Hi all,

I’m looking to join a Singaporean based guild as I’m a Singaporean myself. I’ve been in the EU region and its hard to do guild missions/dungeons/pve because of the time zone differences.

From what I’ve heard, there is a gathering of fellow Sg players in the Crystal Desert server but I’m not sure. It’ll help alot if any fellow Sg players can enlighten me on this before I make a decision on transfering servers, thanks!

I have this weird problem, I purchased gems using my credit card, and wanted to purchase some more again 5 seconds later after a successful purchase, then it shows purchase approval failed. I wonder whats wrong with this if anyone have experienced it before, thanks

Thanks all for the great advice! Yes I noticed P/S wont be the main source of damage. I’ll try out these builds and find which one suits me most, will be open to more build recommendation

I’m starting my new engi and has grown quite fond of the Pistol/Shield setup. However, I have no idea whats a good PvE build for this wep set.

I would like to see and hear from experienced engi whether there is a good P/S build for PvE (DEs, mob killing, world bosses, etc).

Kindly include details like traits, wep and sigils, armour and runes, trinkets, skills, etc.

Thank you all fellow warriors for your recommendations and feedback, I respect all views and opinions of others (the warrior community is just so big!). I guess for now I’ll experiment with the various zerk builds I’ve been offered here (GS/axe+shield, etc) and find the one I like best to improve my CoF experience.

I have a question for the zerk armour upgrade slots thou, is ruby orbs good?

I’m like all others a veteran at clearing Cof P1, and I take pride in playing my warrior my own way. Today’s run brought about a new thought to me. It’s the first time I’ve been recommended (putting it in a nice way) to be a zerk warrior using GS (you know the typical warriors you see on the street)

I’ll describe my gear and build – Full exotic Knight’s with Soldier runes, Full soldier’s accessories, Dual axe/rifle, My base dmg is 3k and 2.8k def.

I do agree that GS warriors are great and all, but does everyone have to be a clone? I enjoy my dual-axe build and its definitely not something to look down on. Furthermore, my DPS/damage output will not be behind the GS build either. I’m fully capable of holding my own and my traited shouts are loved by all (heals, remove conditions).

So with this all, I have to ask, is the GS warrior that much better? Just my opinion, I have to emphasise I have nothing against fellow GS warriors

I would like to notify all that I just did AC path 1 and its bugged. After we killed the boss it just disappeared and we could not move on. We had to quit, this is such a lame bug. Noticed there are other such bugs around with other dungeons as well, I hope Anet can fix them ASAP.

I only do pve, dungeons and DEs. Already got a lvl 80 GS Guardian so want to try something new. I’m currently using axe/mace combo, its pretty good

Thanks for the great responses guys I see that offhand mace and warhorn are favoured. Can you tell me the respective builds for main hand axe and the offhands? (traits, armour, trinkets, etc) This will help to gime a better idea of whats best for me

I’m new to the warrior class and actually wanted to be dual-axe warrior but I’ve heard that skill 4 of offhand axe is too underpowered to be useable. So I’m currently looking to use offhand sword or horn as an alternative.

I hope that you experienced warriors out there could give me some good suggestions on offhand choice and traits, build, etc.

Its a pity that axe offhand is underpowered, I wanted to be dual-axe warrior but it doesnt seem feasible for now. I’m currently looking for a good offhand alternative

I heard that offhand axe skill 5 whirling axe is bugged, anyone can confirm this?

Hey Lurch thanks for ur recommnedation on the traits build, I seem to like it after looking. What is the armour set and trinkets you’re using thou? I think Knights’ gears w/ soldier runes and emerald trinkets will be good?

I’m currently playing a warrior and found the dual-axe weps pretty cool and would like to try using it. My question is this wep set feasible (good to use)? I already have a Guardian using gs so want to play something different.

If dual-axes is no good I would like recommendations or other good wep combos to use

I’m aware that there are countless builds out there and so would like to ask current dual-axe warriors for good build (armour sets to use, trinkets, traits, etc).

I don’t do pvp/wvw, something to note.

I hope some of you guys will try it out right now, and tell me if its like what I’ve said. I’m really confused right now, I’ve done so many cof path 1 runs easily. This is ridiculous :/

Is this done like an hr or so ago? I experienced the same insane buff to cof path 1. The final boss is now unkillable.

Yes I asked my friend and he did cof path1 two hrs ago, while I did half an hr ago. Yesterday runs are fine for me as well. I’m a veteran for cof explore and there is something wrong with the boss which I knew straight away(its normally downed in what 5 mins?).

This happened within this half an hr or so. Dps wise, I’m a GS guardian on dps build and has 3.2k atk, 15k hp, 2.3k armour (definitely no problem here). My party seems normal so they cant be too bad on dps.

There is definitely something wrong with the final searing effigy boss. Its buffed to heal too much beyond killable like I’ve mentioned.

Hey all, I just did cof path 1 two mins ago and the final boss is unkillable, forcing me and my team to quit. The boss is buffed to the point where it heals too much beyond the dmg dealt to it. My team even started to kill off the crystals but they just spawn too much and too fast.

Most of us have dps build so its definitely not the problem on our dps. What trickery is this anet??

I have a question about wep slots here. I have a scepter and focus setup. The Focus has the superior sigil of blood and scepter superior sigil of earth. My qns is does the effect of the focus’s sigil effect trigger when i crit with the scepter dmg or do I have to cirt with the focus(which is really few) for the effect to take place?

2) You can buy good ones (masterwork, rare) straight off the trading post at affordable prices. You can access it anywhere thru the lion icon on top left. Just head to any black lion merchant npc to collect your stuffs

Of course I’m suggesting good-looking capes here I believe we already have that back/cape slot available (you can hide/unhide), its just that there aren’t actually any good ones out there.

Hey all fellow players,

I don’t know if this has been suggested already anot, but I’ll say it anyway. Where are our awesome capes? Are there actually any available? The only person/npc I saw with a cape is Warmaster Forgal, and thats about it. All of us will look so much better with a cape. When fighting, moving around, etc, having a cape on will definitely be much better looking. Lets all make Guild Wars 2 a cooler place!

Hey all fellow guardians! This is an interesting thread so I’ve decided to post. I just hit lvl 80 with my guardian 2 days back. What I’ve noticed all around is that 9 out of 10 guardians I met use Greatsword. It’s like the standard thing to use I guess? I tried the GS personally and do agree that its a good dps wep.

However, throughout my levels I’ve used the less common wep choice, mace and torch. It really goes down to what you prefer, in other words your personal play style. Don’t follow others’ choices just because its popular or whatnot. The mace and torch combo is an excellent balance between offense and defense, also providing great survivability. I have no problem not moving/dodging during fights except the toughest of all.

Personally I don’t find the 4th and 5th skill of GS to be of much use, whereas I will use all the skills available with the mace/torch set.I must state that I only do PvM and haven tried PvP and WvW thou, maybe the GS is good there? Might give them a try soon.

Oh yes for trait build wise I run on 30 radiance, 20 valor and honor. This is a high-crit tank-ish build that works really well. I’m on 67% crit chance (with right-hand strength) and 81% bonus crit dmg with my offensive gear. Adding bloodlust stacks and might buffs (trait skill), my dmg wont lack behind the GS.

Secondary wep is staff for DEs and big mobs (it owns). This build also allows me to use another great wep set which is the sword/torch. Basically I’m good with all 1h guardian wep combos with this build.

I hope this will help fellow Guardians make an informed choice regarding their builds. Just my 2 cents from a fellow Guardian
