VotF moved from Augury Rock to Far Shiverpeaks.

Will do , Wemil. No effort needed as they seems like very nice people to us.

Their arrival was a good news. They will help us in the period before the prime time and reinforce the prime. First contacts in and outside the game have been warm. We look forward to work with them and it seems like it will be a win – win situation as it has been in the past with previous euro guilds.

I hope it will encourage US or SEA guilds to consider our server as a destination if they are interested to cross the Atlantic.

Augury Rock has now a long tradition to host international guilds.

On the eve of the start of the league system, we have secured our place in L1 (Euro). That means that we will have actions 24h a day in all our match-ups.

Augury Rock is a stable and solid server with well-organized and welcoming community. We are proud to base our game on something different that the usual blobs. Namely, we play mostly with multiples guilds coordinating to achieve multi-impacts on enemy blobs basing our game more on mobility and tactical as well as operational moves than on raw power.

However, to be able to perform in L1, we lack some friends during European nights (US prime time). And so, if the domination of the big three on US league doesn’t appeal to you. You might be interested to consider our server. And of course, we don’t have any waiting queues during US prime time.

We are tagged as a French speaking server and indeed most of our players are French speaking. But for numerous months, we have hosted European English speaking guilds that felt at home on our server and appreciated our approach of the WvW. Namely, Red Guard [RG] for a couple of months, Vengeance of the Fallen [VotF] stayed 5 months with us and nowadays, Circle of Nine [CoN] just arrived at our server.

We have all the usual tools like forums, TS with a general use of whisper lists, etc …

Oh, we are a blobbing server ? Coming from a JS player, you are of course an expert in that kind of play and I guess you must mean it like a compliment, right ?
Anyway, interesting. Of course, blob happens sometimes but that’s far from what we aim for.

You are aware that VS is blobbing less than JS, yes ?

Even if AR is finishing in third place, we had a pleasant week, on the battlefield as well as on the forum. We don’t usually criticize server for the way they play. If they blob or have a better coverage. We will deal with it and go along.

Score wise, Baruch isn’t easy to play due to their coverage. In our long weeks of fighting with Piken and you, we saw you rise in power and we think that your place in the top three is well deserved. We take comfort in the fact that we were able to be on par with you during our prime time.

As for Riverside, you were able to capitalize better than us on the few weakness of the Baruch coverage. We remained at striking distance but we were not able to come back. Anyway, it seems we will retain the 9th spot in the ladder. We look forward to meet you again soon without any of the top three behemoths.

Well, you should not see any problem to accept these comments. Nobody said that you are all cheaters and everybody knows that there are cheaters on every servers. But when we observe it, it’s normal to report it.
As for the blob comments, well, everybody plays as it please them…

Welcome to VoTF on Augury Rock.

Yep, as Sandro said, we just welcomed a couple of guilds from AS. Most of them have gone to JS. And they will not go back afterwards. AS is now almost dead regarding WvW. Guilds fled from AS because it simply has not enough population to sustain WvW activity. This server was created after the launch and as such, was a nice place to be in the first months after release to avoid long queues to enter WvW. But now that the initial population on all servers has dropped a bit, now that transfer stop to be free, all the WvW guilds that were on AS have moved on more populated servers like VS, AR and JS.

Regarding this matchup, i’m sad that we cannot have a better competition with you as it was in the previous weeks. But, contrary to you, we didn’t have a nice matchup last week being dominated by a boosted JS and with no BT present. And after three weeks of hard beating, our players are very hungry for victory and domination. Domination reinforced by the absence of any AS opposition. WvW in GW2 is not meant to be played with one empty server because it reinforce the one dominating and doesn’t give opportunity to the other to recover.

Sad indeed, most of their McM players and guild moved to the other French servers before the end of free transfers. So Parts of what was arborstone are with us. Others are on Vizunah and the majority moved on Jade Sea.
We saw the same thing with Blacktide last week. An old powerhouse falling down…

I have not seen any reactions on our invitation for such an event.

As Sandro already replied, I just want to say that we are not much AR players to come to this forum. Most are on the french part of it or on a community forum. Anyway, I will broadcast your invitation there so that the people that might be interested are aware of it. We have some guilds (gnous, LdF, black fury, SOW…) which are always looking for a good fight…

i will just add that I very much appreciate to fight both of your servers. We consider you as honourable and worthy opponents. Looking at the ratings, it seems we are in for at least one more week together, which I find nice because the battle is pretty even.

