What can Trading do that TP can’t?

What can restaurants do that take-away food can’t?

Direct trading lets players save 15% in the cost of transactions, allows human interaction with other players, allows crafters to suggest items that casual players might not even know about, and which might be useful to them, improves the RP aspects of GW2 (which was advertised with the line “Putting the RPG back into MMORPG”), allows sellers to link items so that buyers can actually preview them, and so on.

Most MMOs have at least 3 forms of trading (face to face, CoD mail, and a marketplace / AH / TP).

It’s strange (to say the least) that a game trying to be as “social” as GW2 doesn’t have any built-in support for direct trading between players (or, at the very least, CoD mail), and instead tries to push everyone towards a totally impersonal (and broken – still no preview after 8 months of public access!) alternative like the trading post.

They don’t want you to save gold that’s why wp cost so much too because if you need go ld you’ll buy gems which gives them money

yeah, of course i agree with you, maybe i didn’t express it well, all i want to do is preview skins with the toon i’m playing with without loggin out, change character preview the armor and so on…

Oh ya totes. Yeah I feel like there are a few of these features missing that are no brainer that aren’t in the game like:

Dungeon finder … Or why is it so hard to leave WvW you have to find the instance and walk out lol? Just let me right click and leave.

i think truth is most of us can craft/buy/farm gear with the stats we want easily, but we play very hard to get just that skin that is perfect for us

you could always just ask someone where they got it? The only thing inspection really does is enforce elitism .

That’s ridiculous … What if I want to quietly look at the stats on something. This is not a difficult thing I’m asking for and I think most people are on my side of the line on this one.

You guys cater to the casual player yet there is no party matching system for the game which would save a massive amount of time.

The grind is long and yet the gear is hideously ugly. This makes the grind far less enjoyable.

This is how people know what they want to buy. Most people actually care more about the look than the stats.

I really wish I could inspect other players. Games like anything else are viral and in the past many of the reasons I either started playing a class or ran a particular dungeon is because I saw an item on another player I wanted so I did the research to find out where it came from.

pros:

- I love the art style
- I love the graphics
- I love the style of game play including PVP
- I love the gem shop
- I appreciate the amount of detail put into season events
- questing is unique and I like the events

cons:

- I would like it if sPVP gear were more attractive
- I don’t feel like there is enough gear to work towards in this game
- I feel like dungeons may be too difficult in general they don’t seem like an enjoyable pastime
- I really wish i could war my sPVP gear outside of the mysts
- I would appreciate more endgame content

if you infraction this post I’m quitting the game… this is not complaining this is feedback which you should want from your player base.

GS does not do more damage when you consider you have to stand still to hit your target…. Who’s going to sit still for that in PVP? No one. GS is also really awkward gameplay it has zero flow… There are only two useful attacks … One that roots you (fail) and one that requires to clicks and sends you flying in one direction(fail) … The other is a charge that a baby could move away from (fail).

Double axes is so so much better it’s gameplay is fluid and there is a great finishing move. Couple that with bulls rush the utility that roots people in place and it’s GG. I’ve gotten 12k eviscerate crits before.

Yes, it’s not even a contest. Unless you’re traited awkwardly, the GS traits, plus the high crit + the crit dmg % easily surpasses Dual Axe.

It’s pretty simple unless you have some strange bias towards Axe over GS. The Auto attack damage of an Axe is higher than the autoattack of the GS. Traited GS gains 10% damage through Slashing Power, 20% lower CDs from Forceful Greatsword and Might on Crit. The time it takes for that Axe auto attack to finish putting out its dmg, 100Bs would be done, followed up by a Whirlwind. 6.5 seconds later you’re ready for another 100Bs, while it’s on CD, I like to swap to something else, like Axe for the auto attack or mainly a longbow to use the Adrenaline on something worthwhile. Combustive Shot>Arcing Arrow>(filler if needed) then switch back to GS (making use of Fast Hands -5sec weapon swap CD) and repeat the process. The terrible burst of the GS is halfway a boon depending on your traits. I run Berserker’s Power and Heightened focus for an additional 12% more dmg and 9% crit as long as Adrenline is at stage 3 which it always is if I never swap to my offhand due to how unappealing GS’s burst skill is.

I like GS, I like 1HD swords more because it fits my personal idea of what I’d like my Warrior to do, but I’m also not regurgitating the strange self loathing Warriors have of other GS Warriors because it’s “cookie cutter”. Even stat wise the GS is comparable to a dual wield Axe of the same Prefix. Pearl Berserker’s GS is 179 power, 129 Precision and 9% crit vs 2X Berserker Pearl Axes at 180 Power, 128 Precision and 10% crit.

At 400/400 Armorsmith/Weaponsmith I have my Swords, GS, Axes as exotic. I’ve tried them all under very many different situations and none of the weapon loadouts cover every goal of gameplay perfectly, but for overall PvE general gameplay/farming the GS beats the Axe in kill time.

It is BETA client. Instead of complaining, please get directX dialog from Windows and its equivalent from MAC (no idea if they have one) and provide them.

Direct X is windows dude that’s why open GL would have been the way to go for Arena net. Open GL engineers are much harder to come by because it’s more difficult to code…

In the future please use Open GL and develop your games for both mac and windows …. if you want to takle large gaming companies like Blizzard than this is a no brainer. You can windows fanboy all you want but the fact remains mac has outsold windows for the past 7 years and will continue to do so. So you might as well embrace it.

I’m using a brand new macbook pro retina display 2.6 GHz i7 16GB RAM …. i get half the frame rate on my mac that i do on this same laptop bootcamped…

there’s something wrong with this picture why do i feel like they just wrapped their game in a wine skin or something… this isn’t a real port or the performance wouldn’t be this terrible.
