I am willing to bet that the reason high level fractal players are being screwed is because they are a small percentage of the population but also don’t buy a lot of gems. Anet has probably even realized that losing most or all of these customers won’t hurt their profits but may even help them. Think about it, the fractal entry point and progression is being made easier so they can bring in more newcomers which = more profits. The fractal veterans are made up mostly of hardcore gamers and we all know most hard core gamers use the most bandwidth and put very little real money into games. This move is a win-win for Anet.
Any player who has 31+ personal reward level as of the new Fractals announcement should receive a special FOTM title. Anything less is a slap in a face and disrespectful to the Veterans who put in their time.
Zerk mesmers have very good survivability, even better than zerk warriors imo. 100% Endurance uptime is huge and cannot be overlooked, mix that in with multiple evade options, clones/sealth, and max range dps. Switch to a sword+ focus and jump in with a blurred frenzy + warden for nice, quick, and painless melee.
I believe Anet flat out doesn’t know what to do with conditions so they choose to do nothing in fear of breaking something. The whole point of damage over time is that you are trading instant damage for slower + more overall damage over time. In GW2 zerkers have both the highest instant damage and highest overall dps, that is problem. Lets get this thread more posts, Anet needs to realize that.
If you have more people you win. There is no tactics involved. Check the queues and compare it to rankings:
Higher server population and maximum player cap in world vs. world do not go hand in hand. Yes, there is a statistical advantage of this happening – since you can fall back to a higher number of players. But stochastics and ‘large numbers’ do not per se grant an advantage – since we are talking mere ‘probabilities’. It still could happen that you have a caped out world population – of which no one wants to (or can) play at night.

“Using it to teleport through gate is too strong and needs to be balanced”This is told by a game designer.
Night capping is the same. It’s valid to use as a tactic. But it’s too strong and needs to get balanced.
The only reason Mesmer portal is too strong is because the game engine isn’t able to render new player models fast enough. I fail to see how a game engine problem is relatable to night capping.

This is contradicting. Either night capping is valid or it’s not. I just don’t see why people keep complaining and coming up with suggestions to “fix” or “balance” something that has been stated to be working as intended.
Night capping is one of those valid tactics to score some points in a lasting battle – to get your world the upper hand, or cancel out daytime supremacy by another well coordinated opponent..
What are we debating here? Anet recognizes night capping as a valid tactic.

Everyone else says – “WvW is fun for a couple days, and then I don’t bother because it’s impossible and I’m not wasting any more of my money or time”
Yep. Somehow I don’t see ANet budging though.
Does not matter if its my peak hours or not. Bottom line is Friday-Sunday people can stay up all night (LARGE MAJORITY) Americans included and pvp. An when that happens you got steamrolled and your population advantage with a huge showing from 10pm-7am was meaningless cause your not allowed that handicap when people stay up. So you want to brag and showboat then maybe you should accomplish something of value instead of get beat down for the entire weekend when majority of the entire population of the people who purchased the game can play.
Last I checked WvW matches last a full week not just Friday-Sunday.
Fact is WvW is 24×7. If your server is weak during certain periods of time then do something about it instead of complaining.
HoD is such a HUGE server with large alliances and “Bandwagoners” yeah there are a lot there you cant deny it, that they have the fortunate advantage over anyone they go up against.
That’s true. What are you going to do about it? If Ascension Alliance was smart they would recruit some off hour guilds to ET.
