As I was looking over the things needed to my the legendary rifle The Predator I noticed that the recipe was changed (AGAIN) to require 100 Onyx Lodestones.

Problem is I have no idea where to get them!

So does anyone know a place where they drop with some semblance of regularity or what monster tends to drop them? I already have to save up 100+ gold for a legendary and I cant really afford to buy them at the trading post. (School and general poverty.)

Furthermore I heard you can combine 2 cores into a lodestone, but is there anyways to combine shards and slivers into cores and then lodestones?

I think its the cabalist set

Today I logged in and I was greeted with a notification saying “Please consider changing your password”

If you havent realized its too much for anyone and it comes with flaws.

For one it goes against arenanets no grinding policy

It requires a reward gained from 100% map completion, which if people already have 100% map completion they wont get.

Its absolute bullsht to grind that much for a weapon that looks different

All hopes of obtaining a legendary weapon smashed :L

Always nice to know something you have been saving items and crafting materials for just quadruples in gold price and the amount of grinding you have to do

Exactly so you get to grind yourkitten off farming all day for gold, oh and exploring the whole world too, just to get a weapon that LOOKS PRETTY

I noticed on the wikipedia the legendary weapon recipes where changed to require TRIPLE to effort , money , and grinding for gold items and karma to make them, is this true that they have changed to this recipe?

If so why the hell would they change it to some recipe that is so ungodly difficult to complete for a weapon that has the SAME stats as a level 80, just with “special particle effects”

I believe the Pact weapons are sold by a karma vendor during a Pact mission where you go behind the locked gate ( And also get the pact mission only Point of Interest)

However Arenanet will be changing it so you can go inside anytime you want to get the point of interest, and hopefully the Pact weapon vendor too.

Title says it all, I was wondering if map completion rewards, such as weapons and equipment you get, scale to your level.

I’ve been wanting to create a second character for a while to cover for what things my engineer character cant and to have a different story line and game play etc.

What I could use some advice on is should I make a Mesmer or Necromancer? And some tips for playing and building each respective class.

I’m a bit undecided because I have read on the forums about people who say Necromancers and Mesmers are under powered.

Thanks for the help, I was reluctant to shatter my clones thinking they wouldent do damage. Any tips on which shatter is the best to use?

Im a completionist and I keep getting stuck at timberline falls because the inquest gate wont open for me to get 100% for that map. OCD OFF THE CHARTS

You can always just watch a youtube video if you get stuck.

When a Mesmer shatters a clone does the clone have to be really close to deal damage?
If so would that make shattering ranged clones pointless as they are too far to apply damage when shattered?

I have seen a few people wonder and ask what they should do once they hit the level cap of 80 so here’s some ideas.

1 – PvP and WvW
If you are max level don’t get bored and quit or do nothing, use your skills to win some bonuses for everyone or to stomp others in PvP

2 – Exploration
By the time you reach level 80 you will have a sizeable chunk of the world explored, why not explore the rest? There is tons of detail in Gw2 that are begging to be explored, like the troupe of dancing pygmy moas!

3 – Legendary.

4 Jumpy!
Why not explore some jumping puzzles? There are tons of them, even in cities that are well hidden and fun to explore. The free loot is also nice. Did you know there are 3 hidden jumping puzzles in lions arch?

5 Achieve greater things
Why not try completing some achievements and feats? You can even get titles for some such as reviving a lot of people!

Legendary weapons also require an exotic weapon to be forged but at this time it is unknown whether or not you need a specific exotic weapon or any exotic weapon you can find.

The recipe is absolute and there is no chance of you not getting a Legendary weapon by random when you use the mystic forge. There are 2 kinds of recipes in mystic forge, some are random such as when putting in 4 green items and seeing what you get, but recipes such as ones for legendary weapons are specific and are not random.

Legendary weapons also supposedly have special particles and animations.

There is no Legendary set of armor as of yet.
