I play necro in pvp for a long time and know other profession bursts and can handle them… but rangers are kinda my worst opponents!
if rangers are on a safespot (upper area) where i cant reach them then im forced to chase other points because necros are ALWAYS the first target in tpvp its frustrating

im a power necro and i have much trouble vs longbow rangers. since the recent balance patch where they got buffed the lb ranger population raised in tpvp… how do you fight’em?

-The minimap clutter is too much.
Reds are stacked under blue… Blues are stacked under red… you can never tell if it’s a 1v1 or 1v2 happening. Mesmer clones are also visible for no reason.-Turn the minimap’s Red and Blue icons as Health Bars.
In tournaments they show the entire map to the viewers. For the spectators, we don’t see anything other than the rotations of people. It can be extra exciting if we see a thief roaming towards a very low Blue/Red icon.
Have a constant solid outline of red or blue around these icons, with a lighter hue filling that icons color.
1% health means that icon’s completely see through with the exception of that icon’s outlined.-Target yourself option.
There are many instances when downed, that I wish I could Target myself to better notify my team. Perhaps a “Target Yourself” or “Self Target” as a key bind in Options.Several other UI revisions may be needed, but I feel these are the most important ones.
You’re exactly on point OP. If there’s a PvP List of items to add, I hope these are added as well. Even if it takes forever to get implemented, it’s at least acknowledged by the Devs and on their to-do list… eventually.
Oh, i didn’t knew! But to be honest i would be surprised if nobody mentioned it before and made a thread. Thank you for posting, these changes from this topic are indeed good improvements for the minimap.

I watched Go4Gw2 Stream today – was my first time watching a competitive PvP Tournament Stream (though i play since BWE1).
While i watched it i noticed that someone who’s new to PvP wouldn’t really understand what’s happening due to:
- Small Health Bars when spectating on a fixed point of view (these eyes on the minimap)
- While Fight not seeing how much health each player lost (again on fixed pov) and maybe too much numbers here and there when spectating as player point of view
- Position of Foes behind or near on player point of View (especially for fast-paced professions like mesmer or thief)
Here are my Suggestions:
- Change Heal/Damage-numbers (for example 2000 damage) to 50% transparent percentage numbers (for example 10% of full life) as player point of view and add the Heal/Damage-numbers (percentage, as mentioned) to fixed point of view (above the player)
- Profession-Icons of Foes that are near/behind you (you may know that icon from mario kart when a shell is tracking you)
- I may exaggerate on this one, but maybe Condition- and (maybe if it’s not too much) Skill-Icons that are 50% transparent above the Caster or Foe (blue or red hinted according if applied/casted).
What do you think? Feel free to improve/criticize my suggestions.

i have really awful lagg ingame since feature patch (Living in EU, server on eu). I did a short brake from gw2 in hope that this will be fixed, today i logged in again and the lagg is still there. There were already threads with this problem but somehow i cant find them.
any official statement from a-net?
There were already 2v2 and 3v3 Tournaments organized from Mistleague if i remember correctly!
Keep in mind that there are people who like DM and people who dislike this Game Mode.
Was chillin at BC, collecting waypoints and stuff then i arrived The Bane.
It seems like an arena from the Charr, kind of a Deathmatch Arena and since i’m only playing pvp in gw2 i was thinking if this could really be a new pvp game mode/map… Why could it be a new game mode/map you may ask, but look at the pvp stream Developer Behind the Scenes: PvP map creation (First Map and Second Map) from Anet.
The first map “quite didn’t make it” in the game, the second one was planned for the future of GW2 PvP. Both are Charr-like in my opinion!
But there’s one thing i can’t explain myself… PvP in Guild Wars 2 exists only in the Mists, wouldn’t make sense lore-wise (with The Bane) and we already have a Deathmatch map but not a Deathmatch Tournament Queue…
In Ready Up: Episode 2 Anet said they support these 2v2/3v3 DM Events (already occured for example on Legacy on Foefire).
Does this mean there will be no DM Tournament Team-/SoloQueues in the near future and will continue with 2v2/3v3-Events on the already existing maps? Or is it in any stream/forum post announced?
Off-Topic:
Another thing is the (accidently?) revealed map in the Mist-Map Stronghold – Castle, already mentioned in this Forum. Plus the Statements of the Devs the last few days “Next SPvP Release” let me speculate even more about the Incoming Content for Guild Wars 2 PvP.

