Hi guys,

I’ve been playing and testing 2 Meditation builds in WvW the last days, but can’t decide which one is “better”, so I need some advice

1) GS / Sw-F

2) GS / Hammer

Sw/F has nice mobility and burst power while Hammer has more control. If I manage to trap an enemy with Ring Of Warding + Judge’s Interv. —> Symbol of Wrath + Whirling Wrath = gg. If the enemy cant block my attacks, there’s nowhere for him to run. Sw/F has a teleport + Zealot’s Defense, which gives a nice burst if it lands, but most enemies just dodge and run out of range and I have problems chasing them.
So what do you guys think?

Hm, nice idea, I’ve never thought of Sword/Shield…
Sword has a little lower DPS than Axe, but the leap is really nice. The only question is if Flurry is “better” than Eviscerate…

right now I am running a GS/Rifle build in WvW. I want to try out Axe/Shield because I like the playstyle, but I dont really know which weapon set to swap out for…
GS offers great mobility, what’s very important in WvW. Since the warrior doesnt have any stealth/teleport skills, GS is the best option here I guess.
Rifle on the other hand is nice in ranged fights. If I go full melee with GS+Axe/Shield , I would be in disadvantage against ranged classes. So I need some advices which weapon sets to use in WvW.
What do you guys think? Stick with GS/Rifle? Change to GS+Axe/Shield? Or Rifle+Axe/Shield?

Thx for your hints theblankcalendar, I also thought about using Mantra of Recovery for perma swiftness. But since I can only activate it twice, the healing effect is simply too low for me. I need to pre-cast the mantra and always need 1sec to activate it. That could be dangerous against strong enemies…

But this is a PU-build and I concentrate on fast CDs , so there’s no space for Interruption. If you enjoy Interruption, I would suggest a 2/6/6/0/0 Mantra build. Good luck!

I dont care about wvw infusion that much. What I want to know is if there’s a noticeable difference between exotics and ascended weapons now? For Zerker gear, at least there’s a 3-5% power-up compared to exotics. But I dont know how it works on condition damage?

I’m running a condition engi with grenades and full rabid gear. Now that kits get a power-up, I consider crafting ascended weapons. What do you guys think, is it worth it for condition damage? Do I get more “ticks” or can I save my money?

I consider crafting a legendary for my thief, but I’m not sure if enemies in WvW could see my footsteps while I’m stealthed. I already searched for related topics but there are many different oppinions and nobody was 100% sure about that. So I want to ask if anyone of you already have any experiences with this matter? Would be nice to know that before spending weeks of grinding for it
