Most of my pet names are ‘Tea’, except for my snow owl which is called ‘Snow White’.

I don’t know if you are looking at druid as a ‘part’ of the ranger profession or just druid itself – but seeing as you mentioned ‘guardian’, ‘elementalists’ and ‘mesmers’ as the entire class and not ‘dragon knight’, etc. itself, I am going to assume it’s the entire profession, so with that, I would like to say that rangers do have an ability that makes them immune to damage; signet of stone.

Ok, so while I was in-game, a thought occurred to me and I figured it would be a nice addition to the game; mobs that allows you to gather materials off of them. For example, after I killed a bear, I am then able to harvest fur or other materials off of the dead mob. Or say an earth elemental would allow the player to gather/mine ores off the body once it has been slain.

I think this would add a lot more immersion to the mobs itself not to the lore.

(This suggestion is overlooking the potential plummet in price of the materials when written)

What does everyone think of this? Yes or no?

I was just curious as to why I can’t discover ‘Major Rune of The Ice’ as both the guide and wiki says that this is the ingredients for it – am I missing anything?

Hm, I would like to request this thread be locked as I didn’t intend it to be turned into another potential heated discussion on We Heal As One is fair or not, it was merely meant to bring into focus and question on whether it was intended that We Heal As One be used like this – causing rangers to be able to potentially and essentially end up with permanent boons if spec-ed and the right skills are popped.

For now, I appreciate all your responses, and would like to request that potential posters limit themselves as to what they bring into the post (sorry..but I wasn’t really trying to start another ‘right or wrong’ thread).

Interesting..still, I really do hope that this is how the skill was intended to be used and that I am not exploiting anything by any chance, regardless of what other players say – as in my opinion, I feel that 2 minutes of speed boost is a bit OP in itself already – and this isn’t taking into account other buffs, and is extremely tempting to just sit there and reapply the boost until I end up with essentially, double digit timers.

Just for the sake of learning (as I am still fairly new to the game), what professions/skills/traits increase the duration of a specific boon?

Mhm, I understand that it refreshes, but I am focusing more on the timer itself, as it essentially extends and extends/adds to it, literally players can sit there and rebuff to the point where they could end up with 20 minutes of worth of buffs (have yet to try it for that duration so I don’t know if there’s a limit as to how long you can extend a timer or not).

I could see the issue with the graphical glitches then, my bad – I had yet to consider it as a factor.

There has been a lot of posts out there about the changes with We Heal As One, however, I don’t know if this has been posted or noticed yet, but, rangers essentially has an unlimited speed boost, no, I am not talking about the synergy between We Heal As One, Resounding Timbre, Call of the Wind and Strength of the pack! , I am talking about We Heal As One alone.
I don’t know if it was intentional that this skill be used like this, but the timer on We Heal As One stacks, meaning if you keep reapplying We Heal As One and use Strength of the pack! during your first time using the skill, you can keep reapplying We Heal As One and the timer will stack – I have been able to reach +2 minutes of speed boost, within a few minutes of using the skill as the timer keeps increasing – just saying.

(Don’t hate me for showing this potential exploit – if it could be seen that way)

First of all, I don’t really know where this belongs, so please move this to the correct section if this isn’t where it was meant to be posted.

Uhm, in regards to the Wintersday Earmuffs, I like the item, however, the thing that bothers me the most is that there is no visible head-band, so I was just wondering if the designers/creators of the item could add in a head-band to the design, as atm, it looks like two floating pieces of pad on my character’s ears..

If the head-band is bugging out for me and the community can see it, then please ignore my request.

I main as ranger, and have been sticking to Juvenile Jungle Stalker (sometimes Juvenile Snow Owl) and Juvenile Jaguar as my main two pets. The Jungle Stalker was at lower levels and the Jaguar at higher levels (and am what I am currently using).

I can safely say that for PvE, I rarely take aggro away from my pets, and at times, I use it as a sort of 2nd kill, meaning my pets are able to kill mobs by itself, this also goes for protecting me when other mobs attack me as I am afk or busy messaging ppl (they will pull aggro onto themselves after 1-2 hits).

In terms of pet DPS, Jaguar is one of the highest DPS pet you can get. By switching out pets constantly (you can switch between two), I am able to solo champions (mobs which are meant for groups) – proves how ‘tanky’ the pets are. If, for some reason, later on, you find that the health pool of these two pets aren’t enough for you, then Bears have the most health pools – however, I suggest using Bears as a second pet in this case.

I would also have to agree with OP – I tend to play a healer class in most mmorpgs, and am extremely glad that healers/druids are/will be implemented into the game.

I have an outfit that I love and goes well with the chaos longbow/chaos greatsword (playing ranger), but can’t afford it (as I am new), so I am going to try and farm enough ectos to craft a vision of the mist instead, so if anyone has any spare ectos, I would love it!!
(Just in case; I currently have 22250/250 ectos! – yes, I am proud of that amount as I have yet to collect a full stack)

Update: OMG! It happened so quick! Ok, I got my 250 ectos from an extremely kind player!! eek! ok ok, next up coins & blades! Wish me luck! I will be sure to post a picture of my vision of the mist once I craft it!! eek!! (might take a while as I am only getting the coins from daily logins) so excited!! Thank you-thank you-thank you

Update 2: Ok, so crazy thing just happened, I logged on and saw I had another mail, so I opened it and it was 30 mystic coins! Yes, someone had donated coins even when I didn’t ask for it – this community is amazingly generous. These two random players have made my time in GW2 so much more amazing! Heh, I don’t know how to say thank you to the both of you without naming you two..I feel like I am unable to fully express my appreciation.. but fear not, I am literally sooooo happy right now. 70 more to go! Yay! (and then I remembered I still have the blades…oh well, I am happy) Thank you again!

Update 3: You guys are going to make me cry..meany :P I just received another donation of 30 blades!! Like seriously, why are you all so generous?!! It’s crazy..uhm, thank you for the donation [you know who you are] – it’s feels like it’s my birthday today (everyone is 1 month early! :P) but yes, thank you very much for the blades!!
