It’s a pet peeve of mine and with everything going on now in WvW it is something that I hear a lot of complaining about and I believe that ANet needs to address this.
ANet, you’ve put in this great system of buffs for claiming towers, keeps and camps so why do you allow claiming by troll guilds and guilds that have nothing to offer. You need to change this system so that a guild cannot claim a location unless they have buffs. I personally believe that at least 3 buffs should be active in order to claim a location.
I would go further by suggesting that system should be altered so that there is simply a claiming banner in art of war that costs 1500 influence per build with all of the current buffs. This would prevent arguments about what buffs are more important and should be compared for overriding other claims.
I dont care what the other guilds banners look like. I only care about how they are helping our world.
I kinda skipped over this .. but after reading about the new map and it’s ‘supposed’ purpose .. one line stood out among all of them ..
This means worlds with a large population won’t be able to use their size to gain an unfair advantage with this map.
If that is truly the case .. then this is what all maps need to be changed to in order to kick it in the butt for WvW. This one change would bring back a large number of people that have given up because of lack of balance on all the maps because of server population.
I was under the understanding that all area inside the citadel borders was siege locked. So I question if this is suppose to be possible (see screenshot)
Here’s a thought. How about anet actually uses trajectory math and finding things like walls, cliffs, roofs and other such large coverage in their AOE weapons targeting. I find it quite frustrating that an arrow cart can fire through a wall that it is set up against. Or that it can rain arrows down on people under an arch or low bridge. some actual physics in the targeting would be nice and make using siege a bit more interesting and challenging.
I and other guild members have noticed this the past few days.
Auto target seems to be shifting to objects such as gates, siege equipment and other low priority targets instead of enemy players and/or npcs.
Auto target seems to be shifting to a higher priority target when the player goes on a downed state. ie, shifting to a veteran or champion instead of staying on the current npc target.
I can not say this happens every single time , but it happens often enough to be a pain.

Ricky, you go ahead and hold down the fort and go mano a mano with everyone .. War and Merc will continue harassing their own borderlands, taking their keeps and drawing them away from our borderlands to make your job easier.

Went through the pre-events for Fire Elemental today but when the protect during cleanup event finished, the fire elemental did not spawn. when we entered the area, that FE spawns in, there was a column of fire already present. When the protect event was done, rooba stated that the world didnt deserve it and that was the end of things. Fire column is still up in the reactor as I type this.
Quite frankly I think it should be removed. I have seen no one that has completed more than 2 legendary items since I started playing and I have heard stories of 1 and only 1 person on our server that has completed the achievement since the release of the game. That makes it, in my opinion, an elitist achievement and it shouldn’t be in general achievements.
I do not believe you need map completion. I have seen nothing about needing that in any guide concerning the creation of legendary items

I noticed that the legendary collector achievement is about crafting items in the mystic forge. Shouldn’t this achievement be moved to the tradesman group of achievements? It does not seem to be something really associated with exploring and it keeps people who don’t really care about legendary items from completing the explorer group of achievements.
Still a problem, apparently, as I just ran into the problem with Zott stopping at the edge of the green circle when trying to revive Elli. He wont move at all and the only member of the crew I can revive is the vigil warmaster.
