to additional groups of players.
In Tuesday’s release notes, you’ll see the complete list of what the feature will do once we’ve fully unlocked the system. However, during the beta rollout not everyone will be able to use the LFG tool and the World vs. World subcategories will be disabled.
The Looking for Group feature has been highly requested and we’re excited to be this close to its final release, but quality is paramount. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding while we work through this phased beta rollout and with any problems we encounter.
Thanks,
Mike Zadorojny
& the Looking For Group team
