Your lies are structured in a way that is extremely similar to the LS event, terrible.
Game ran just as bad on highest and lowest settings without anything running in the background (4 constant frames), because ANET can’t afford decent PCs (in their case, servers), I agree with you on that part of “not being able to afford PCs”.
It also ran just as bad after an hour when my PC started running with no trouble at all, a music streaming website, with 18 other tabs on the RAM hungry Chrome, with the maxed out “actually enjoyable” WoW at 60 constant frames, while this garbage was being kept in the background running at 4 frames in itself.
I hope you are still actually interested in the game and you’re still able to enjoy it, despite this failed attempt at trolling (nope, you are not smarter than the average person on this forum), because for me this event ended any reason I had for keeping it installed or checking it from time to time, it was terrible and disgusting in any way, shape or form. Following all my friends that gave up on it a looong time ago.

One-Time events are awesome, the only thing needed is a better solution for bringing them to all timezones.
There’s an extremely simple solution for that.
They are going to get negative responses either way, so they should focus on actually making things doable for every time zone and that is easily achievable by locking server migration for the duration of the event and introducing the events at certain, different hours, for every region, that way servers wouldn’t melt because of all the players going at it, at the same time (that means better performance for everyone), people won’t benefit and abuse from transferring to regions that are just about to start the event and some people won’t have to wake up at 2-5 AM in the morning to participate.
Personally I had no problem with the timing, but the servers aren’t capable of sustaining such events at the same time and I see how it can be a huge problem for lots of people that simply can’t participate due to time differences.
Funny you mentioned go back to WoW and then said “never done before”…yeah it was done before, in WoW, during TBC, also an exclusive event that, hint, hint, opened the doors to a certain raid.
Now back to GW 2, this event pretty much contained all that is bad in GW 2, then made it worse, I like the content, the new zone and the new dungeon, the event itself however was absolutely terrible and I hope we don’t get anymore free content if this is what we’re going to get.
Since it’s you, I’ll tell you something else that is funny, after 1 hour of grinding in this terrible event that makes Orr look like an amusement park (it’s actually enjoyable and you go there to simply farm and maybe for a dungeon), I actually went AFK, alt tabbed and continued to have fun playing WoW, so you were actually on to something there.
