Thanks, i will give them a try, shame about the driver detective thing, it seemed like a very useful piece of software.

i am running Windows 7 64 bit. The game doesn’t have an error message it simply freezes and becomes unreponsive, i have to close it with ctrl+alt+dlt.

All my drivers are up to date so far as ‘Driver Detective’ can tell.

Hello everyone, i’ve been playing the game since prerelease on my laptop and after moving house have tried to install it on my desktop as well. The game install runs fine, i’ve done all the downloads etc. but when i’m in game, after anywhere from 5 – 60 mins, the game will suddenly cut out. There’ll be a loud noise on my headphones and any internet browsers will also fail. I’ll then have to restart the computer to regain functionality.

So far to try and fix this i have:
1) Re-installed the game
2) Checked and updated all of my graphics drivers
3) Tested both sticks of RAM to see if it is a fault there
4) Checked the CPU core temperature
5) Re-installed my operating system
6) Ran the GW2 repair exe
7) Installed on a new hard drive (something i was going to do anyway, but at least it also proves it is not an error on the hard disk)

Most of these were suggested by my computer’s manufacturer but to no avail, and i’m completely out of ideas.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated, thank-you in advance.
