How about all of them? Select the primary stat, then select the secondary and tertiary stats (no duplicates, of course). Sure, this would change crafting and ascended boxes a lot… but it’s a lot better than receiving a couple of nearly useless stat combos every year.
If that’s too much to ask, how about some combination of Healing Power, Boon Duration and Condition Damage?

Stat choice :
+1 – Multipling the prefix (radib, berserker, “ugly-cavern-trash-mob-punisher”, toastmaster and so on…) is so confusing you never know which gear for what stat. Please don’t add more !
Choosing the stats when crafting would be so much easier (just make one type of item for one stat. Exemple : venom pouch for condition damage + bone for thoughness + blood flask for precision) – and you could sell items in the gem store to change the stats
Moreover i’m fed up with all the useless gear we get everythime… why not sell in the gem stor a “recombiner” to convert 3 items and stats into one ?
Of course this would change the economy of your game but, being honnest, not so much since everyone is level 80 now…

Especially for my staff mesmer !

I strongly agree and support you Mondo.
ARENA, please give us so more cut scenes and cinematics where we can discover the vilains and their motivations, so we can feel some empathy with them.
Why not even play a small scenario were we can be the vilains and meet Scarlet and learn how she did this. I remember so part of the personnal history where we could disguise and infiltrate the ranks of the ennemy. Why can’t we do that in the living story ?

Appart form your skills, one of the biggest game mechanism is the dodge.
Anyway, unless you avoids the damages it’s completely useless. And dodging left or right doe’snt really matter in term of space.
Anyway A-net stated that GW2 fights were all about space control, so what if the dodge were more usefull with the differents traits ? What if it really matter to dodge left or right ?

We could creat new dodge traits to improve space control like the thief caltrops
Guardian (honor ) : push back the ennemies from the place you dodge to.
Engi (invention) : fire one of your turrets for free when you land next to it
Ranger (skirmishing) : create a bramble trap that immobilize one ennemie (1s)
Elementalist (air) : create a small tornado that reflects the projectiles
Necromancer (curse) : inflict torment (3s) to your surrounding ennemies
Mesmer (illusion) : pull the ennemies around you to the place you dodge to.
Giving different traits underwater might be fun but you would need to balance the classes, develop new functions in the game and make the gameplay more complicated. So I don’t realy support a different trait setup.
Nevertheless I would really like underwater oriented major traits.
Since there’s only 2 major traits in each line, creating 1 more would not be too complicated and would not imbalance the gameplay too much.
I could imagine for my mesmer major traits :
Domination – Drowning panic : when you cause drowning, you also apply 5 stacks of confusion
Duel – Ride the tide : Gain stability (2s) each time you gain swiftness and fury (2s)
Chaos – Deep sea descent : when you are downed, all ennemies around sink for 3s.
Inspiration – Siren Song : when you grant regeration to an ally, you also grant retaliation
Illusion – Coral color : your shatters also inflict blind

Wether you like her or not (and many people hate her), Scarlet has to die one day.
Let’s just imagine how :
1) Eaten by a dragon (or two)
2) Roasted in the Thaumanova Reactor
3) Scrambled by one of her improbable invention
4) Beheaded by her hairdresser beacause she’s a real hair-pain
5) Killed by the destiny’s edge beacause she really speak too much for nothing
6) Death out of despair since Lord Farren admits he’s in love with her.
(Don’t forget guys that the player never do anything interesting in the living story, so WE cannot kill her. It’s alway the destiny’s edge or some NPC that get the rewards and applause. We are just the escort of the NPC)

Hi guys !
Did you notice that when you leave your character alone it starts swinging its weapons ?
I find it’s cool since it gives some attitude to your character.
But what if you could customize your attitude even more ?
If you could choose the way it runs or the way it holds its shoulders when doing nothing (eg : shoulder turned on the inside like “depressed” or “sneaky” attitude or shoulder out like a “proud” hero).
Maybe you could choose among several attitudes at the creation from “ultimate nasty” to “holy naïve hero” and have the character behave accordingly.
Maybe our holy hero could sit and pray when left alone ?
Would you like that ? How would you have that implemented ?

I don’t mind the trait changes, they don’t really change the gameplay, they just change stats and figures.
As far a the scepter is concerned : Xaylin did a good analyse regarding conditions and boons but don’t forget the other possible effect : block and combo.
I suggest fot the scepter chain : suppress the automatic clone
– hit/hit/hit and gain 1s block and succeful block creates a clone
or
- hit/hit and projectile finisher/hit and blast finisher
The whole idea is to trick the ennemy : are you going to block at the at the last second or not ? is your block already over ? do you want to attack and risk to create a clone ?
Second option : the scepter seems armless until suddently you pop a field and combo !
As far as iMage is concerned : it needs a real reworking
If you don’t want to change it totaly, at least give him retaliation and stability.

