Specialisation: Deceiver
Profession: Mesmer
Weapon: Off Hand Dagger
Utilities: Cloaking
Mechanic Change: Flash Cloak
Background
Deceivers will focus on over whelming the enemy by vanishing from sight only to attack moments later. And by cloaking illusions as well as allies to create a feeling of misdirection and surprise. You are fighting one deceiver who vanishes then reappears as four.

Flash Cloak: Flash cloak is a new shatter skill that will stealth nearby allies for each illusion shattered for a few seconds.

Dagger
• Skill 4: Now You See Me – Stealth for a few seconds. The skill becomes Mind Stab while is stealth. Mind Stab deals a critical hit that applies confusion and dazes the target if hit from behind.
• Skill 5: Phantasmic Assassin – Summons a phantasm that shadowsteps three times attacking random enemies. When it lands it stealths it’s self for a few seconds before reappearing and attacking again.
Utility

Heal
• Fight or Flight –Stealth self and heal for X amount of seconds. If you break stealth before it expires you are healed for X amount more.
Utility
• Closed Curtain – Create an ethereal wall that hides all allies standing behind it from the enemies view.
• Flank Assault – Stealth yourself and your illusions. Resets cool down on phantasms and clone’s next attack becomes Mind Stab.
• Don’t Blink – Blink behind target and perform Mind Stab, then stealth for 3 seconds.
• Fake Out – All illusions charge in like to shatter, but no not shatter. Gain stealth for 5 seconds.
Elite
• Shattered Mirror – Summon an illusionary mirror overhead that shatters into Mirror Shards around the field. Mirror Shards grant 2 seconds of stealth and reflection to projectiles when picked up by you or allies.

More original classes?

Death Knights are anything but that. More overused and worn out.

I meant I would be posting classes that were more original. Not that the Death Knight was original. I fully understand the Death Knight has been done before, but people seem to like it. Or at least I do.

Gambler: Medium Armor

Main Hand: Cards, Pistol

Off Hand: Pistol, Dagger

Profession Ability: Slot Wheel
Activating Slot Wheel gives you the chance to ether gain boons, deal conditions or get conditions yourself. Sometimes a combination of the three.

Weapon Skills:

Main Hand Cards:
1. Draw: Throws a single card dealing damage that scales with the type of card you throw.
2. Shuffle: Spins cards around in a circle, dealing damage to enemies around the target. Combo whirl.
3. Go Fish: Cards fly out in a line and pull the target in, dealing damage.
4. Ace in The Hole: Throws a card that explodes on contact dealing AOE Damage and leaves a dark field.
5. 42 pickup: Throws cards in the air which rain down on targets in an area.

Main Hand Pistol:
1. Lucky Shot: Chain Attack: Shoots target dealing damage twice. Third attack has a chance to fire multiple or blow back creating a smoke field.
2. Quick Draw: A quick shot that can reflect projectiles back at target.
3. Trick Shot: Passes through targets granting random boons to allies and damages foes.

Dagger Off Hand:
4. Dart Trick: Throws dagger at target crippling them and applying confusion.
5. Bulls Eye: Throws dagger at target blinding them and causing bleed.

Pistol Off Hand:
4. Starting Shot: Fire gun into air granting swiftness and might to nearby allies.
5. Russian Roulette: Spins the barrel of the gun then fires, ether dealing massive damage to the target or knocking down yourself.

Healing Skill: Lucky Star which restores health and increases the chance of a positive Slot Wheel outcome.

Ult Skills Name Ideas: Coin Flip, Pay out, Dice Roll, Snake Eyes, Under The Table.

This class I have thought a lot of about. I want to build it around probability and chance. It is a gambler after all. Which all the gambling terminology the ideas for Ult skills are limitless. And the cards are a two handed ranged weapon that is both unique and fun.

The three other classes I would like to see the cards used with are the Mesmer, the Elementalist, and the Necromancer.

Mesmer using them like magic tricks and have a show magician theme to them.

Necromancer like a seer, focusing on Tarot Cards. You know 3 of swords for damage, 2 of cups for healing, the reaper for massive damage, the fool for conditions.

The Elementalist will use the cards differently. They can line up like a whip for fire. Flail out like a fan for wind. Rotate into a shield for earth. Or held between the fingers for some icy claws

Healing Skill: Feast of Pain
Remove conditions on nearby enemies and gain healing for conditions removed

So this is my Death Knight. He will focus on Conditions and Control abilities mostly through things like fear and torment. You will noticed that I threw in a new weapon, the lance. I have ideas on what the current professions could do with a weapon like a lance. They will be posted at a later time with my two other classes I am working on.

The Death Knight is something a lot of people like in other games and is familiar to most people so that’s why I started with it. More original classes and weapon ideas are coming. Love feed back so lay it on me!

Dragons Gave Gods Power?

Dais Spires.5728

So I have spent a sizable chunk of time tonight reading about the Six Human gods and the Six Elder Dragons. I read the history of the dragons and the gods. I’ve skimmed through all kinds of forums about the same subject I am about to go on about, and it’s pretty well accepted that the Gods and the Dragons have nothing in common other then their are six of them. This is mostly because the corresponding elements and magics from the dragons don’t perfectly match up. Well I am about to challenge this, so first let me state my theory.

The Elder Dragons are really old, way older then the Six Human gods. For all we know they have always been. We know that the Dragons go through cycles of “Awakenings”. Where they wake up, destroy everything they can, consuming magic as they do so, then fall back asleep. While they are asleep they leak magic back into the world. The Elder Dragons themselves while asleep are massive sources of magic that have been harnessed in the past by races like the Asura. In fact most of the races started their civilizations in close proximity to a sleeping dragon as if drawn to the magic there.

My theory is that The Gods, whether they came from the Mists, or were mortals, sought out the dragons and absorbed great powers from them. They absorbed so much power in fact that they ascended into the divine, or just became powerful beyond comprehension much like the dragons themselves. The biggest problem with this theory is that, like I said before the elements don’t match up perfectly. But that would be to assume that the gods could only absorb power from one sleeping dragon. Would it be such a stretch for them to be able to pick and choose from each dragon. It’s not like the dragons had any say over it. And we have already seen that powers can be divided up when Abaddon’s powers where divided between Lyssa and Kormir. It was basically like a power buffet, why would you only feast from one station? I think they took what they could from each Dragon and that’s what gave them their specialized abilities.

Thoughts?
