Thanks for the feedback folks, your absolutely correct I don’t know how the wardrobe function works, like I say I am totally new. My thoughts are really directed at the company, surly they want players to purchase in game? There is no subscription and I’m sure they want to generate as much revenue as possible, that being the case it this makes no sense to me. To put it in customer service speak, most companies try to “surprise and delight” not “not disappoint and underwhelm”. My initial reaction on realising that only my very first character i ever created got the goodies was “well that’s a bit kitten ”. I’m delighted its not as bad as it was, but that’s along way from “that’s really good value”…I am keeping my fingers crossed that as I progress my experience will be more positive

yeah….but….as a brand new player Tome of Influence & chalice of glory quite frankly don’t mean a lot to me, the legacy Armour I can see no real reason why each new character cant have a set (after a few hours of play I had already upgraded most of it anyway). My central point here, is that as an initial experience it was disappointing, this cannot be the intent the company is trying to create, and has left me pondering whether purchasing additional in game items is going to leave me with the same experience. I like the game, I don’t want it to be pay to win, but I also don’t want it to be pay to be mildly disappointing either.

This is more of a feedback statement than a bug. I recently purchased the digital deluxe version of the game. I was surprised and disappointed that the “additional items” only manifested themselves on my 1st character. I imagine you want to encourage players to purchase items in the game and this has had the net effect of discouraging me from doing this. I am quite happy to spend money on my hobby and have spent plenty of money in “in game” purchases in other MMORG’s this has left me wondering if I should bother whilst playing GW2. I do like the game but how much of an effort would it have been to allow players use of the additional items for all their newly created characters? It cannot cost the company anything and the items themselves are only of use for the 1st hour or so of play, so where would be the harm? I think the idea of of limiting the items to your 1st character (when I am 1st experiencing the game) is at best short-sighted and at worst totally underwhelming.
