Guild Wars 2

I could not find anything about this posted in this thread, if so please direct mt to the link…

My computer crashed (unrelated to GW2) an I reinstalled operating system from scratch. I am running Windows10 now and decided to install the 64 bit client from the website to have a fresh install. The download, install, and update process finished.

I wanted to put the program exe shortcut on my desktop for easy access. the only Gw2 files I could find are the ones I could find were in the Download folder:

GW2.dat
GW2.tmp
GW2-64.exe
GW2-64.tmp

I guess I was expecting it create a Guild Wars folder under Programs (64bit) and place more files.

The game is running slow even after adjusting the video settings (I have played other games and they run fine). Should I have installed the original disk and then moved the 64 bit files over?

Any suggestions?

I bought Gems with real money. I am not going to complain about the items I used the gems to purchase, such as; keys, character slots, bag slots, or chests (boxes). That was my decision to spend real money and I will do it again. However, I did spend considerable amount of extra money on a non-subscription game.

I get all sorts of candy, cookies, lotions, etc. during the holiday season from businesses I frequent often. It should be easy for Anet to see the purchase level of Gems with cash transactions and offer a small token of appreciation. It won’t cost them anything if they give a gift in the form of additional Gems in the store or some type of gift bag in game. They can use the in-game email to notify of our “special” holiday gift.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I need help. This is my first Ranger build ever. I have searched for days and can’t find a build to fit my needs. I am having trouble with damage and survivability with my lvl 80 ranger. My current build is:

My pets are Brown Bear/ Polar Bear. I use a Longbow/Shortbow or Shortbow/Sword,Warhorn depending how far I have to travel. I want to primarily focus on doing 100% Map Clear, Major Events, and Farming high end mats.

OK, low level areas are the same for all lvl 80. I can just run through enemies. My pet does an awsome job as a meat shild/damage dealer. However, when I start getting into the mid range maps, the pet starts becoming less effective. By the time I am in Frostgorge Sound, I get wiped almost instantly.

I do not plan on using the ranger in Dungeons, Fractionals, PVP, or WvW. I have other alts I use in these areas. My gear is currently lvl 80 rare centered around Power, Precision, and Critical. I can afford to make or buy Exotic, but don’t want to make the purchase until I am sure I have the right build.

Any help is appreciated, I need a full workover.
