notebook specs are:
Core i3-370m 2,4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 1333MHz
GT540M 1GB

a made a few system tweaks and power managment settings to make the game run smoother, and I got a few tips from a friend … until the update.

I just would like to see some … Anet staff answer or post that “Calm down fellow players, we are aware of the problem, and we are hard working on it” or something like this …

So my laptop is:
Core i3-370m 2,40 GHz – above minimum reqs.
GT540M 1GB – above minimum reqs.
4GB DDR3 1333 MHz – above minimum reqs.
a decent internet connection – above …
and everything else is above too

No matter what settings the game runs like crap, choppy framerates, low GPU and CPU usage.

I don’t want a 100+ FPS i just want a decent for example 40 FPS but a smooth gameplay on medium settings.

Still waiting for a decent patch for my money …. The game is okay, but the performance disappoints me. I know my notebook can run this better, much better.

Don’t worry. People with much better PCs have low FPS too, and they shouldn’t.
I have a notebook with hardware that is way better than the minimum needed hardware. Game runs like s**t.

Probably there will be a fix … I hope.

No it’s not normal. My game uses only 50% of CPU and 50% of GPU no matter what – new beta driver makes no difference.
I wrote a support ticket, they answered after a week to send them a dxdiag and gameadvisor report, no reply.

My notebook is:
Core i3-370m 2,4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 1333MHz A-data
GeForce GT540M 1GB
oc’d@ 750/1500/1800

My problem is that Guild Wars 2 has a 50-50% CPU and GPU usage all the time rarely to see it at 60% and the cpu drops frequently.

My FPS in cities ~20 outdoor areas with many NPCs ~20, with fewer npc and player ~35
and drops. Setting are on Medium, but i have almost the same fps on “best performance” and “best appearence” as well. Interesting.

Driver version is the recomended: 304.79 beta

Other games: Battlefield 3 multiplayer Medium settings ~30-60 FPS which has a decent system reqs. (90-90% CPU/GPU usage)

I hope someone can give me a good tip, or tweak. But don’t ask me buy a PC, which I don’t have money for
