Just curious… people staying by the door during the fight, away from the boss range in order to get the achievement… Isn’t that considered an exploit ? In my eyes you’re taking advantage of a flaw of the fight to get the achievement without even tagging the boss.

Lol, while I love the idea of a Norn being built like a freaking tank, we both know that isn’t realistic. Bones and flesh of Norn guardian versus Human Necromancer are essentially equal (especially considering that necromancers have super high health pool and guardians super low) in terms of the game mechanics, I really don’t think it makes as much sense as you’re implying.

The guy who designed the actual eternity (even the post patch one) should be worried about his job right now…
Gods of Anet… Hear our plea and hire this guy. Even as a consultant… We wouldn’t have things like Quip and Moot with this guy around.
No one really cares much about the waypoints… Only “Gnashers” assume that we Kiel suporters do… Also, most people aren’t bothered with fractals… So it’s not something that affect the entire player base either… If you want to talk about lore it’s really hard to decide which fractal would add more… Even because fractals are only slices of time with barely or no explanation at all, leaving much to our own interpretation…
I’m voting for Kiel because I feel it’s the right thing to do lore related… Gnashblade kitten d my pockets dry with his abusives taxes on the TH and I don’t really like the idea of having an oportunist without morals leading anything other than his sorry tail out of my way…
Also, there’s no thing as TEAM Gnashblade… There’s only him and your votes. His true self will come to light winning or losing this election…
I think they are missing one asura U_U . Destiny edge had the most genious asura of ever (Snaff). We need another genious, not simpkitten okahs.
As of now, we have:
- A Norn Guardian
- A Char Ranger
- A Sylvari Thief
Maybe an asuran warrior ? Not talking about a genius Snaff like kind but a mean little kitten that would make Rytlock hide his tail….

As for our character not being the center of the attention I think this is mostly due to how differently each one of us see the world of GW2… No to mention the sheer amount of races/classes/background combinations available… If we were to lead the story to our hearts content this would create too many versions of the story itself… Let’s take the elections that we have in play now…
Some are voting for Kiel due to her being portrayed as a good character, while others stick to Evon because they think having a bad guy in the council would make things more interesting… (Myself I don’t like the char because the abusive taxes of the TH and those accursed range boxes… )
But if you think about it, having this election and letting the majority of the players decide the future of Tyria is a huge step forward and I don’t recall seeing it implemented that way in any other MMO.
I don’t really have this diva complex that most players complaining for not being the main protagonist have… Mostly because this is not entirely true… Trahearne makes it clear on several occasions that it was only because of “you the player” that everything was possible… So did Kiel in Southsun Cove… And Rox and Braham in Flame & Frost…
Yet… The developers are listening to our prayers implementing feature after feature in order to make our Tyrian life more fun , so they might figure a way to satisfy those who need to be in the spotlight as well.

Seriously tough… When you say you don’t want a free lunch you mean that you don’t want a shortcut/portal to avoid all the jumping ? So what exactly would make things fair to you ?
Honestly I don’t like them, mostly because I suck at jumping… That’s the true but it haven’t kept me for doing every single one in the game. I remember how much I cursed A-net for the obsidian sanctum JP… But after I finally made it do the end it was very rewarding and it really felt like I accomplished something.
Of course I gave the devs a few nicknames after they put the two last objectives in this particular JP in the past LW… But in the overall I think that JPs are fun, especially when you are with a friend… Nothing more fun to me than seeing my buddies fall from the very end and having to start over…
And lastly… Have you tried to get a mesmer to help you ? Even the metrica province JP can be mesmerized =)

Imo what made Destiny Edge so epic is they overcoming their differences for a greater good. Rytlock and Logan are a prime example of this… We could put Kiel and Canach in the same shoes I think.
I can’t stress enough how much this could be explored… Both teams could be defending something that they believe is right but drives conflict in the end.
I remember how Rytlock turned Rox down when she requested a chance to join his warband (***hole) and to see Eir and Braham settle their differences would be epic as well… No to mention… Who the hell is his father ? (Star wars comes to mind here – Darth Svanir?). Garm and baby devourer will show who is the strongest pet ?
Only time will tell…
So… Some of you probably noticed a “pattern” in the past few living world content… Call me paranoid but bear with me for a while.
I believe that Rox, Braham, Canach, Kiel (this may change if she loses or wins) and why not Kasmer will eventually form another “Heroic Legendary Group” to “Replace” Destiny Edge…
Personally I think this would be awesome not only to see how all those different characters ties together but also to see the events making the old and new teams clash.
The reasons A-Net would do this are easy to point out.

Let’s be honest here… People are expecting something marvelous about Abadon, but aren’t taking in consideration what we have as fractals at the moment. Expecting it to be the “Best thing that could ever happen” or “Enrich the lore” as much as an Actual dungeon it’s insane… Fractals are short and meant to be done over and over again… Don’t expect Abadon or the reactor to be “Revolutionary”. Instead expect it to be something that we will have to do over and over again for the rest of our gw2 lives…
Vote for the candidate that you think can improve the lore, vote for the one that you actually have something in common… If you want to vote for Kiel, vote for Kiel… If you want to vote for the Evon… Yeah go for it. (Although I have few things against the kitty I’ll try to stay neutral)
Myself, I would like to think what the losing candidate will do…
Will Kiel lose her faith in people and become evil/chaotic? Will Evon plan for revenge on us ?
This excites me even more than Abadon or Reactor…
First, if it was suggested already. Please ignore me.
Now, some of players set personal objectives within the game. For me it was crafting my twilight (only missing the gift of battle). Which leaves me with an unused Gift of exploration dusting in the bank. So my suggestion is quite simple. Turn the gift of exploration a consumable item that when used open the whole map for another character in that account.
Obviously no chests or rewards would be granted to the player who decided to use this.
After leveling several toons to max level I realized how tiresome was to open a map with an alt that I’m not planning to have max completion anyway.
Anyway… Just some bath thinking of mine.
Thanks Munkiman! I was surprised to see Norns and Chars not being favorites. Not to mention Elementalist being the most played class… This helps alot. If ANET really decided to ignore my prayers this will certanly do.

First of all, I’m sorry if there are similar posts like this one.
While chatting with some guildies we came across a stalemate. I decided to “register” here and try getting the info from the comunity or maybe from our beloved Devs.
What is the most played class in the game as of now? I’m not sure if we should consider the sheer number of characters of that especific class or the amount of hours that class has in particular. But again any of the above should be more than enough to settle our little Guild Bet
Anyway… If there are similar posts (with oficial and valid information) about this. Can someone link me up?
