Safeboxes are invisible bags. They are called different names depending on which craft made them. Armoursmiths create safeboxes, leather workers create invisible bags and so forth. Any item inside a safebox or invisible bag will not show up at the vendor, nor in the Trading Post. Move the items from your safebox into a regular bag and you’ll see them appear at vendors again.

Let me try to put things in perspective for you. I have a US account that was hacked by China. They hacked my account, stole all of my gold from my characters and vault, removed every item from my vault, sold it too, collected the gold and left me stripped, broke and void of everything I had worked so very hard far. This Chinese hacker most likely took my gold, transferred/mailed it another hacking account and sold it for real money. As a result, I’ve been unable to play for 11 days now. I still don’t have my account restored, I’ve missed the entire Winter Holiday events, as well as, everything you just listed above. Arenanet is trying to block and prevent these hackers from collecting and selling our precious gold from innocent victims.
So you’ve resorted to transferring items to each other through the guild bank. Isn’t that what it is there for? Step back and look at the big picture. Yes, you were inconvenienced for a couple of days. You were red flagged for moving gold, which apparently was large enough to raise eyebrows and Arenanet took measures to stop it. All you had to do was submit a ticket, they reviewed it and gave you your account back. If a few people have to be inconvenienced in this manner to try and prevent hackers and gold farmers running off with innocent people’s gold and earned items, I believe that is a small price to play until they get a better handle and containment of those who will abuse the game and rob the innocent.

You’ve confirmed I was hacked. Confirmed how I was hacked. You offered an account restoration and I accepted. No response at all for 7 days since I accepted the account restoration. Account still not restored. Questions not answered. I’ve missed the entire Winter Holiday Events. You’ve asked me to be patient. I believe being patient for over 10 days is going beyond the patience that should be required.
As much as I don’t want to agree with ShiningSquirrel (love the name btw) I have to. I’ve lost patience several times of the days of my pending tickets, but this is a one-time-only pay to play game. If we had to have a monthly subscription to play, much like other games, then I’d expect live support. The old saying still remains true “you get what you pay for”.
I’m sorry, but I’m reading this and laughing, shaking my head at the absurdity. You regain your hacked account and find yourself in a group with other hacked accounts and the hackers on hacked accounts report you for bad behavior. I’m LoL’ing, although this is anything, but funny as I’m laughing with you, not at you, as I write this waiting for any resolution for my own account hacked by China.
I would encourage you to contact your Guild Leader and have them remove this player from the guild. Sounds like a hacker and they would love to get their dirty hands on the guild vault goodies.
I have tried to keep my account hacked woes private and not resorting to whining on the forums, but I’ve reached my limit with the service I’ve received and the idiocy of what has been done. Gaile, you’re the last hope I have right now.
The first attempt of my account being hacked resulted in a failure to deny a foreign China IP Address on my US account. Ticket Reference – 121205-000362. Closed without resolution and my Serial Code copied and pasted from email into the ticket.
Dec 16th – The hacker compromised my support account, obviously found my Serial Code from the above mentioned ticket and was successful in getting a log-in reset and hacked my account stealing everything from me. Gold, Gems, Vault. Ticket Reference – 121216-001003
The ticket I created in regard to my hacked account: Ticket Reference – 121216-002529 Included in this ticket is very single piece of verification information for my account that you requested from me to prove I am indeed the account owner. The Support Team confirmed my account was compromised by a third party and I was offered an account restoration which has yet to be done.
Today I received the following email from Ticket Reference – 121216-001003 (the one the hacker created):

Thank you for reporting this issue to us, I have confirmed that an unauthorized third party contacted NCsoft support using your Support Account and was able to provide your Guild Wars 2 serial code. We do have ways to resolve this issue for you.
Because this ticket was created by the hacker I would like to continue this correspondence through a different email address. Please reply to this ticket with a different email address I can contact you at. Once I have this information I will contact you through the new email.

As requested, I responded back by email and provided a brand new email address in which correspondence could continue only to find about an hour later that you’ve copied and pasted my email response, including the new email address, into the hacker ticket! You’ve already admitted that my Support Account had been compromised, all of my personal verification copied and posted into these tickets and you continue to paste in the new information you’re trying to keep from the hacker seeing because he had already breached my support account???
I am outraged! It has taken days to a get single response about my hacked account, nothing has been done other than to wipe out my approved network whitelist (which included a China IP Address I did not authorize). When I do finally get one response it takes another set of days to hear anything more.
So you’ve confirmed I’ve been hacked from China on a US game account. Confirmed I was hacked through my Support Account. You continue to post my emails with private information we want kept from the hacker into the breached support account tickets. Seriously?
What is being done to restore my game account? What is being done about all of my private verification information being displayed for the hacker to see and write everything down to only hack me again?
Why should I ever play this game again? Sorry, it is time for me to go public with this as the snowball grows bigger and bigger and a snowball I’ve yet to have the pleasure to throw being I’ve missed the entire Winter Holiday event so far because of my hacked account.
