Full resolve is a guild for people who want to get to know people- more than just running dungeons with them. We are small/medium sized by choice- we don’t want to grow so large that our members get lost in a sea of names. Instead, we focus on being a social community where people get to know each other and play the game together.

We are PVX oriented, meaning we partake in some of everything: from basic fractals to Story and Exploration dungeons, WvW, and sPVP, world bosses, world completion, guild events- really anything that anyone finds fun. We welcome players of all walks of life and all experience levels: be you a grizzled veteran or a shiny new player brimming with questions, we’re happy to have you with us.

For the purposes of WvW, our home server is Gate of Madness. However, thanks to the megaserver system, you can still play with people from other servers in all content except WvW. Since WvW is only a small portion of what we do, we recruit members from all servers.

In the wide field of social guilds, there are a couple things that set us apart.

• We don’t emphasize the use of voice chat- that is mumble, teamspeak, etcetera, for socializing. Rather, we talk a lot in guild chat. We believe that voice chat tends to divide a community, and at the very least excludes those who can’t or won’t use it. We have no issue with (and occasionally do) using voice do for coordination, such as when running difficult content, but it rarely turns out to be necessary.
• We don’t care much for the meta. We don’t expect our members to restrict themselves to the most popular builds or play-styles, and we don’t tell them that those are the only options when they ask. We are not surprised or irritated when people build their character in the way that best fits what they instead of the way that deals the most damage- and we don’t try to talk them out of it. Though we are not intolerant of speed runs by optimal characters, most of our guild-organized groups accept people of all play-styles and experience levels.
• We prefer to run content rather than skip it, even if this means it’s harder or takes longer. Unless otherwise stated, we do not intentionally glitch the game, run past major fights, stack, or otherwise abuse AI to avoid the intended challenges of the content we are playing.
• It’s not a joke- we really do have cookies.

As a laid back group, we don’t have much in the way of firm rules. If, however, you need to know our policies, then you may wish to review our charter, which contains a list of guiding principles. These principles are not intended to constrain the actions of our members: rather, they describe our community and drive the decisions of our officers. Mostly, these principles are either common sense or already expressed here.

Hey! I’m from Full Resolve [FuR]. We’re a social, intentionally medium-small social guild based mostly on building a strong community. We do regularly run dungeons, fractals, guild missions and spvp, but our primary purpose is our community. We’re on NA (no particular server), and mostly active during American time zone evenings/weekends.

There are two major points that set us apart from most other casual/social guilds:

• We don’t regularly use voice chat (that is, teamspeak and so on). Inevitably, some people are not able or willing to participate in such, and we feel that this inevitably divides a community. Instead, we prefer to socialize and strategize with in-game chat wherever possible.
• We don’t really care very much about the meta, or doing things in the most efficient way possible. Instead, we focus on simply playing the game. We don’t expect our members to limit themselves to meta builds, and we don’t normally run dungeons in a speedrun style. This is not to say you cannot run a meta build and stack and glitch your way through a dungeon while wearing our tag, but that we are a safe haven for people who don’t want to do that.

Full Resolve is a guild that was founded initially during the beginning of the game as a Hardcore WvW guild, but as time has gone on, people of course change, and we are now a well developed, small, friendly community… with cookies of course!

We are PVX oriented, meaning we partake in some of everything, from basic fractals to Story and Exploration dungeons, EOTM, and sPVP, world bosses, world completion, and of course guild events! New Player or old, all are welcome!

Although we do provide a guild mumble server, we don’t use it for chatting and such. Our philosophy is that guild chat should be the main form of social communication because we feel that this creates a more healthy and inclusive social environment. We provide the voice server as a service for those members who need it in order to communicate in difficult content, but this rarely ends up happening- you’d be surprised how much can be accomplished with a bit of typing.

If you are a new player in need of help, we are very very new person friendly. We are more then willing to explain things to you then most, and believe that no question is too stupid.

We try to a mindset centered around rules: just don’t be obnoxious and it won’t be a problem. You won’t be factored out for cursing, nor will we bug you on Representation. That said, we do have a couple of basic guidelines:

• We ask for 50% representation, but we try to be laid back about it. We really do believe there’s valid reasons to be in multiple guilds. You won’t be checked up on and we won’t send whispers to ask you to rep. Your privacy and the reason you’re derepped is your own business

• We do not discriminate and will not permit discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, sexual orientation or identity, gender identity or expression, religion, political leaning, and so on. Really this shouldn’t need to be specified, but we do so anyway in an effort to create a welcoming environment. You are of course still free to talk about these things so long as you do so respectfully and do not attack people.

• Be an adult about disagreements within guild. If you have a problem with someone, the LAST person you should go to is the Guild leaders or Officers. First, see if you took something out of context by reading what is said, second, talk to them yourself. We ONLY recruit nice, understanding people, so talking to them will solve issues. If THAT fails, then involve an officer or the guild leader.

• This guild does not strictly represent the Meta. We encourage people to explore the classes, stat variances, and weapon sets to find what works best for them. If you want to run strict meta only groups, we just ask that you do not advertise them in guild. You may advertise runs with entry requirements, so long as they are better justified than ‘because it’s the meta’ and you enforce them impartially. Nearly all the runs that are advertised in Full Resolve are open to all, regardless of gear or experience level.

• Be open and willing to help New players! Everyone was a new player once, and being able to give back to them is important!
