My engineer, in full set of crafted exotic gear but reskinned to Krytan skin.

using a matching shield transmuted to exotic, “godskull targe”

pistol is mystic forge “mystic pistol”

I love the pistol/shield engineer with flamethrower as my utility, as personal battering ram giving me 3 knockbacks using shield, ram, flamethrower swap knockback.

plus traited for burns and condition dmg to boost burns and such and burn on crit.

love my setup so far

grr happened again twice today once during a boss fight so i couldnt swap to rifle to “rocket jump” to move since it doesnt let you swap weapons during combat so had to relog.

This seems to occur randomly

I’ve had it happen in Arah dungeon and I’ve had it happen out in normal zones.

I kill a mob or agro a mob, Or I stand still for a moment, then I find I can’t move

WSAD movement doesn’t work. I haven’t crashed and I can still chat in chat window so i know the WSAD keys working.

I press the default dodge key and nothing happens I press space bar and nothing happens can’t jump, cant’ dodge, can’t move.

I found the only way I can fix this problem is as an engineer swap to rifle and use the “rocket jump”, or if a mob that does a knockback is near agro one to knock me down.

Or relogging works.

This is getting annoying and seems to happen randomly. I have had it happen during a fight, I’ve also had it happen where I’ve stopped for a moment to answer my phone and come back to find I can’t move.

It’s not a super common phenomenon but it just happens at random. I’ve had this happen on 2 pc’s now, I recently bought a new gaming pc and the same thing is happening on it at random as it happened on my old pc.

my old pc was Windows XP my new pc is Windows 7 so I don’t think it’s my fault.

Anyhow I bug reported it in game and many in my guild had said it’s happened to them on occasion.

Something is really off, and ignore anyone saying it’s your vid card being a 500 series. they are morons

to show you there is some problem with newer nvidia cards

I am playing guild wars 2 on the following

AMD Dual Core 4200 cpu
2 gigs kingston hyperx ram
EVGA GTX Plus 9800 Nvidia card with 1 gig ram
500 gig western digital black hard drive

my video card is old as hell, the last 9800 series before nvidia went to 3 digit numbers for cards.

I get 40-70 fps in pve and 25-30 fps in wvw and 30-50 fps in instanced pvp.

and my system was built back in 2007 for 600 bucks

to do combos

combo field ability starts it up

combo finisher does just that.

I use my shield aoe knockback to initiate combo blast

you can do shield aoe knockback blast in a water field for aoe heal

or to do your own combo blast

use flame thrower to lay down wall of flame (mouseover is combo field)
then swap to pistol/shield then aoe knockback shield ability in the wall flame will do a huge aoe fire combo.
