As a long time player since GW1 and Mac user, I am very grateful for this new version! I notice that it is very stable, but loading times are really really slow, even after the loading screen ends. I believe that once you have everything back in sync, I will finally be free of bootcamp!
Wish there was more I could do to help test, since I had the privilege to beta test GW2 when it first came out.
This is just an idea to throw on the back burner in light of all the other major developments going on.
Has ANet ever considered creating a Guild Name Change item we can purchase?
As a guild leader, I would love to have the option to rename the guild I created/lead. Now that Guild Halls has come out and many people have invested heavily into its upgrade, I think it would be a welcomed option.
Hello, really enjoying using the API.
I was tapping into the inventory/bank but some people are getting 404 errors. Those who were have purchased additional bank slots. Could there be an issue or is it just my programming error?
Could I be passing too many ID’s at once?
Hello! I have been getting into working with this API and it has been a blast so far. Wish I would have built up my tools 2 years ago lol! Anyway, I was wondering if there were endpoints for PvE map completion. I would like to create a tool that lists out each zone with all its spots and create a checklist for each character and what they have unlocked.
I am also really looking forward to the guild endpoints so I can create tools to help me better manage my guild.
We have unlocked all the bank slots available for our guild. I would like to designate one for leaders, another for officers, and the last for all guild members.
Currently we can only establish access control over two areas, the deep cave falling under the control of the treasure trove.
Can we have the deep cave have its own access control?
I love GW2. I am thoroughly enjoying as much of the content as possible. As someone who is in video game design (artist and minor development), I understand about some of the hiccups our community is complaining about. Here is one problem and an idea I had that I would like to present to ANet.
Problem: Living Story lore is disconnecting with players and 2 week releases are feeling a bit overwhelming for some players.
Solution: Why not run the Living story like a TV show or anime story arc? Have a set season with particular stories that will run for like 14 weeks and break.
I think this would benefit the game and players because:
1. It packages the content in easier to digest chunks and presents the content in a more manageable way so users can follow along.
2. Archiving. ANet has been creating gorgeous animations for the story. Perhaps you can take snap shots and create comic book like pages of the entire story players can read back on, even if they missed the actual content.
3. Time to appreciate and reflect. I know that in order to make money, ANet needs people to play the game and purchase content. I believe that with the WvW and sPvP, there is some wiggle room for PvE. People who enjoy PvE typically enjoy the story and lore behind it. No need to rush more of it out. I would like a chance to discuss “last week’s episode” or have some time to reflect on an entire story arc.
It might even be cool to have a players character go through like an in game questionnaire (via NPC/story) to see how they were affected by the story and have it affect their character. Then tie that into that comic pages archive idea and players can find themselves in the story.
Ok, this is starting to tumble all over itself. I hope you find this idea helpful. I love this game and wish I had a hand in making it.
