Legendary armor obtainable without raids?

Something might be wrong with me. I can play PvE, PvP, WvW, Fractals, JPs, and Dungeons. I love every mode gw2 has, but for some reason i cannot get into raids.

Maybe its because its pug unfriendly? All other modes are easy to pug and start withing minutes of loading GW2.

GW2 still rocks. Still plenty to do even if i cannot raid for some reason.

I try and look at it from another angle. My first $60 three years ago got me 3 years of free game play with new content almost every month. So i hope this $50 xpac will get me 3 more subscription free years with free content every month.

Annelid rifle

Does anyone know if the Annelid Rifle have any particle effects or shoots differently? I checked youtube and google and can not find any information on this rifle besides a very few pictures and the drop location. Thanks

Would it be better if it was GvGvG. (Guilds vs Guilds vs Guilds)

To start off you will need a PVP guild (which would have to be a new creation or not). Solo players can be make a solo guild or just have them randomly placed into a world.

Your guild will be ranked and your guild rank will determine you place in the world maps. This will create great variety and help population. For example,

World 1: Rank 1 Guild, Rank 11 Guild, Rank 22 guild..etc.
World 2: R2G, R12G, R22G etc…etc..
World 3: r3g, r13g, r23g….
World 4: r4g, r14g, r24g…..
World 5: r5g, r15g, r25g…..
World 6: r6g, r16g, r26g
World 7: r7g, r17g, r27g
World 8: r8g, r18g, r28g
World 9: r9g, r19g, r29g
World 10: r10g, r20g, r30g

That’s just an example and I’m sure it can be adjusted or randomized to balance all world with better population and variety of players.

Guilds can be scored independently for guild ranking and bonus reward for world rank.
Your guild captured X keeps , killed X dolyaks, and killed X players and your guild score/rank is XXXX.

You could even give out rewards at the end of the week based on your guild rank and bonus reward on world rank. I know there will be guild hoppers but the guild leaders get decide if they want the hoppers into their guild. Or the rewards can only be given to a player who has spent atleast X amount of time in WvWvW. Or 24 hours after reset is the only time to switch PvP guilds.

I seems like the population would be more balanced. People would fight harder for there guild score. No more dead servers always losing and players feeling like they have absolutely no hope.

Magic Find [merged]

I read in one of the blog post that legendary weapons will have the ability to change their stats on the at will. What if they allow your magic find gear have a one time change stats ability per armor piece. That way the magic find gear is no longer a waste no need to figure out refund cost.

They should just make a que system for the dungeons. If I solo or if I have a small party and enter a dungeon it should say “you don’t have enough people do you want to enter the dungeon solo or enter a que”. Once inside the que it will find all players trying to do that dungeon and match you up with other players that want to do that dungeon. My time is limited and I don’t want to spend 30 min looking for a party when I only got 2 hours to play. Even if the que takes 30min I can go do other things while I wait and once the que is ready ill have enough time to do atleast one dungeon run. I don’t like or want too stand in one zone spamming LFG or waiting for someone to see my LFG that may never happen.

Remove Orange Swords To Fix Zerg Issue

What if you where in a big zerg of 50 people then your enemys would see the orange swords if that zerg attacked anything. Small groups of 5 or 10 would not get the orange sword for attacking anything.

I know some people will say that goes against ANETs theme of people working and grouping together and people will shout out leave the zerg we only need 49 people. So it does need something else like a random number based on the amount of people on each server.

Server 1 has 500 people …server 2 has 200 people …. server 3 has 100 people. Server one will get the orange server if 20 or more people group up within a 100ft radius..server 2 will get orange sword if 40 people group up.. and server 3 will get the sword if 50 people group up…

Zergs are still needed for some areas but this might make it more appealing for smaller groups to break off.

WvWvW Idea...Master Guilds

My idea on how WvWvW could have been…

All players can play on all servers and move to any server for free.

Before entering WvWvW or have an NPC at lions arch, you have to sign up for a master guild. The master guilds are made up by Anet. (Crystal Desert, Blackgate, Darkhaven, etc.) The guilds are like how the servers are now. Your master guild gets bonuses and extra stuff if they are winning in WvWvW. Each master guild gets rankings. (Rank1, Rank2, Rank3, etc.) You can switch your master guild for a fee. The higher the ranking the more gold it cost to switch. So rank1 master guild will cost 200 gold and the master guild on the bottom cost 1g to switch.

Who fights who? There are many ways this can be done. One example, is a blocking system. Block 1 is composed of rank 1,2,3 master guilds. Block 2 is composed of rank 4,5,6. Block 3 is composed of rank 7,8,9 and so on. Rank 1 always fights rank2 and 3. Rank 2 always fights rank 1 and 3. Rank 3 always fights rank 1 and 2. After the two week period (or any time period) there is a WvWvW reset and rank 3 rotate with rank 4. Making rank 3 downgrade to rank 4 and making rank 4 upgrade to rank 3. This continues on with all other rankings.

So rank 3-4, 6-7, 9-10, 12-13 and so on keep rotating every two weeks.

7,8,9
10,11,12
Etc..

I think this would make the WvWvW equal in a sense that each master guild will only fight other Master guild of the same level. And it can make master guild’s strive for the 1,4,7,10 rankings for a chance to improve their master guilds status. It would also give the game title “Guild Wars” more meaning if we had to choose a master guild over a server.

There are many different ways this could be done.
