Its not fun to play at a time when another server has 3x or more players. Its not right that a server can take the whole map by having overwhelming numbers on relative to the opposition, rather than by playing well. The current design has a “snowballing” failure, where the worse the situation gets, the more demoralized the losing side is. The developer’s description seems to miss these essential facts.

Guild Wars 2 Should Go Free2Play

oh god no, don’t go free 2 play. Would make it impossible to limit the number of botters and gold farmers. We’d have unending in-game mail spam, and chat spam. Would increase the number of irresponsible jerks who hide behind anonymity. No longer any penalty whatsoever to their anti-social behavior: just start another free account. Want a decent community? Make sure everyone in it has invested in it.

Equip 2hand wpn, put offhand wpn in invis bag

When replacing weapon pair with a two-handed weapon, the offhand wpn goes into my equipment bag, where it is visible to be sold to a vendor. But I never want to sell a weapon that I previously had equipped. Would be better if it went into an invisible bag.

  • Similarly if on hero screen, drag weapon or armor off the body into inventory (but there are no specific bags on hero screen, so can’t indicate which one it is going to). Want it to go to invisible bag.

WvW usually very unbalanced numbers

I don’t mind fighting a challenging battle when the numbers are nearly equal – but when one server has three times our numbers, it is pointless. That’s what happened last nite. I know there is queueing that should limit this, but something more is needed. I can see two possible approaches (1) either give some benefit to servers with fewer people on, to partially compensate for the imbalance, (2) or when imbalance starts to grow, start giving time limit to those on server with larger numbers, so that eventually their numbers are brought back down.

Vindar's Lagoon: Save the merchants

On Maguuma – I’ve never seen this work usefully. Tried several times the past two months. Tried again today. Can kill kidnappers before they reach pirate area, but I’ve never had them drop anything useful (a key perhaps)? And stuck at 2 merchants remaining / Merchants rescued: 2/11. Can’t interact with merchants. killing pirates nearby, destroying supplies — nothing seems to have any relevance to rescuing the merchants.

If the prices are all going up, then the money made from dungeon running should also go up. Melting everything for mats becomes cost-effective, instead of just selling to the nearest vendor, right? Doesn’t this cover at least half the cost increase? Maybe the current shortage of essential mats is a situation that will correct itself…

TP "Projected Profit" should be 5% lower for comparison to vendor.

Currently it shows how much you will get if the item sells, BUT it does not subtract the listing price. This is misleading, easy to think is better to sell on TP than to vendor, in cases where this is not so. Example: List item for 1 G, listing fee is 5 S and if it sells another 10 S is subtracted, for profit of 85 S. But what is shown is 90 S. Suppose vendor would give you 87 S. Would be better (by 2 S) to sell to vendor, even though “Projected Profit” of 90 S sounds better than vendor price of 87 S.
This 85% of listing price is also the number you want to know when crafting an item, for comparing to the costs you spent on the ingredients, to determine whether you can make a profit on the item.
