I’ve just simulated it on my account, you are right that you aren’t able to move it back with the corner point. However I can get it back by holding the black part of the minimap (with the zoombuttons en map symbols.) and then drag it down again.
This is a fix for you and I hope this issue will be fixed in the future.
Thanks for the headsup on this. I’ll be sure to let our items folks know about the rune being soul bound. That seems odd to me!
Got another one today, still soulbound. Any progression in this?
Hall of Monuments has a POI called “Scrying Pool”. Hope that doesn’t count toward 100% completion. I can port there for being linked to at GW1 accounts. I don’t know if a way in for non-linked accounts or if you need it even.
Hall of Monuments is not included in map completion.
I’ve noticed this text bug too and hope it will be fixed soon. However you are saying that you are concerned that the accuracy text works negative for you, and as far as I know (I’ve been using it almost since release) the luck stack still stacks after you kill foes and therefore still gives you the amount of magic find. So have no fear!
Also I would like to add that magic find does not give you a better chance at chests, since chests are not affected by magic find.
I hope we’ll see this fixed soon or later.
I have ported to every zone and I have not found one that needed that extra 1 POI.
It is quite frustrating! =/What about POI near the final boss in the “The Light in the Darkness” personal story quest?
As far as I know there isn’t any PoI in a personal story quest that can’t be get without the story, also I don’t remember that there is a PoI at the end of that storyline. (Else this one can be get by completing all the area’s)
My guess is that all of you aren’t member of the Order of Whispers, and therefore never have been to the Chantry of Secrets. If I’m right you should check at the Deadend Cave PoI in Bloodtide Coast and go through the portal, you’ll find a PoI in this new area. The Deadend Cave is the first PoI directly south of the Lion’s Arch portal. (at the Deadend Waypoint and Skill Point) I hope this helps.
I got something like that today, however, after some time I got the whisper window. It seems the whisper fuction has much delay on it somehow. Didn’t encounter this before today.
I’ve heard that the event is triggered by talking to Taryn and summon the Fleshweaver. I’m not sure there is any connection, since the event that is triggered for the Fleshweaver, isn’t part of the meta event. However you could still give it a try and see what happens. Be sure that the event hasn’t run it’s course in a couple of hours. I don’t know the exact timer on the event. IF the event does not start, it would likely to be stuck.
It’s not a bug, you have equipped safe boxes, these are designed to prevent you from selling the items in this bag. Changing the bags to normal bags will give you the option from sell from this bag again.
More information about bags is found on this page:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bag
Maybe you have equipped a invisible bag. If you put your Orichalcum ore and Dust in this bag, then you will be able to right click and sell them at trading post, however you won’t see them once the trading post screen is there. Solution is to just move them to a bag that shows them in the trading post window. And just like mmmpie.4769 said, you can’t directly sell from your bank tab.
This is caused by the fact that your server has bonusses from WvW in gathering, which gives you a chance to gather more than once (or 1 more time if we’re talking about wood and mining), it can also be caused by the fact that your Guild that you are representing has a Gathering bonus, this also stacks with the WvW bonus which gives you even more chance. But remeber, it is all about CHANCE, that’s the only explaination I can give to the fact that you sometimes have it and your friend has not.
I believe they removed the achievement points from the Tinkerer Achievement (transmuting)
We are talking of only 20 points or something then, that doesn’t really explain the other 100, I didn’t really saw any difference in my achievement points. So I don’t know where this came from. :/
I hope I don’t screw up this answer, but there is no ‘items I’ve sold’ tab. There is a tab with the items you are still putting for sale, which shows the item and the amount of coin it is put up for sale, plus a button on the left to remove the item from the TP. Basically, you haven’t sold the item yet, it’s still on the TP waiting for customers.
Wrong, in this same tab you can select “Items I’ve sold” at the top of the panel. Can’t give the answer to why your money dissappeared. Are you sure you are looking in the good tab (check if you can still remove the sword then it is surely not sold yet). Else I couldn’t find out a reason, maybe a relog could fix it.
Are you sure the mail was send succesfully and not received an error message? Double checked inventory for the Item?
So yesterday I was walking around with my new guardian in Wayfarer Foothills when I discovered something. I was killing Dolyaks in Dolyak pass and they dropped the following item for me:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/641/sinew.jpg/
According to the description the Dolyak sinew could be turned into thread, my guess thread that could be used for crafting disciplines. The description also says where this could be done, Seamstress Aina. So I started to search for Seamstress Aina to turn my Dolyak Sinew into thread, I started on the Guild Wars 2 Wiki, which couldn’t help me any further, then I searched in Dolyak Pass, since I got the drop there. Also no Seamstress Aina there. I’ve searched in other lodges in Wayfarer Foothills, also no Seamstress Aina there. So then there was just one logical other place and that was the Hoelbrak crafting stations. Also no Seamstress Aina there. I also tried to give it to the heart event in Dolyak Pass, but no success either. So it seems you can’t do anything with it, then why it is said you can?
There were also some other things I found out:
• It is sold to the merchant when you use sell junk, which would be correct, since it’s a gray item.
• It also seems to only drop on the left side of the road in Dolyak pass, and not the heart event part on the right side. (See screenshots for exact locations.)

