Guild Wars 2

Hello! While I’ve had this game since release I really only got into it recently. I’ve just reached level 80 on a mesmer and I’m trying to find a guild. (Well, obviously)

I am 21 and new to MMO’s in general. I’ve played them before but I’ve only reached maxed level on one MMO before this (Tera) and didn’t play it for long after that. So dungeons and the like I will need a bit of help on. I’m a very casual player and may not be on too often. Lately I have been playing every day but I don’t know how long my schedule will allow that.

While voice communication is nice I won’t be able to do so often, maybe every once in a while but for the most part I can only chat through text so any guild requiring voice chat won’t be an option for me. I’m interested in Dungeons/Other Pve objectives, WvW and PvP groups. Also I would prefer that there isn’t a strict represent policy if possible. I am currently introducing a few friends to the game and we may wish to start our own small little guild. I have no problem representing for the most part however!

Besides that a guild who is LGBT+ friendly would be great (I’m a gay guy) and would rather not hide that fact. That being said it doesn’t have to be just LGBT+ members, just friendly is all. I’d prefer a slightly larger guild (20+ members) to a very large guild (300+). While I do like the idea of a small close knit guild I’d prefer to have it that if I’m gone my absence isn’t noticed too much. I occasionally RP (never inside an MMO so that’ll be interesting) so any RP friendly guilds are great too, but not required!

((Edit: Oh one more thing. Saturdays I most likely won’t be available often as that is usually the night I spend time with my friends. Fridays and Sundays however I will be around for the most part! Also my timezone is UTC -4 or EST))

Alright. So I know you can’t deposit money into your bank anymore because of the whole wallet update but is there still a way to split your money up into… uh… “stacks”? I want to split my money between save/free spending and the other part into investing into the trading post for flipping items and what not. Is there any way to do that?

Alright. I’ve got two questions. One related to PVP and one not so much.

The first will be the one I suspect is a bug but I’m not sure? So I bought the set of start crafting boxes from the laurel merchants and for some reason can’t open them. No matter. Double clicking does nothing and right-clicking only gives me the option to destroy them. Am I doing something wrong?

Also concerning PVP. I know this wasn’t the case when the game was first released since PVP weapons and armor were completely separated from PVE… however seeing as I haven’t played the game for a while and the fact that you now take the appearance of your PVE item set while in PVP I’m wondering. Does your PVE gear affect your PVP stats? I’m only level 74 currently and I’m going with a damage-centric mesmer and I swear sometimes I do absolutely no damage to some people even if I’ve been wailing on them for a good minute or so. Is this just because of their profession/trait build or something?