Yup, very sad to hear we have some cheaters. As of these CHOC guys, they are not part of our server community. No contact with them whatsoever. I saw them once at the spawn before your first reports.
Report them so that arenanet investigate (hopefully) and ban them if the hack is proved. As everyone, we don’t want cheaters on our server. If I see them again, I will try to contact or follow them and report them if I see them cheat.

I hope this affair will not skew the result of this match and will not tarnish too much our reputation. We have a very interesting and even matchup. I would not want it to be spoiled by these guys.

Regarding the other affair at hills a day or two ago, no cheat there. The guilds involved are in good standings in our community and I believe them. If you want more infos about this subject, Mp me.

Anyway, may the best and most honourable (discounting cheaters) prevail !

It looks like there are people out again who just like to ruin everybody’s fun. Several players from guilds Parental Advisory Explicit PVP (PAEP), SR and DoA (got just the tags of them) just happened to find themselves inside Lord’s room at Hill’s Keep. They would have took it while we were checking walls to see why is keep contested if not for our eagle-eyes elementalist who noticed Lord’s health bar falling fast.

We have had that keep for 6 hours at that moment and if a very patient mesmer was inside he must have had perma-stealth as I and other guildies have run around that keep a hundred times sieging it up and upgrading it. I hope Arena-net starts doing something about this kind of cheaters.

I really hope you guys get teamed 2v1 in every single match up you guys enter in the future.
This is just ridiculous to watch both servers fighting together against Gandara.
I haven’t seen any AR vs PS activity in the last 48 hours, keep it up. Only thing you do is teaming up versus Gandara so you don’t lose that much rating.
Anyway that tactic won’t lead your servers to victory in long term, it will only make them weaker.

I’m proud of the Gandarians that stay up to try to keep the lead and even if we lose it one day, to keep our server getting the ratings these two servers try to rob from us.

Someone’s gonna come here and tell me that we did the “same thing” vs Augury Rock the other day, but those are big lies. We still kept fighting vs Piken.

You will find that some of us on Piken Square agree. We have been on the receiving end of alliances and are used to being “double teamed” but that is no excuse for doing it ourselves. As a commander, with the support of a small group of like-minded players, i took the step of breaking the “official alliance” between Piken and Augury.

We wanted to send a message that Piken Square will win on its own merits, through fighting tooth and nail, not by doing back alley deals with other servers.

Gandara has fought well and if they deserve the ranking more than Piken, my server, then i salute them. Points must be earned, not bargained for.

Some on my server say i lacked “honour” by going against this alliance. I prefer to see them as lacking the will to win on their own. Piken square will not be known as the server that does deals for its victories. We will win because we are better or lose because we are worse and it will be fairly done.

Regarding the shame comment, that was an answer to Vynt. As I said, we have great respect for Gandara. But people were outraged by what happened during the Christmas night. Is it right ? Well as usual, that’s a matter of perception.
That’s might be the same for Piken, I don’t know.
And by the way, we celebrate Christmas eve as well as the 25th here.

Most important thing is that Bessie was not harmed.

What was not considered so nice was the way you gained your lead during the Christmas night. Who is shamefull here ? In fact, people are outraged by your Christmas theft. I suspect it’s the same feeling on Piken.
Up to that point, the encounter had been fair and interesting. And we had much respect for Gandara. It will come back. Later.

As of the remark about the least populated server being hit. We don’t have much organization during the weekend and no instructed focus. To be honest, we are much accustomed to be last during the weekend and define our priorities for the week in respect of the position and profile of each enemy the sunday evening.

Also, you will not have much night cappers from us. We are an old timer server and cherish our bed time. ;-)

Some nice fights until now on the Gandara BG, you fortified a lot already.

We will do our best to give each of you a good and honourable fight.

As I said, i can’t speak for JS but i don’t think they have Canadians. Peak hours for Canadians would be from 1AM to 6AM CET. 5 to 7AM doesn’t seems right for them. I would guess that these are people waking up early and playing a couple of hours before going to work (something pretty usual in the French servers of D1 and D2).

Anyway, nice match up, we dominated during the day but at 4pm, on your map, we felt hard the start of the russian peak hour. We made our best to hold on Askalion but could only delay you. I heard that fighting was also intense on other maps.

No, no canadians on our servers. I can’t speak for JS but on AR, we are often weak during weekends and we were also weakened by the PvE events this week.

We are usually good the days during the week. Maybe a lot of retired people here (and certainly not the peak hour for canadians). You will have the advantage of your russians players at the start of the evening but don’t count too much to dominate the evenings. We held our ground at these times against many servers that are now in D2 or D3.

Then will come the night and this is also one of our weakness.

But then again you have a lead of 20,000 points, that’s a big lead…
