How about you read what i wrote before quoting me? “Don’t bother buffing meaningless traits that are still less effective then what’s already being used”..Please explain to me how you interpreted that as me saying there hasn’t been ANY buffs or fixes?
Their changes changed nothing. What’s “meta” is still “meta” because their buffs are inadequate and weak.
The points of buffs is to take something that isn’t used and put it in line to what is currently in use, contrary to popular belief.
Buffing something that’s already used just becomes powercreep
Jesus…that’s exactly what I was saying the whole time. Their buffs were too weak and inadequate to put those less used skills in line with what is being used. Hence; “Their changes changed nothing. I’m not sure if you’re trying to pad your post count at this point..either way I’ve said my piece and I’ll leave it at that.

Never had a problem killing mobs.
Couldn’t agree more. Classes should have weaknesses(some barely do) but not obvious delete buttons. Revs have more weaknesses then any class..perhaps they would’ve been justified if they actually stuck with their original design of the class but they didn’t. They scrapped the whole idea and left the weaknesses with zero compensation. The few ways we have to deal with these weaknesses are all pathetically weak and resource expensive. Effectively keeping us from doing anything meaningful in a fight when we actually get any kind of pressure.

and the reason that the range of Hammer #2 works out like that is because it follows the ground. Which is entirely intentional and I can almost certainly guarantee that you’ll never be able to CoR people on opposite sides of a cliff.
So if I’m on the Battle of Kylo map in PvP and I’m standing on the ledge facing mid cap point where my target is only maybe 400 range away from me…. you’re saying it’s INTENTIONAL that my Hammer 2 ability is unable to hit him?
Is that supposed to be a joke? Even if you measured the distance of the ledge down, the distance across, the ledge up and the final range to the center it wouldn’t even come CLOSE to be 1200 range.
So it’s INTENTIONAL that my skill is broken and doesn’t work? Really? You sure about that?
I mean…what are you suggesting? That it should dive down the cliffs/ledges or whatever and then climb back up some other mountain again? As you stated yourself its not a projectile. Should it work on things like ramps,
stairs and whatever objects are suppose to be walked on..probably. And i agree that this is wonky for a lot of ground moving skills. Even mob skills behave this way(Trashers in SW). However you’re asking for way too much if you think it should chase your target down cliffs and ledges, good luck getting that changed. Just look at the skill animation and the tooltip, it seems quite logical to me that its cancelled if it reaches a cliff/ledge.
“Slam the ground with your hammer, creating a cascading eruption of energy”, you’re not casting Artificially Intelligent Heat-Seeking Torpedoes. More like a wave/burst of energy which happens to travel just beneath the ground.
You’re ofc entitled to your own opinion. All I’m saying is that i disagree with your logic if you believe it should climb up and down mountains for you.
Tbh I’m just happy rev is getting an elite spec that actually requires skill, herald was BS. All passive boon spam , get out of jail free heal, the perfect combo for unskilled players!
Base rev is where it’s at, if you think it sucks then you just don’t know how to play the class. And this seems like it follows the same design principles as base rev. Super excited for it.
..I mean…yeah its passive but you do have active abilities on those upkeep skills as well. Base rev doesn’t suck but its not as effective in most of the game modes. People have actually done the numbers on these things. Being “boring” or “unskilled” doesn’t matter if you’re interested in min/maxing. I would think most people that aren’t strictly doing open world pve are. That being said, would i want to see a legend that’s competitive with Glint? Hell yes…Am i convinced it’ll be Kalla? Hell no.

Its a massive buff no doubt..in fact its so good that I’m almost certain you’ll never find a trait that lets you share it. It’s atm the sole reason I’m still a bit excited for Kalla.

What are you planning on doing with it? Don’t see why you’d want to use shield for any reason other then “I like the look of it”
For regular world PvE go -> http://qtfy.eu/build/revenant and scroll down to Power Rev, then swap out Jalis for Shiro and you’re pretty much set. Don’t bother with the fancy sigils/foods/ascended if you’re doing regular PvE. Full exotic zerk and you’re good.
I plan on using it for durability since it does have some nice healing skills. I might also use the glint stance to support allies in events and wvw/pvp
Ah i see..thats fine. Well the Glint stance is pretty much always good in any game mode. The weapons you want to use tho are all power weapons so whichever game mode you’re in you’ll be ok with the build shown in the link. Altho for WvW you’re gonna want more defensive stats. Just an fyi OP none of the mainhand sword skills are worth using unless..
1. You use #2 “inside” the enemy forcing all 3 projectiles to hit him(workaround to your issue).
2. You need the evade frames of #3.
Everything else is a damage loss.

A jack of all trades…..more like a jack of 2 trades due to the legend mechanic. Actually more like a “Jack of 1 trade” cuz you’re gonna be sitting in Herald/Shiro, Mallyx or Ventari depending on your game mode and build; Power, Condi or Healing.
Edit: waaaaaaait a minute….I want to be a Master of 1 trade not the Jack of one….hold on i know how to fix this; “Revenant the Jester of all trades”

Borderline Garbage > Everything else
Doesn’t make for a very good expac seller now does it? Get it sorted ANet unless your goal is for those 0.1% of Revs that raid to be the only ones ever swapping into it.
