The problem is it’s greatly affected by the number of players in LA. Try it in those most populated servers where a constant of roughly couple hundreds of players are present, it just can’t be done.

It can be done and I see it regularly. I’m far from being the only one too.

Then I should assume you have a godly machine build that can support your claim.

I’ve never heard of anyone getting higher then 35 with the way the game is optimized. Now should they improve the game for multi core processors and AMD hardware, that could improve, but right now the game doesnt even use 2 cores.

Why do you think intel processors perform so much better. lol Single threaded performance on intel (haswell in particular) is roughly 28% better then AMD FX series.

I gave up on AMD since I had replaced my Phenom II x4 965 years ago. Bulldozer was such a letdown, as expected.

Just wondering, has anyone ever been able to get 50+ FPS in LA with max graphics settings @ 1080p especially in the area around the Mystic Forge? It seems impossible with the current generation of hardware.

What I don’t understand is why the LS events don’t have scaling according to the number and level of the characters present? Yes you are scaled to 80 but a level 10 character scaled to 80 is not anywhere equal to a real level 80.

Because many players are uniquely equipped and traited up and it is extremely difficult to scale the events simply base on the level itself.

I needed 3 spawns of the wurm to complete the jump achievement. The shockwaves don’t usually hit where you stand is kinda annoying.

I still haven’t pinpointed the exact moment for jumping. I think you need to be at your full height of your jump when the shockwave passes right underneath you.

Don’t forget most players get gems to buy items in the store, not for investment nor speculation purposes. Those gems are gone for good. With ANet regularly releases new items in the store, it’s just a matter of time when things go outta hand.

By the way, the price has risen by 2.1g just for the last 30 days. That’s 36.5% for crying out loud. And an overall +2762% since the game’s release!

Not the way what works? Cuz all evidence is pointing out the gem supply is dwindling fast.

So ANet has no plans on refilling the gems in the exchange whatsoever? I reckon players who are willing to spend real money on gems will always be the minority unless there is something worthwhile to attract more transactions.

Some of you say things will eventually reach the point which players will be made to finally ‘feel’ like spending real money on gems so to balance out the exchange rate. When will that day ever come? And how broken will the exchange rate be then? It certainly won’t be attracting new players to stock up on gems too.

The way I see it is this will only hurt the sale/exchange of gems and render gold obsolete if things are to follow the same path. I believe most of us are clearheaded enough not to waste hundreds of dollars of our hard earned cash in order to help stabilizing some virtual economy of a game. Don’t forget we also have an actual inflation to take care of in our world.

I haven’t invested much time into understanding the economics of this game.

By gathering from the posts of this thread, does it mean that there are only a limited amount of gems available at any one time thus results in the constantly increasing cost? I’ve always thought that virtual currencies can be generated whenever they are required.

According to GW2Spidy the exchange rate increased by a ridiculous 1g just on the 13th of November. What exactly happened that day? Did someone suddenly decided to spend thousands of golds and turn them into gems?

As long as somebody’s at the top of the Tower, they can pull everybody into the instance with them. The party doesn’t need to be together.

Wait, I’m actually not sure if it works across servers like dungeons. I do know that it works if everybody’s in the same map on the same server, even if one guy’s at the top and the others are at the bottom.

Yea the LFG only works when everyone is in the same map regardless of the server. The tower is one big map itself(no loading points in between levels) so I hope it works.

Does the LFG function for the final boss work when players are not in the same level? Hate to jump around levels to meet up with everyone else.

I suggest you guest to the higher population servers. They seem to have substantial number of players around the clock.

What about EU servers?

I’m currently exploring Straits of Devastation and there are a few skill points I just can’t get to due to the meta event of the area which is the taking of Temple of Balthazar. The current server I’m in isn’t populated enough apparently to make a break through.

So can anyone suggest servers that have players still care enough to complete events or is this event currently completed at any of the servers? Any help would be appreciated.
