Guild Wars 2

It just blows my mind away that lots of people on average, from what I can tell dropped about $30 in gems for this event. Most of them got ….. nothing. WTF! How on earth could anet think anyone would be OK with that? Who is OK with just tossing away $30? Even at a casino there are warnings and chances posted. Good god.

I get that some of the posters here that think its OK might be kids or teenagers with no understanding of how this is just silly but Anet? Really?

I’m so glad I didn’t buy any gems for this and I know going forward to never drop another penny.

I have no intention of trying to get any Halloween items. Reason being, almost every mmo i have stopped playing in the past was over horrible drop rates. So I think they just really implemented this wrong. Its like the got confused with typical high desirable items drop rates and people spending money. Here is what they should have done:

Gave a gem option that has a very low chance to get any items and make sure that is known up front, a cash option in which people can just outright buy them for cash, or a pure farming option maybe even a quest.

I think its pretty clear they dropped the ball on this one big time. Ha I’m at work, getting IM’s from angry guildmates over this.

So far lowing my sound quality to medium has resolved the audio crashing problem.

Ok I’ll try to lower my quality to medium to see if that helps. The sound problem just happened to me again.

Hmm it doesn’t sound like you and I are having the same problem.

I don’t have any problems with lots of people around me running around, casting, or anything like that. Also, as my title states, I only have this problem in WvW. Keep in mind, I can be running to a fight by myself and my audio will drop, then maybe later on the game will freeze at some random point with stuff going on in game as no bearing.

Again, we are not having the same problem.

I have a odd problem that only occurs randomly when I am in WvW.

Sometimes, I’ll be running around in WvW and then, my sound becomes a steady hum. Not sure why but it just keeps humming. So I usually just drop my headphones and keep playing. Since the only way to stop it is to log out and of course I’d have to queue back up to WvW. Then sometimes, the sound will go out and start humming and anywhere from ten minutes to an hour later my game will completely freeze. Ha. I’ll have to stop it in the task manager and run it again.

Its crazy!

So far I’ve re-installed the game with no chance, although it still remains random. I also updated my video driver and my audio driver appears to be update. I am playing on max settings on my laptop like I have with any other game I’ve played on it. I’ve played Aion, Battlefield3, Medal of Honor 3, Civ5, and yea I can go on but all of them on max settings with no remote issues. Again, this only occurs when I’m in WvW. I don’t get any form of lag, fps problems, or anything out of the ordinary. My entire leveling from 1 to 80 on the same settings had no issues or anything similar to this.

So any ideas? Ha I’m lost.