So it just seems to be junk, which may have been used to make thread in early beta’s but this feature was removed later without removing the collect item? Only logical thing to do here seems to delete the item or delete the description.
Yup this exact thing. Huge disadvantage for your team when it happens. Sucks. :/
Not only for your team, I don’t want to leave the game, but because of this bug I sometimes must.
I get stuck in loadscreens regularly after the “Lost Shores” update. It only seems to happen when respawning and not at traveling between maps.
Sigils are never bound, and they can be only bought from dungeon vendors. I think runes should be unbound, or at least account bound, like tokens
Exactly my point, but I find it also strange that the amulets that drop our soulbound too! (carrion, ramagers amulet etc.)
The dungeon reward chests sometimes reward a rune, like yesterday I got a superior rune of the monk in AC. But this rune is soulbound, and as a necromancer I’m not going to use this rune. So the only thing I can do with this rune is destroy it or sell it to the Merchant. Two things I don’t want to do, since I could use this rune better on some other professions, so why is this rune soulbound? And not at least Account Bount, or free for all?
The only place where I’ve seen this rune drop so far is AC. So if I want 6 superior runes of the monk for, for example, my elementalist. I’m limited to this profession and must get the reward chests a lot times before I eventually have my 6 superior runes?
It just feels stupid to sell a rune to the Merchant on 1 character, that you need on another character, only because you wanted to go with a different profession this time, and the character exchange is blocked by being soulbound.
Just encountered some people that were using it too, really ruins the game for me and I stopped instantly. Fix please.
I’m trying to figure out what people want here. I hear many different opinions, but all have about the same point and that is the reward for dungeons is not good enough, let’s say, not balanced enough. Let’s first define what sort of players we have in this situation. We have the players that can put a lot of time and effort into the game and players who have less time to put effort into the game.
Some players who put a lot time and effort in the game would like to get high-end dungeon gear fast, because this fits with their play pattern. Ultimately this will end in speed clearing dungeons, something ArenaNet obviously doesn’t want. Well, players found a dungeon named CoF in which they could speed clear and farm the gear, which has led to a nerf of this specific path of the dungeon, which angered most of the players who speed cleared it, especially the way the nerf was done.
Players who have less time for the game also want this gear. But these players don’t have enough time farm/grind a dungeon for let’s say 60 times. The just want to play the game in peace, get everything in time. But now, players got an unfair feeling; Why could others farm this dungeon for gear, while I have to work hard for the same gear when I finally reach the needed level? Again a point which angered some players.
And then we have ArenaNet in this matter. Like stated before, ArenaNet obviously doesn’t want that a dungeon is speed cleared; we’ve seen that with CoF. But also Guild Wars 2 tries to change the grind in MMO’s, and this is where it maybe went wrong a little bit, since people will need to do a dungeon a lot times to get the dungeon gear.
So what do we want? Well, we’ve seen different opinions in this, some say, get the old CoF back, some say, keep it this way against the farmers. Both kinds of players stated above, fighting each other.
In my opinion there need to be done a couple of new balances. First of all the reward should be higher, since the reward now can be a bitter pill for the work that’s done. But also the reward must decrease fast (Like in multiplied with 0.3-0.5) after every time done, and let’s say this resets daily (every path separated). It’s kind of how it works now, but the reward is better balanced. And why do I choose for this? Well, because this gives the casual player enough satisfaction to one explorable path on a day. And this should motivate the others enough to do another path, because the reward will be that much higher than the easier path, which results in less grind. Of course, you can’t get grind totally away, but you can reduce it a lot.
And if you look at it, there are 8 dungeons. With, correct me if I’m wrong, 25 paths. To do every path every day is a hell of a job. Of course you want specific gear from 1 dungeon, but if you are really prepared to put a lot of time in, then ultimately you will want everything by time. Also this will balance the game a little more for the people who have less time, since the biggest reward is the first.
Well, I gave hearing to my opinion, but the question still stands, what do we want? Do you agree or disagree?
Every day my feeling that he is bugged grows. I’ve posted my experience before and there are just a couple things that aren’t right and are not like Anet at all. Still what bothers me the most is the 2nd cutscene (The one with the 3 beams that sends him to his tower), just after te first one. It feels very bugged there, shouldn’t we need to power those cannons with something? Or defend Zojja while she’s powering it?
The other thing is the buttonbashing of skill 2, this totally doesn’t feel like ArenaNet at all. They nerfed this kind of things in Guild Wars 1, it just doesn’t fit the total package of Guild Wars 2.
Last of all it would be great if we heard something from ArenaNet about this fight. Is there worked on? Is it bugged? ArenaNet did an awesome job in making Guild Wars 2 and is great for the Guild Wars 2 community. Just make this great too, give us hope!
I found it strange that after the big cannon was shot at Zhaitan and destroyed by him in the cutscene, there followed another cutscene where he was grabbed at the side of the airship and driven to the tower with only the 3 eyes left. My feeling was that there was something missing in this part, what were these cannons? Didn’t we need to charge those? Was this bugged? It brings up alot of questions. And then in the end while he’s at his tower he’s casting his spells etc. which all are targeted in an area, far away from your cannons, here I had also the idea that I missed the backstab spawns for a more dynamic fight. All by all, I (and the others I did the dungeon with) had all the idea that there was a bug in the end fight, since the easiest part of the dungeon is Zhaitan.
