Well, I’m partial to Ranger, but Necromancer is great, as well.
You can use the L80 Boost to try out each and every Profession in The Silverwastes map, and possibly get a feel for how each Profession plays at max level. Once finished trying out the Professions, the L80 Boost will remain, waiting for you to make your final decision later.
Here’s a helpful (official) video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IbMbGG1lOU
Awesome! Thank you for linking that video. I’ll have to check it out after I get off work today.
Apparently there are a wealth of videos on “Which class you should play” and associated topics so there’s a bunch of other things I’ll have to check out.
I would suggest saving the L80 Boost until after you have leveled one or two characters naturally. You will not miss out on the leveling tutorial tips and rewards that way, and will be better prepared for the newer L80 content.
Welcome return and good luck.
Thank you for your reply!
You’re probably right, I should level a character or two and learn the mechanics of the game before diving into the end game.
With that being said, which class would you suggest I start with?
Hello everyone!
I bought Guild Wars 2 not long after it came out but didn’t play it long in favor of World of Warcraft. I maybe got to lvl 10 or so. Now I’m diving into it once more because I’m looking for something different to play. I do have Heart of Thorns so I have a lvl 80 boost that I’ll probably use to start with.
I’m looking for opinions from everyone on what class I should play. My only preference is I would like to play classes that are engaging and require thinking in order to play. I played a faceroll character in WoW for a long time so I’m looking to get away from that monotony.
I will consider each and every opinion. I would also like to hear what you all play and why you enjoy it.
Thank you in advance for everyone who reads and replies!
