Hello! I have recently come back to the game and am looking for a guild to hang out with. I am looking for the following in a guild.
- scheduled events (guild missions, dungeon runs, raids, etc)
- regular dungeon runs/raids
- active in voice chat (Teamspeak, Mumble, etc)
- active times 5pm – 11pm Pacific
- mid to large friendly guild
- a little bit of WvW and EotM
- willing to run lower level fractals (yes I am a bit of a noob)
A bit about me:
- have played MMOs for many years (WoW, Rift, SWTOR, LOTRO, Wildstar)
- mother of 3 and wife
- work full time during the day so somewhat limited on my play time (mostly evenings when kids are settled)
- wanna be streamer (not consistent yet)
- somewhat shy at first but once I get to know you I can be pretty chatty at times
I would really like to find a home in Guild Wars 2 and prepare for the HoT launch.

Also you can craft them for free if you found the mats rather than bought them.
Why would you craft something when you could sell the mats and get more money? Mats sell way faster than most things.
Maybe my sound is low but I don’t find the planes sounds very loud and not sure how it would give someone a headache. I also somehow managed to not get the sepia tones but from what I understand it can be turned off somehow.
Last I checked it didn’t actually break the game as I had plenty of fun doing my guild missions last night with no issues. I didn’t go into WvW so can’t speak to that.
Again it is ONE day.
I am disappointed I haven’t seen the sepia tone yet. Thought the plane thing was a glitch at first (didn’t hear the sound) and relogged. Found out from guildies it was the April Fools thing.
I want to see the sepia tone thing though.
Arghhh it is one day people! There are spoilsports every year. You remember this is a game and are suppose to be having fun right? If it seriously annoys you that much, just take the day off.

Hello I have recently come back to the game (been back about a month) and I am looking for a PVE guild on the Blackgate server. I would like to do a bit of WvW here and there so a guild that also does this on a somewhat casual basis would be great.
I am looking for the following:
- patient people willing to show me the ropes in dungeons. I have done most of the dungeons/paths in the past but it has been a while and I will need refreshers. I am a fast learner though. =)
- WvW on a casual basis
- regular guild missions
- fun and friendly atmosphere
- a good sized group of active, social members. Nothing is worse then feeling like you are playing solo while actually in a guild.
I plan to be on most nights. There are only a couple nights that might be iffy because of prior commitments.
Looking forward to hearing from possible guilds. =)
Hmmm I am not sure how legendary gear would work. At least with the weapons they have special animations, can’t really do that with gear. I guess being able to change the stats on a whim would be nice though.
To be fair most of my MMO expansion experience is with World of Warcraft. I know the horror (yes I still play the game). Their expansions tend to be about $50 for the standard edition and it DOES NOT include a month or two of subscription fees.
My guess, based on other MMOs I have played, is $50-60 for the expansion.

Probably did say time is running out. I think it is just a weekend sale for PAX East just not a 24 hour sale. =)

I suspect only 1 thing – these players buy account from account sellers. I do not respect such things.I expect that player with +5k AP (maybe less) know everything about game.
Noobies with +10k AP very disappointing.
There are still people that judge player ability by AP? There are so many ways to get AP without doing dungeons, pvp, wvw, etc. Always found it amusing back when I used to play (just came back recently) when people looked for a certain AP level to get into a dungeon group.
AP is a bad measurement but its the only one we have
I am not even sure you even have that from what I read in this thread. There are people in this thread who have decently high AP that have barely or have never stepped foot into a dungeon. AP = nothing
Best way to “judge” people is to play with them. If you like the way they play, make friends and soon you will have a pool of people you know can play what you want to play. =)
Yeah that game totally needs more “twitch” people…. not.

Maybe you should take a look at the twitchchat once in a while and you will know what I mean.
In regards to Sodapoppin’s stream chat I totally agree with you but most stream chats are no where near that bad. I am all for GW2 getting more attention on Twitch but cringed when I saw Sodapoppin streaming it, the game definitely doesn’t need his viewers in the game.
Side note: Sodapoppin is suppose to be a really nice guy in real life but his online persona not so much.

I have never had that happen to me ever! I just finished leveling my 4th character this weekend and I still have a lot of the map to discover.
The issue I have with the megaserver is that they haven’t been warning us when each of the zones are converted. The last update I found was from 5 days ago and there have been zones put on the megaserver since then. A heads up would have been nice.
Make sure you are looking at your Equipment and not your Wardrobe. Had the same issue last night.
