I’ve ready it could be memory, and that Windows ‘superfetch’ may stop the memory required for the game going to GW2.

Thanks – I hope it’s not the HDD as it’s still got over 1TB of space, however, other games on the HDD don’t experience this at all. What makes me think it’s all is sometimes the in game ping goes to over 3,000, but I wouldn’t expect the HDD to be processing at the time?

I’m having a bit of a weird issue with GW2, when I’m in HoT areas or in high character areas such as world bosses, I get what look like lag spikes in the game, where the game freezes for a few seconds (up to 7-10 sometimes!), but when it happens, I can see my CPU light going crazy as if it’s loading and that’s why it’s freezing. I have what I would think is a relatively top spec PC (i7-4790k CPU, 4GHz, 8GB memory and a GeForce GTX 980) and no other games are having issues. I even lowered the graphics to check and that hasn’t worked. Is it just lag spikes, or is this an issue that is fixable?

Ahh yes, you are right, just to distinguish that the WP is in a different area and is lower level.

It is the one west of Lowland Burns, but it’s not a terrain feature (see this attachment), it’s now not there. They change quite a bit.

I couldn’t find this on a google search: on the map, sometimes the way points have a little chevron next to them, do you know what this means – is it something to do with a full map?

I don’t seem to have any trouble (new level 80 necromancer over the last few weeks). I find power mancers good for pve, with dagger and focus, and staff
