Another vote for FRIDAY! Thanks!
As many have noted.
I would like to see the return of many Original Guild wars creatures from all campaigns, this is part of the flavor that made the world of Guild wars. Such as Hydra, Dryer, many of the common Tyrian Undead, Gargoyles, Forgotten, Constructs, The Mursaat, Rot and Fungal wallows, Siege Turtles, Kurzick Juggernauts, Oni, Wardens(Wardens so very much have a place of much lore in relation with sylvary,) ect. The Guild Wars 2 world is lacking in the richness of the different mobs that were not included. They were very much a core of the game and its heart and appeal.
Enemy AI , I would love to see revamped across the board., especially in the core regions and dungeons.
Enemies with intelligent groupings and designs, group builds able to focus down profession types ect, based in threat levels. Enemies who will retreat to other friendly enemy groupings for back up. Surprise spawn groups that spawn based on triggers.
Enemy based off of player group builds and designs such as we saw in EOTN. There is no reason the in game mobs should not benefit from the meta.
Very profession oriented enemies that actually represent the player classes and skills, but with their own mob skills.
HoT is a definite trend towards a better direction with mob designs.
Bring back the Queens Pavilion and incorporate the Mursaat, they should have been the centerpiece of the pavilion.
All core areas of the game need to have the mobs re skilled and balanced to take advantage of the new technology and make those areas challenging again. Include some of the new Mob types that were classic Guild wars creatures in their proper regions.
Over all I think you guys are on track and headed in the right direction design wise when it comes to mobs! Just get some more of what makes Guild wars Guild wars back in there.
*Added thoughts I missed:
Ice elmentals should be immune or even healed by cold damage
Fire elementals should take no damage or even be healed by fire damage
Cold damage should do bonus damage to Fire eles and vice versa, this would be true for many different mob types. Such as Vampiric type mobs should receive healing from bleeds but be weaker to "Light, type damages Such as Guardian Symbols retaliation ect.
The is a WHOLE MEGA BOAT of mechanics that have been missed straight away by this that could add so much more depth to the game, new modifiers or type of gear stats and addons, infusions ect. So much is missing here. There is so much depth that could be added to Riads, and future expansions this way through the means of ascended gear and modifiers.
Are there reasons this stuff is missing? Are these things we may ever see return to the game, design roadblocks to all of this stuff, or was it just deemed to difficult for new players?

Well, I would, but.. lol you know.
I’m curious about the previous skins that people have already traded in. everyone who used them already are just going to get gypped out of the ability to make a boatload of money that people who held on to them or who just got them have the opportunity to make money from them? I don’t see it as very fair, but, life isn’t fair i guess. Is there any system prepared to reimburse the ones who already used them because they were account bound and just taking up space? I am one of the ones who used them to free up space and hope there is a plan for us. I can accept it if nothing is done. I can assure you though it will just reinforce the fact I wont be getting any more RNG items from anet. I don’t mean that as a threakittens just a system that hasn’t proven very equal or fair. At the least I would like to see where the skins we have purchased/unlocked in the past are made available account wide to use on other characters. Might be asking too much I don’t know. Throw us a bone here.

I agree with OP, and I have said basically the same thing in other threads. Dungeons have been a turn off for many and there isn’t really anything else in the PvE world that encourages people to communicate. It was the same thing I felt when I played SWTOR, and that is that the game is mostly a single player experience with other people around doing their own thing.
exactly
I have found buying any armor for the purpose of the appearance before you reach lvl 80 is pointless anyway unless you plan to spend a fortune in t-stones. within 4 levels the armor is obsolete anyhow, weapons aswell.
I have to agree, the Karma highway is the best 80 toons have to look forward too. We need more endgame cntent, heck we need endgame content period!
lmao You people want to keep pulling that “One experience” thing I have repeatedly said, ITS NOT JUST THE ONE EXPERIENCE! It has been by far 99% of my experiences with RPrs in GW2 were bad, I see other people in game and on forums saying the same thing, so ignore the problems and issues your fellow RPrs cause but it still reflets on all RPrs because in many cases that the only interactions un Non Rprs get with you!
Little thing: Not being able to preview equipment from marketplace.
Not so little thing: Inability move and resize UI pieces like you could in GW1.There’s tons more both positive and negative, but I’m too tired to think of anything else now. Little things are after all small things that are easily missed or forgotten and when you spot something like that, you go either oh neat, or oh bummer and then probably forget whole thing in couple hours. At least I do with many things sadly. :/
I completly endorse this message!
Well I will say, without buying armor off the TP, the personal story rewards are normally crappy compared to what im wearing. But then I normally keep mobs about 5 levels higher than that of my toon, seem to get better drops that way too.
I cant seem to break 1 gold for having to go back to low areas at 4 silver and 65 copper a pop. Then 1 silver and x copper per map in the zones with them. Im not saying anet should pay us persey, Im saying incintive, like rare drops off the lowbies, crafting materials or something. something better than half your level armor and weapon drops to help pay the fuel bill. I think you may have missed what im trying to say I guess, or I put it wrong. Im not looking for a reward to help, just soemthing in the way of drop incentives to help make up the cost of gear repairs and waypoint mapping.
Jack Of Tears, well Like I said there was the one guy whom I wont name, he was awesome, causual and interesting. unfortunatly he seems or feels to be in minority.
To the misfortune of RPrs who seem to be on the level, I think by far more players are running into the bad eggs instead of the good seeds.
Feycat if you read up I did mention the guild lol. It was OPO in that specific instance. But that was just an example, I have had more encounters with them than just the one, and so have others, and unfortunatly it puts you instantly on the defensive when you see any RPrs because you just dont know what to expect. Causes and uneasy feeling now everytime.
Oh thats what I did, lol I just spent ingame gold to buy the toon slots.
Here I go with the waypoints thing again. I have guildies in low level areas who need help, an escort, help on personal stories, ect ect and so on. On my level 80 ranger it costs almost 5 silver for me to go back there. This sure doesnt urge people to go back and do stuff to help lower level players. One night before I realized it, mapping around helping guild members I has spent 50 or so silver. Something has to be done. There needs to be some kind of incintive and finacial reward to counter the costs.
Problem with that ThiBash, is that this scheduled “Reserved” event was in a public area on public server areas where NORMAL people are going to be in and out constantly merching, why should normal players have to make special arrangements just to PLAY the game, use the merchants, start events? Thats the snobbery and elitism I am talking about EXACTLY!
Im just saying right now, I dont think this will end in a good way for the Role Playing community as they currently are, and it sure doesnt help their interactions with the game community, it tarnishes their reputations, makes people look down on them, they RPrs are classing themselves in a negative image to the general population who plays the game. Its not gonna end well. There seems to be some heavy organization behind these groups, their leaders need to come out into the game community hold some public relations events, introduce themselves, teach people ect. Instead of just being pushy bullies. If the Role Players continue down this path, I can see them starting to get bans and suspensions, This is a new game and they want to to be more friendly to a majority of players, People who interfere with that wont last terribly long. Its just Good Public Relations on NcSoft and Anets part to ensure the game is friendly to all. Sometimes that means bans for people.

