Stacks and duration could be by player, them they could calculate the tick based in the current player status. Like a normal hit would do, without snapshot.

The main problem with necro is we only have 1 viable build to PVP. I would love to be capable to PVP as power. I really think if siphon health was based in % and hits bigs numbers Power would be an option in PVP.

But I still love my necro

Too much OP? What does that even mean?

As it stands, Deathshroud has no numeric value, so assuming that it would do an excessive amount of damage is a premature notion.

And how can it only work against other necros?

I like this idea, perhaps if it locked lifeforce gain for a short while to prevent spamming (it can be quite easy to generate life force) it might be balanced.

+1 for sure.

Ok, sorry the confusion, let me explain:

  • A spell that use all our life-force in a single shot would be too much overpowered or will be too much underpowered.
  • A Life force burn spell would be pointless.

First time I read the topic I was confused what cause tehdirtyfivethirty was talking about

Love my Necro. I know we could be better here and there, but some things comes with time.
Played as necro and warrior in GW1, here I have a necro and a warrior 80. My Warrior is realy Stronger then my Necro, even my necro having better gear, but necro is SO MUCH FUN.

life siphon is fine the way it is, gives moderate health and is on low cool down. we don’t need evade for ds, it’s already beast, only downside is its slow and long cool downs. I wouldn’t mind minions on f2, but not attack and follow give us a different mechanic like the other classes.

Sorry was supose to say siphon health, it scale so bad. If it was % of damage would scale better. That would make power build more viable in PVP.

I don’t do Fractal lvl 30+, but 3 necro friends told me DS is useless in this levels, so i thought about 20% evade. Would fit with the animation

Well I think that everyone else agree that necro are a bit weaker then other classes. I could make a new complaining topic about it, or I can make a suggestion Topic.

So, here goes some suggestions to balance Necromancers:

Axe

  • Make axe cleave, I don’t need to explain why, right?

Siphon Health

  • Make it as a % of damage and with higher numbers, that way we can benefit from crits. That would make power build more viable, we need to get close to dps as power, with this we could survive a little more.

Death Shroud

  • Make a 20% chance to evade attacks in Death Shroud, we are suppose to soak damage, this would help a lot in fractals and WvW.

Minions

  • Give us F2 (Command Attack) and F3 (Follow Me) when minion trait equipped.

I’d also like to suggest an ability that removes conditions; although we are capable of transferring conditions to our enemies the skills that do this have very long cooldowns and one often finds oneself after an encounter having killed everything but still getting downed because you have poison/bleed and no enemies to pass it on to.

How about Consume Conditions? Best heal in the game. Or Well of Power?

We have Deathly Swarm and Plague Signet that riquires target. Thats a LOT remove conditions spells.

Give us a weapon with cleave!

Don’t think axe damage needs to be buffed at all.

Just make #1 hits 3 targets and #2 hits 5 targets. That would be realy nice both in PVP and PVE.

Can we nerf protection and buff toughness?

Just think toughness should reduce crit chance against you. Not too much of course.
