I actually use – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pirate_Crook
from an NPC at the end of a LA jumping puzzle
Legendary’s are a waste on a necro atm imo
Most of them are ugly as hell even for other classes.
Most of the ones mentioned seem more “necro” appropriate.
I’m unable to join any parties, get the following error when I try join
I can’t even login to client now
Same problem but I’m also having problems joining groups too
After sending my invite, I get a short delay and then a connection error.
Not looking for a focus of PvE or WvW only. I’ll pretty much take part in anything
I enjoy exploring, running dungeons and WvW roaming.
Also a bit of SPvP on occassion.
Just looking to join a consitent bunch of people who are online at similar times to me (difficult on a US server hehe :P)
reduced cool downs on some of the skills, some are just really not worth using for 45-60 second re-uses
-slick shoes for example
I pretty much fing myself using elixir gun, bombs and toolkit – utility from all of those alone is brilliant and cycling between them I rarely even have to think about CDs
Rifle to become more appealing

Golem has it’s uses when it doesn’t bug out
Stability and the cripple can come in handy
In the first fight he didn’t fight in his spectral wall, instead just tossed it behind him for no effect at all. Then while the necro was blind spamming him, he casted all of his skills, missing all of them. I skimmed through the rest of the video, figuring most of the fights were similar.
Hey Tricare, you wouldn’t happened to have your combat tips typed up somewhere would you? I’ve been looking for something that could help me understand some of the common combat tactics for the necro – for example I didn’t realize that you should fight “on” the wall. Now that you’ve mentioned it I realize its a good idea.
Projectiles through wall for confusion and use staff #4 for Chaos Armor
Last few attempts I’ve had at this path have all failed
With the way dungeon tokens have changed I find less people repeating dungeons, thus it’s hard find a group sometimes if noone wants to re-run. When I do find a group it’s a pug and pug’s are notorious for being a bit of a flop.
I’m all for a bit of a challenge but so far no pug I’ve joined can down this boss and I end up wasting my short amount of playtime to get there for people to quit.
Are these likely to return?
I wasn’t playing during their presence but I would like to get my hands on them…
Fail, they didn’t stack might
Trait for the fear on stun and get yourself some spectral stun breakers for generating lifeforce while he beats away
I would say Engineer
They have perma swiftness to get themselves around which is useful given the mobility of a thief and alot of utility.
Group burst heals/regen and they have alot of defense to keep themselves alive while the thief can burst DPS people down while dropping in/out of stealth
I’m here for a free bump
Conditions + Fear = win
Exactly what I was gonna post^
I use the glass build in certain dungeons and the DPS is nasty
I also use the condition build in places I know there will be alot of adds etc, also a solid choice.
Hello, I was here
If the build isn’t bad then your personal opinion on liking it is irrelevant
If there are flaws in it then highlight them, I read comments for an idea about a build – not whether an individual prefers a different playstyle.
Damage doesn’t need to be addressed
Simply be aware of your surroundings
Pay attention to the map and where likely zerg traffic routes/action will be and avoid it.
I barely ever get ran over in WvW by a zerg while solo roaming because you can see them & turn. Most of the time when following a pin they won’t chase a solo due to wasting time
Ye it certainly looks that way
Ran with guild last night and destroyed it in no time
I guess I’ve just had some shocking pug experiences lately :P
Can’t have everything
You want em.. gotta go earn your cash some how
I agree though, some easy system of obtaining them via WvW would be good
Just encourages the player to have one experience and one build: their main character.
Ye and even that won’t necesserily be a “good” or “fun” build – it’ll be purely AoE DPS in order for tagging zergs for the XP leech
If they will be crafted then will they not be sold on TP ?
Just wish MM worked as a viable build lol
On the other hand, one who plays multiple cahracters in WvW (I am leveling currently my 4th character for WvW) has a wider understanding of them and knows how to face other professions, for he knows it’s weaknesses and streanghts. I am mostly playing as a roamer WvW and leveling WvW ranks on my different alts is a pain, so I have given up on WvW ranks all together. .
This is pretty much how I feel about it
To a degree
There should be some form of reward for staying true to 1 character however by playing and learning others you lose out on that higher rank…
Tough one to keep everyone happy
I’ve had some really bad luck with pugs lately running this but does anyone else feel that more crystals are dropping/remaining than before?
Last few runs I’ve done I’ve seen 10/11 stacks of regen up throughout most of the fight.
I’m well aware of “destroy them” or “poison” or “do more DPS”
It’s just a general observation/question as to whether others think he’s been boosted slightly?
Not a prob for guild runs cause we’re not stupid but pugs… kitten it’s been rough for me lately
Maybe I’ve just been unlucky =/
Been waiting on this since release
One thing I’ve found is that when trying to report a player there isn’t actually an option for hacking/cheating? Closest I find is botting?
I’ve found numerous people speed hacking yet can’t report them correctly.
The joy however is that with 1 immobilize and some very nasty DPS I can hopefully punish the cheater before they get away :P
By definition then, you expect solo players to be able to cap towers and keeps?
The only reward a zerg can gain over a solo player is the keep/tower takes. This should be the case.
Not really, you were the one that said that neither one of the playstyles should be favored over the other in terms of rewards, I can even quote you on it:
Some people enjoy solo and some enjoy 100+ zergs. Neither one of those playstyles should be favoured in the way they are rewarded.
So I simply pointed out that you were plain wrong, as a player being a part of a zerg will always get more rewards than someone solo roaming.
Kind of taking what I said out of context there.
What I was getting at is that towers/keeps aren’t supposed to be taken alone.
That’s why the reward is great for them. So if a player, solo or zerger, wants that reward then they have to go and contribute to that “zerging” scenario.
Solo roaming playstyle generally dictates that they are doing it for the challenge. I don’t know anyone roaming solo who’s doing it for the XP/Coin returns… If they just want the XP/Coin then surely it doesn’t matter how they achieve it and joining a zerg to take a tower would be no problem?
What you’re swaying towards is the issue that lies with reducing rewards for zerging and increasing those for solo.
It might seem nice in theory but that’s what leads to players becoming elitest, unco-operative, selfish and greedy.
You want greater rewards for doing something by yourself that others like to do together. Over time that sort of mentality destroys a playerbase.
mesmer/engineer – stack confusion on that dude and lol as he kills himself

Some people enjoy solo and some enjoy 100+ zergs. Neither one of those playstyles should be favoured in the way they are rewarded. Why penalise people for having fun?
To bad that actually running in a 100+ man zerg is far more effective in terms of everything really, rewards included. As a solo roamer your not able to cap those big objects nor kill multiple people that easily, compared to those who favors zerging, leaving a solo roamer with less rewards at any given day.
It really baffles me how some people can be this narrow-minded that they don’t grasp that the current reward system is idiotic, to say the least.
By definition then, you expect solo players to be able to cap towers and keeps?
The only reward a zerg can gain over a solo player is the keep/tower takes. This should be the case.
Towers and keeps are meant to be taken as a team effort – thus players who are solo can take part in the capture and receive a reward the same as those zerging around the map
hi im new and really need help with my necromancer. What I need is good armor but at a cheap price please help.
If you have enough Karma you can checkout the Temple merchants around Orr
42k ish? per piece I think
- Will not help
I played DAOC for many years and they have an RP reward system which rewards you more for being solo/small man etc than if you run 100+
This just encourages the elitest attitude and encourages people not to work together.
Some people enjoy solo and some enjoy 100+ zergs. Neither one of those playstyles should be favoured in the way they are rewarded.
Why penalise people for having fun?