Remember the goddess of illusion has to faces : one is official, the other one is hidden. The two twin sisters live together and so do Anise and Jennah, they live together, and Anise is always in the shadow of the queen.
They maybe both the incarnation of Lyssa or at leat powerful champions of the goddess
Edit : By “official” and “hidden” I mean that lyssa is all about dual nature and conceiling your beauty under an ugly face or the contrary…

I don’t mind colorfull mobs and humour but please Anet when something is dramatic, make it so !
The only time i felt sad in PVE is when all my NPC team dies and become undeads while Trahearne is trying to revive the life in Orr. I like them beacause they made jokes, we fought together and beacause they died protecting us. And now they come back as undead with the music “fear not this night” starting to play. That was dramatic !
Suggestion 1 :
When “ugly pink and fluffy” mobs slaughter a region, kill the NPC or make them leave the region ! WTF is doing a karma vendor in the region while it’s beeing overwhelmed by “ugly light blue and smiling” mobs ?
And if the invasion is successful (the player lose) then disable several towns and NPC in the region and turn some building to ashes.
Suggestion 2 :
Set scouting quests where the players must search for any dragon activity around the different regions, remain vigilant and report any anormal activity to prevent a real invasion.

I agree zerg players and bus figthing in WvW don’t make it easy to plan a combo attack.
One question is also multiple combo fields overlaping, so you cant’ really rely on combo. Why not make a combofield only when 2 combo fields overlap ?
What about a small change in the combo system like :
2 combo field + 3 combo finishers = 1 big combo
So for example you would need 2 time the same combo (example : 2 light fields) and 3 combo leap at the same time (maybe during 2 to 3 seconds) to activate a combo for all the leaping players.
I know it’s not as dynamic as an instant combo effect but it would improve one kind of attack if the combo is powerfull enough.
After all GW2 is about space control : so if you see 3 red circles aroud you, you should really not stay still and you should move to avoid a big combo in your face.
Another option : Why not use a random timer to do a combo.
For exemple you use a special floating symbol that indicate for 2 or 3 second a random possible combo in the combo field. And you could do the combo only during this time.
So the player should choose between attacking like brainless zerg all the time or waiting for the symbol to appear and use the right skill (projectile, leap…).
Of course all that requiers that the combos are useful…

One thing I really enjoy in a MMORPG is team gameplay. I’m glad when the team plays together and wins together, not just because someone rushed alone or someone soloted the boss during 10 minutes when all the team is dead.
If I wanted to play alone, I would not play a MMORPG.
After all, who defeated Zaithan ? All the races together, forging/blanding weapons together and fighting together, not just zerging on the same map.
So my point is :
How do you interact with the other players and make 1+1=3 players ?
The answer in GW2 should be COMBO !!
You have a combo field, i have a combo blast, let’s do together something usualy impossible. Exemple : Engineer smoke bomb + Ele phoenix blast = area stealth. You gain new skills usually unavailable to your class. That’s awesome !
Unfortunately the combo system seems to be poorly exploited, by the developpers and by the players. Face it : how many player know the difference between all combo ? How many team try to do combo at the right time and build a team or build according to the combo ?
And yet the all system of combo is already implemented. So why are people not using them ?
Here are a few questions we can try to answer :
*Is the combo system too complicated ?
*Do the different combo finishers change your team playstyle (leap, blast, projectile…) ?
*Are the combo usefull and powerfull enough ?
*Do you think the combo should boost your usual skills of give you new skills usually not accessible to your class ?
*Do you think the combo should happend more often (less powerfull combo) or less often (more powerfull combo)
*What do you thing about combo with 3 or more players ? would you try to use it ?
Please try to answer as a team member, not as a lonesome player.

I like the idea, that would be cool, instead of the usual banner stomp.
If GW2 is all about the style and skin, why not choose that too ? It may be granted as a reward in pvp just like the usual rabbit and dear finishers. And you could find it in PVE with special quest.
I would love too choose among several finisher, according to my style :
Fire ele – burn the ennemy with a pillar of fire and blow the ashes in the wind
Air ele – strike with a big lightning
Minion master necro – summons a swarm of nasty beasties to eat the target
Duelist mesmer – have the target kill itself out of despair
The only point I see is : how gore is the finisher ?
You don’t want it to be a slaughter with blood everywhere so this may be an issue
