What weapon(s) would I want to use as a Conditionmancer? Are there any specific Trait lines or skills that are really strong?

That’s what I was afraid of since I noticed there was no option to even control them, so with that in mind do you know the Conditionmancer build?

I’ve been dabbling with all the classes and in my mind I keep wanting to play Necromancers because I just love the idea, the (hopefully) DoT heavyness and the pets.

I have been reading the Necromancer forums for quite sometime and am aware of the sad/difficult state they’re in (Especially in sPvP) but that’s not too concerning to me, as I’m just leveling right now and hope that by the time I hit 80 that will be addressed.

With all of this in mind, I would like to be the cookie cutter “Conditionmancer” that I hear so much about, yet can’t find/figure out the build or a pet build, but I don’t know how viable a full pet build is.

Any feedback would be great, I’ll be frequenting this thread to hopefully get an answer asap. Thanks!

I went to be in frustration last night because of this and then it welcomes me when I log back on, curses.

Must be something they did in the patch last night because after that patch I’ve been experiencing tons of DCs and inability to log back in.

Just got disconnected and I can’t log back in, GW2 website seems sluggish too, other people having issues?

I can sometimes get to character selection but then it goes down, and attempting to connect is taking a long time too. I assume the game is down.

IQ means very little honestly. Just because you have the capacity to soak up knowledge doesn’t mean you have the patience, understanding or even willingness.

But honestly, the changes limiting an individuals ability to farm was a kick in the kitten.

This was always the mentality of ANet, I don’t know why it’s such a surprise for you.

And yes, the only reason they don’t write every little detail down in forum posts, must be because they want us to suffer and ruin the gaming experience. Clearly there must be no other reason.

It’s more like the things they don’t mention are the things that are likely to be unpopular. It seems they’re afraid of public backlash.

The forums are bad as it is. Why would they want to fuel it any further.

Besides, it’s not like players need to know everything.

By hiding unpopular changes that isn’t going to reduce player annoyance. As stated over and over, players will find this out, in fact they already have, which is why the forums are buzzing!

Knew this was going to eventually happen. These changes actually came later than I expected. The market is now flooded with gold and everyone is running around with CoF gear.

Sucks for casual players who didn’t get a chance to “exploit.” LOL

With time all the gear, gold and levels earned will be nothing but a faint memory. Many games and game expansions have random little exploits like this that people take advantage of as much as they can before the inevitable fix comes.

Vanille, are you talking about, “Added a system to limit the experience and gold that players can receive from speed-farming dungeons.” ?

If so, it’s probably not some big dungeon change, it’s probably a timer that starts after the first time completing it, and if you complete it again in X time after it’s initial completion you get it cut by Y amount.

Any person who types that in is already riddled with failure. There is no “best” there’s “best for situation A, B, C, D, ETC” This game is as complex or as simple as YOU the player want to make it. Can I run around with a Greatsword as a Ranger 1-80? I sure can! may not be optimal, but I can. However, if I really want to utilize my profession and my abilities to their full potential I swap out, I’ll read my abilities, my traits and my skills.

So, if the game seems too simple to you. If it seems like there’s just not enough meat to it, you have only yourself to blame.

OP, you realize that you complained about a “lack” of abilities (which I would disagree with since different weapon combos give different skills sets, and the “`” key adds in a chance to switch those on the go) and then complain about the abilities for some classes to use non-traditional weapons?

So you want there to be more options, but you want them to get rid of options?

As the topic states, I am a Guardian looking to join a PvP guild. I’m level 32, but that shouldn’t matter too much with sPvP.

I have a long MMO history and have been a PvPer for quite sometime. I don’t have problems filling whatever roll is needed that a Guardian can provide. I have a headset Vent/Mumble/TS3/Skype and can download whatever one, if the guild for some reason doesn’t use one of the ones mentioned above.

My characters name is Veexul and it would be best to message me/mail me in game as I’m sure I will lose this post in the sea of other posts.

So, I just hit level 11 and got my first trait point and I have no idea what to put it in. If it matters at all I’ve been running with Great Sword and Mace/Torch or Mace/Focus. I’m not sure if those are good things to run with, but that’s just what I’ve been running with.

I plan on playing mostly solo, while jumping in on events whenever they are present. Any ideas what I should put my points in to?

This disheartens me, I like Asura Guardians because I think Asura are awesome, but now I’m contemplating if I should re-roll a different race :/

So, I just got my copy of GW2 yesterday and started playing. I’ve messed around on a Mesmer, Ranger, Engineer and now just starting a Guardian.

I have haven’t that class that I just really love, Problems have been…

Mesmer: Clone/Phantasms too easily shut down
Ranger: One trick ponies, I.E. Shortbow or bust
Engineer: Same as Ranger, grenades or bust

Now I know I didn’t level cap on any of these guys this was just my short experience mixed with a fair amount of forum reading.

I really want to get into the sPvP which I hear Guardians have a strong hold in, not “OP” but strong. My concern is leveling (mostly solo) how well does that go for you higher level guys? was it teidious/unrewarding.

Yea, from what I’ve been reading the F2 has been an issue for most, but I’m sure that’ll be addressed quickly. I also keep hearing they’re great in PvE, but really haven’t heard anything for/against sPvP

I’m thinking about playing a Ranger or a Guardian, I would like to be able to level decently, but mostly I’m interested in sPvP. I understand pet management at this point needs some work, but I’m confident that will be fixed

Good afternoon Guilds Wars 2! I just purchased this game last night after seeing a friend play and watching some videos, I settled on a Mesmer after falling in love with the Phantasms and Clones.

I’m only level 6 right now but I’m just here to ask a simple question, what weapon(s) should I be using for leveling?