I agree, the current guild upgrade system makes life hard on smaller guilds who dont have aspirations of becoming large. maybe they could base the costs on a percentage based on current members? No that would be easily abused… dont know the answer. Maybe they can just reduce the costs of the basic guild services to make them easier to afford for smaller guilds.
Well sorry, I personally dont participate in PvP in any way. I dont like constant random Duel challenges other games offer. Maybe they can add an arena of some sort.
I dont feel its the small instances of calling people trolls, it adds up. Its happened to more than one, just read map chat in these areas, I think its causeing an unfriendly environment, I am pretty sure the dev team has said clearly multiple times, they dnt want an unfriendly environment. Make tavern/lodge/ect instances for them.. simple.
I can definatly say, I would have considered myself a newcomer interacting with the one guy in the lodge. I was interested, he was teaching me how to say and do, whats polite and not. Then OPO comes along and refuses to acknowledge or help, only to tell me to shut up and to leave. So my “newcomer” experience lasted about 30 mins. I would pretty much say im done and am not for the RPrs.
I actually agree with Blue, have a whole guild full of people and everyone goes on doing their own thing. There is no advantage to having a party in this game other than group events, world events, and bosses. Being in a party can actually hinder you when it comes to hearts, if you are the type who does them quickly, you end up standing around waiting. Im sure this will get adressed at somepoint,
The problem is once you reach 80 there isnt much to do. there isnt much 80 content, they promise that is coming though. thus far, I can see no point in bothering to level another toon to 80 so im just trying all the other professions randomly, paitiently waiting.
Well, I have to say thus far my experiences with the role players has not been very good. I have since began to block them, and avoid areas of the game where they hang out. My numberone issue was the snobbery and elitism that I ran into in the queens forrest. There was a role playing fellow tending bar there in the lodge. He was a quite pleasant chap and was entertaining because he added a certain element to the game. An interactive “npc” of sorts welcoming people and striking up conversations. Not being a RPer I did stay around a while and intereact with him, unfortunatly after some time, a RP guild showed up and basically told him they had reserved the tavern on some forums somewhere, on some obscure site that 99% of GW2 players have no knowledge of. They informed him that he had to go away because it wasnt “His Turn” He gracefully left and soon came back on another toon to join the “Play” As I stood there, in the lodge, where EVERY player who enters the area can start and event with the lodgemaster to fight the champion boar, I continued to attempt to converse with these “Rude” RPrs who basically told me to shut up, if I didnt like to go somewhere else. Well thats nice and all but that area has a heart and dynamic event. I think they need to add some instances that these RP people can go into and not bother the people who actually play. At this point, in my opinion the RPrs, at least these I am speaking of, are just wasteing server space that people who actually want to play the game could use. Short of banning RP, They need to be given areas they can go in an instance where they wont bother people or interfere with events, or even other people who are trying to be friendly.
The snobbery and elite air these guys put off turn most actual players off and that in turn is going to drive away paying customers. It was ok and tolerable at first because it was isolated taverns in towns and such, but now its becoming of plauge purportions and you can easily run into them in any explorable at any structure, near hearts and events, sucking up bandwitdth, causeing extra lag, scaleing bosses and events higher in difficulty. I understand they paid for the game just like everyone else, but at theses taverns and lodges and like places, add an instance they can go in please. pretty please, this is a way to solve the issues and satisfy both sides of the coin.
Otherwise normal players are gonna start leaving the game, its really becoming a nusance, worse than a burrow of Skritt!
Im sure I’ll get blasted in the usual overbearing manner the RPrs exhibit, but I know some others out there must be feeling and thinking the same thing. so for all its worth… Just sayin’
BTW these Role Players WERE OPO