I opened the MAP in the HotM and noticed a pvp map above Legacy of Foefire.
I know that this map already got datamined/has been shown from anet on a twitch stream but does it mean something that this is already in the MAP or is it just a bug? Also the name of the map “Stronghold – Castle” is above of Coultyard.

Would be a huge and underestimated buff if we can pre-cast weapon skills before entering DS without cancelling casts or even channeling skills don’t you think?

i have a question about the DS change. I know i could wait till patch day but im bored atm so… here’s the question:
Death Shroud: Players can now interact with objects while in Death Shroud
We’ll be able to interact with objects in DS. Will this also mean that pre-casted skills before entering DS won’t be canceled? For example if we are stomping a foe (stomp-cast) and we enter ds it won’t be canceled post patch (correct me if i’m wrong). Wouldn’t it be like a spell-cast that wouldn’t be canceled as well?
What do you think/know?

in April 2014 the Feature Patch was released – now the Feature Patch for September 2014 is announced. If I remember correctly, i’ve read a forum-post from a Dev that the whole Season 2 Patches are Content Patches. (i apologize if it isn’t true, cant find the quote)
Does this mean that we get Feature Patches always in “Big”-Patches every 6 months and Content patches through Living Story-Patches every 2 weeks?

you learned from Dragon Ball (Dragon Bash Living Story), where food have been used to boost stats and win games really easy. You guys hotfixed it and i was really thankful.
That was one year ago.
Now we have Aspect-Arena today. Traits, Runes and Sigills procc and this is kinda sad when a rockdog crits you for 2k and you only have 100 Life points.
I love these kind of minigames but pls dont hotfix it days after realease…
is it supposed to fail that often, even if the target is at ~600 range? this skill is bugging since bwe 1 for gods sake fix it
if i fake cast my heal i get a cooldown of 3 sec’s, enough for an lockdown mesmer..
lol how teh kitten should i counter this as necro lol
i feel like they want us to learn fake-casting like in wow

its just a speculation, ive read some posts here in the forum that there probably won’t be a balance/feature patch while the wvw season (wich would make sense)
im not interested in w*, i just want that kitten feature patch
my speculation may be wrong, ive read that the feature patch will arrive in spring 2014 (correct me if im wrong), at this time i thought they would bring the patch before eso will be released but since the release of w* was announced for june it makes sense to me
incase you guys didn’t know:
the “maintenance patch” is coming next week, soon the wvw season will start… during this season there will be no “feature patch” wich is from end of march till mid of may… we are probably getting the “feature patch” after the wvw season 2, so may/june..
i guess there will be a game released on june… smth wild u know, ma star

Then i felt like the meta was more fun at this time. Or better than the current one at least..

Doesn’t hit your foe always, even after buffing it twice. (I remember when the projectile velocity got a buff, still doesnt hit at range)
If this skill hits your foe, your foe sometimes jumps in the air. It’s funny i guess but it won’t help you as necromancer with dagger on MH.
Signet of Plague:
Bugged since Release.
Sometimes doesn’t work.
Power Necros are balanced, great buff, hell yeah tpvp i come.
CONDITION Nercos are beyond overpowered now, they are way to strong, way to many ways to keeps a player perma feared from 100-0.
What you guys need to understand is a class that has passive damage, like dots/pets (Damage over time) should not in any way have the control they have now, the reason is players will just end up playing like cowards and dot & run or dot and chain CC, a necro is one of those classes, classes that should have strong CC are the ones that need to stay on the target to do damage, the difference is a nercro justs needs to apply dots then CC not even having to face the target due to damage just rolling off the enemy. you guys over buffed Nercos big time, and I think you guys may know it by now.

Hey guys, my name is Sambeth from germany… just asking if the english community could help me to find a power necro build (with dagger)? Or can you guys share some Builds with me? I play gw2 pretty well, but i’m still theorycrafting about the melee necromancer… so, any idea?
Progamers don’t play that Build, so it’s unviable in tpvp? (Haven’t seen it in Streams) What are your thoughts?
