I, for one, welcome a mix up. The current meta has been stuck for a while. I would have preferred if they had just boosted the plethora of crappy skills/talents but I’ll also accept the randomization.
I really hope there’s a valid glass cannon elementalist build hidden in there because everything except D/D has been terrible for forever.
I agree with most of these issues but I actually think Call of the Wild is a pretty kitten good skill. Fury, might and swiftness right? On a warrior that’s their elite…
It really bummed me out when I made my first alt and had to start at scratch again for the dyes. It’s not so bad if you play a lot of PvE since the drop rates are fairly high (or were, it’s been a while or me).
But for a PvP player with an alt of every class, the current system sucks. Unfortunately I fall into this second category.

Just wanted to join the chorus: unbelievable, game-breaking lag-spikes have been introduced into spvp. My internet is fine, it is an anet issue that has only recently been observed.
@Olba Odd that I’m hearing thieves aren’t good in pvp?! Considering a full third of the playerbase seems to be playing them, that’s surprising.
I find it the easiest class by far to get 10-0 in spvp.
I think having some sort of way to fight stealth opponents is part of what’s really missing in the current mechanics. I like the OP’s suggestion.
Or have the damage numbers pop.
I would support almost any stealth nerfs atm.

Considering each player has all of 3 utilities to choose, I’m not sure requiring them to have anti-thief utils equipped in order to fight them is really a fair solution. If it was a side-effect added to current, somewhat lackluster skills, I could get behind that!
For ex: Add it to guardians’ orb of light, so when it pops it reveals thieves in a 400 radius around it.
Quickness is a bane on the fun of this game.
There are several annoying things in spvp (massive numbers of very hard to kill mesmers and thieves, are the big ones) but the easiest to fix is to remove quickness.
What fun is it for the person on the recieving end of 12+ K damage in less than 2 seconds? No time to react, even if you have a stun break.
Nothing really counters it, blinds and shields only last 1 hit which is a drop in the bucket on these 15 hit insta-combos. Followed, of course, by a 1 second finisher. sigh
Realistically I know nothing is going to change, but I thought I’d make my displeasure public.
As a dagger using Asura, I have to definitely throw my hat in. These weapons are almost impossible to see, even at full zoom. If I wasn’t so lazy and time limited I’d honestly consider rerolling.
The greatswords are good, everything else looks like it’s needs 20% size increase (at least!)
