We are from the UK, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden, Germany and Syria looking for players anywhere over the world. The criteria is rather simple; friendly, mature (not in age but in personality) and social players who are looking to have fun with a group of players rather than need to win.

I envision DoB to be social friendly guild and to do at least one group event a week (non-compulsory – always) like WvW, PvE, PvP tournaments etc.

Anybody from anywhere is welcome to join our multicultural guild. We also have a couple of officer places open at the moment for experienced players who would like to take up some small responsibility in the guild. We are growing quite steadly and the future looks promising. I personally believe a steady rate of expansion is much better in the long term than an explosion of players. Joining a guild of strangers is never fun.

Issue: I am just wondering whether the guilds which were lost then reappeared will ever get their influence back before the bug or even influence transferred from the temporary guild created in those few days?

While it might be difficult to do so without proof, I have screenshots of the influence before we lost it and of the influence of the temporary guild. They add up to over 1,000 (which isn’t huge amount but we are quite small so it is a big deal). A simple tome of influence would do the job.

Or should I just assume that 1000 is lost due to the bug?

I have some good news. We found a common problem across a lot of the guilds, and we wrote a tool which will loop over them and fix them up.

We tested it on a couple of guilds first and PM’d the people who contacted me about them.

This fix will help people whose guilds have totally disappeared – and we think that it won’t help everyone who is in this situation. But based on our reports, it should help most people in this situation.

The tool will take about an hour to run over all of the guilds (there’s a LOT of guilds :-).

Please let me know whether your guild re-appears after an hour or two. And accept my apologies in advance if yours isn’t one of the majority which we expect this to fix.

PS This won’t fix other guild-related problems, just ones which have disappeared. We’ll fix the other problems too, I just wanted to focus on the most serious problem first.

Thank you, my guild has be reappeared too. However just a small question, will we be reverting to the amount of influence before the bug which made the guilds disappear? As some of our members could still see the guild (albeit it had it’s name changed but everything else – roster, influence, tag was the same) we managed to get screenshots of the amount of influence.

Also as I setup a temporary guild during the time is there any way of influence transfer or will the past few days of been a waste (only in terms of influence – of course playing GW2 is never a waste :P)

Interestingly another of our members (2/11) can see the original guild. Everything is exactly the same except it is now called ‘Tangram Rabbit’. I cannot see it despite being the GM.

We have screenshots to show if needed.

Had a quite strange update regarding my missing guild. The guild went missing on Tuesday and all our members but one could see it, he reported that everybody was still in the original guild but nobody was representing. Then on Wednesday another of our members realised he could see the original also. However it was not correctly named.

The tag [DoB] was correct; upgrades, message of the day and roster correct. However it was named something Rabbit?

Problem: Guild completely disappeared. Gone from list and all members out of a guild. Lost roster, members and all upgrades.

Mine disappeared completely from the guild list. Just all gone.

Logged into today and my guild has quite literally disappeared. Everything had gone for everybody. Lost all upgrades and 2/3 of the members who I can’t remember their username perfectly.
