Outlook suggests GW2 support e-mail is fraud

Your point appears to be that if people spoof it then Outlook will mark all such e-mails as potentially fraudulent because it doesn’t know any better. Is that correct?
The reason I ask is that I get several e-mails “from Blizzard” every day. Yet not a single legitimate Blizzard e-mail has ever had this warning. If what you say is true, I’m not sure how to account for the discrepancy. I’ve never whitelisted Blizzard, so it isn’t that.

By getting this warning removed
With respect, I believe you are confused.
I am not asking for Outlook to stop checking whether e-mails are potentially fraudulent – and if I was, I’d contact Microsoft; the company which owns Outlook.
This thread is to bring the false positive to ArenaNet’s attention so that they can contact Microsoft and take the appropriate steps to prevent this happening in future.
I agree that the service is a good one. That’s why I want it to be improved by having this false positive corrected. If you don’t know what a false positive is, google it.

As I said in my original post, one of the GMs changed my password to enable me to log in. So it is most definitely a legitimate e-mail from ArenaNet’s Support team.
My point is that this is something they should look into and have corrected. Obviously their e-mails being marked as potentially fraudulent by such a major e-mail service provider is a problem. It doesn’t just look unprofessional – we’re talking about the e-mail address used to help people whose accounts have been compromised. Naturally they’ll be concerned and wondering if they entered their account information in a phishing site.

Hi,
I’m just posting this in the hope that a mod will notice it and pass it on.
Earlier I was unable to log in so I contacted support. GM Adonis and GM AmberGreen were both very polite and helpful, and in less than half an hour I was back in Tyria.
However, one thing I noticed was that Outlook said that support@guildwars2.com had failed their fraud detection checks. I know that I was really dealing with ArenaNet as one of the GMs had to reset my password for me – and obviously anyone else posing as ArenaNet would have been unable to do so.
Thanks.

It’s only English when you’re looking.
The text becomes English when you look at it? That’s interesting!
When I look at it, my target turns into a bloody pulp on the ground.

Can anyone please tell me which stats to go for? I’m trying to get as much Power as possible since I only have 10 Spite and the stat is so vital for the set-up. I’m thinking Toughness because I don’t want to be a glass cannon, but I’m not sure what else to get.

If you want to support the game, then that’s awesome. But they shouldn’t make that change – they’d get a lot of bad publicity for it, and it isn’t worth it. If you want to pay every month, then you can already do so.

It would help a lot if, should the BSoD reoccur, you record what the error says.

Personally I’d assume that either your anti-virus software or Windows is interfering.
Can I please ask what security software you have installed?
Further to that, have you read the following two stickies?

The url is https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/guilds
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/ returns a “The page you were looking for doesn’t exist.” I know it’s a really minor thing, but it looks unintended so just thought I’d bring your attention to it.
Thanks for adding it, though, I’ve already poked my Guild Leader about posting there!

And exactly how is this different to end game raiding in other MMO’s?
Perhaps I read it incorrectly, however I thought Belcross was posting due to a concern that there is no particularly difficult content designed to test players at the level cap. I don’t really get the relevance of your response; it comes across as a stawman argument.

I agree with this.
I’ve just never been a fan of the way MMORPGs do PvP. WvWvW is pretty fun, but if anything I wish it didn’t give XP. I kind of worry about hitting level 80, because I don’t want to kill Zhaitan, get 100% map completion and be left wondering what to do.
I realize – and appreciate – that ArenaNet is against artificial reasons to keep players interested, but currently it feels like you can complete the game inside of a month, and then there’s nothing other than repeating stuff which you’ve already done.

1) Agreed, although I can kind of see it being resource intensive on their end.
2) I don’t foresee things going beyond the current “buy slots for gems” scenario.
3) No, Guild Wars 1 didn’t have town clothes at all.
4) The Maintenance Post (or ‘Trading Post’, as it’s also known…) should be able to either filter gear with heavy armor / medium armor / light armor options, or at least be given a Only Usable By My Character box to tick so that Necromancers don’t get shown heavy armor, etc.

I’ve personally found that there is a huge amount of information over at Guild Wars 2 Guru, if you’re looking for what-to-do threads. They cover all aspects from advice on picking skills, to crafting and also cover stuff like lore, if you happen to be interested in that kind of thing.
The wiki was extremely helpful back in the days of the original game, however obviously the editors have had very little time to add articles to the Guild Wars 2 Wiki thus far.
If you’re interested in resources for a particular profession (aka class), then needless to say it would help if you’d respond with more information. If not, I hope this helped.

The log-in server exploded. They’re working on fixing it.
Edit: Try again. I could log in right after posting this.

If you start crafting at a low level, then there’s a good chance you’ll be creating stuff that your character will be able to use. It’s always nice to create an upgrade with Tailoring, for example.
If you start crafting at a high level, your character will have more money readily available, and you’ll be able to breeze through it – collecting a nice bit of XP in the process.
So really there’s no bad time to start crafting.
