WvW is an incredible system, that isn’t found in any other game. It allows entire servers to fight together and bond together! But when your server feels like it has nothing to gain besides little buffs, and WvW ranks, then it becomes redundant.
My suggestion is this: Give far more reasons for PvE focused players to care about WvW.

The first thing in this long suggestion would be to change bloodlust. Keep the Ruins of Power, but remove the bloodlust buff. Instead, When your server holds a ruin of power, you gain points of power over time. What servers spend these points on will come later. But the idea is the more ruins you hold the faster you can get your points.

Second is the meat of the suggestion. We know they are planning on releasing a new map sometime, so here is what i suggest. The 3-server tiers would be grouped into groups of 3 tiers. So 9 servers would be potentially connected through.. Stonemist castle(3 more NA servers would need to be added but that wouldn’t be a problem, EU already has a perfect 27 servers)

Each Server who holds Stonemist castle would be able to send 50 players through a portal into a new map. The portal has a one hour cooldown. In this new map each server would meet the two servers that hold Stonemist in their group. Example: in tier 1 blackgate own SM . tier 2 jade quarry holds SM. tier 3 Maguuma owns SM. 50 players from each server would meet in this new map. WHY IS THIS BALANCED? The 50 players still count as in Eternal Battlegrounds. So whoever owns SM and send players into the new map, are now outnumbered. But it could be well worth it.

So this new map would be a desert land with lots of passages between cliffs and such. Two keeps on on either side and one massive temple to the north. This is where the benefits to PvE players come in.

Each keep in this desert map, when captured by a server unlocks a very sepcial dungeon in tyria FOR THE WHOLE SERVER for as long as you own in, and up to 2 hours after you lose it. These new dungeons would be in a mysterious zone in Tyria.
Also the two servers who own these keeps could sign a treaty for 15 minutes. This would solve the problem of a better server rolling over everyone. Strategy should always win.

Now the Temple. The temple is the final target of any server who finds themselves on this map. There are three identical paths, one for each server, full of mobs and mini bosses. After a long and spectacular ascend up the stairs fighting PvE. You reach a powerful being who sits atop the temple. The First server to engage him gets locked into arena with him to fight him. A wall rises up behind them for 10 mins as they fight him. If he isn’t dead after 10 mins, maybe another server waiting to get in could come in and wipe you and kill the already damaged boss! talk about suspense!

Once you battle this being and defeat him. You can spend your point od power you have been getting from the ruins in the borderlands! By Power boosts, defense boosts, supply upgrades, faster dolyaks, you name it. spent your points wisely.

The final decision you have to make is which boss to release. Behing this wizard is 3 giant beasts. One that lurks in a cave, one that lurks in a pond, and one that lurks in the cliffs above you. Whichever one you chose becomes a raid boss in the zone with the special dungeons. The boss will stay in that zone until reset and have a cooldown timer when he is deafeated.

That’s it! Now picture this, after fighting at the ruins of power to gain a good amount of Points of Power, you take Stonemist Castle. Then you task your best players to go into the desert! But oh kitten! Black gate is here! kittens! you take a keep, unlocking a dungeon, and then treaty with the other server that isn’t blackgate. An epic battle happens where blackgate loses most of their players. The 15 minute treaty is up and both remaining servers race to the temple. You race your rivals up the temple steps! Then you end up beating your bosses faster and get to the final boss. The wall rises and you have 10 minutes to kill him. 9 minutes go by and he is at 50 percent HP. The other server is eagerly watching you. Devon Carver throws down 50 Fiery Greatswords for your server and you kill him with 59 seconds to spare. You then spend your points of power to gain a needed advantage because you have been outnumbered in EB for an hour. The raid boss you released is revealed and his scary kitten magically changes dimensions.

I support this thread. The devs could learn a few things from games like Wildstar, and Neverwinter.
