Any ideas?
Oh yeah! Good spot Catsia! That makes.. 32 different experiences + the 9 (not 10, I counted Mistlock Observatory previously) fractals, 41 different experiences!
The question should be “Do you think that Guild Wars 2 was worth $60 (£49.99)?” and I reckon the majority would say yes.
OK. I shall. It’s different because you’re not gonna get the same armour, different games. Also, you don’t think to yourself, “Hmm.. I’m going to get a legendary right now. I’m not going to enjoy the world ArenaNet has given me!” You play the game, legendary weapons being eventual and gradual items, not instant.
Guild Wars 2 has 9 dungeons, Fractals of the Mists has 10 Fractals currently (with more to be added soon), all with scaling difficulty. That technically makes 18 dungeons. 18 dungeons to enjoy, that’s choice.
Reystar, you’re whining about grinding when as far as many of us on this Forum is concerned, World of Warcraft is the biggest load of grind.. ever…
Come on! You’re moaning about no new content, you can’t even wait a month between each new release of updates?! If you’re so bored and have never been bored of WoW ever, over the past 5 years, go back to playing that. I’m sure no-one on your allegedly empty server shall miss you.
Play as a panda in WoW, great new content right there waiting for you! YAY! ..*
*sarcasm intended.
I agree, just imagine an item like Anomaly (it usually glows purple/pink), glowing a different colour to match your armour… or Twilight… asdfghjkl…
I’m certain that in the future, ArenaNet will introduce this. It seems quite odd that they left the feature out, especially when it was quite popular in Guild Wars 1!
Using W,A,S,D is awkward Onshidesigns, because you’re probably just terrible at using W,A,S and D.
In Malchor’s Fingertips, the Vista is of terrible design. The path up the rock to get up to the Vista is poor. You cannot see where you are meant to jump, therefore your character slips repeatedly, and this isn’t fun. I’m not sure whether this is down to poor design or intentional (which I find difficult to believe, as it is so bad), but it is basically a horrible Vista.
This is the only Vista I haven’t done (due to this problem), and that’s not only an annoyance but a real shame.
In Vevarium Delves, I stumbled upon a mini jumping puzzle on the way to the Vista, cleverly concealed behind some shrubs. Thumbs up to the designers for incorporating this!
I was expecting some sort of achievement, either ‘Jumping Puzzle’ or ‘Explorer’. There was neither, but there was a chest. I think it’s a shame to let a gem of a puzzle like this to go to waste, seeing as though the chest only yields a measly 1 item for quite a tricky little jump at the end, through the hole. I think the mini-puzzle should at least have it’s own achievement.
And for anyone who hasn’t found it, I advise you to, it’s a nice little activity if you’re looking for something to do.
Any idea how much gold I’d need though lol? I bet it’d be loads
Please introduce a minipet for the Avatar of Grenth, he (assuming Grenth is a he) looks so awesome!!
It is my understanding that the elite skill ‘Summon Mistfire Wolf’ is only acquirable after the purchase of either the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition of Guild Wars 2. This is quite frustrating as I already have the normal edition and don’t wish to spend any money to upgrade it.
Therefore, could you please consider (in the future), upgrading our accounts so we too can access this skill. It’d be a shame to let such awesome animation that the designers worked on, put to waste!
Thanks :-)
Yes!! ArenaNet. Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please (takes deep breath) please please please please please please please please please PLEASE make a Quaggan plushie, I’d buy more than one and create mini dioramas with my Charr one too :-) Oh the possibilities!
@GuildWars2 just tweeted that everybody is trying to download the content at the same time, so sit tight and shush!!
Yeah, about the ‘Russian Roulette’ element in-game when pursuing your Legendary. That has completely deterred me from ever working to get one. The idea that I have to work for hours on end and then even after that still not get the required items from the Mystic Forge is a complete turn-off. It’s just monotonous to grind for items which then will be wasted. As you said, I’d love to participate in something ‘Legendary’ if I’m working for my Legendary weapon. Farming and grinding just is the opposite on the spectrum.
Also, this is probably a very long way off but for a future race, I’d like to see something based around the Elder Dragons. Perhaps some race created from the ashes of the Elder Dragons’ destruction/remains. I think a lot of lore could be introduced which currently fits in with what you’ve got. I’d like nothing better to see that for all this time , a dragon-like creature had been a captive of the Dragons. First, this storyline would have to be introduced through a World Event chain but overall I reckon it would be a very interesting and successful race to play.
It’d be a lovely sight to see if the Dervish made a re-appearance as a playable Profession. It would use the suggested Great Axe for it’s 2h weapon. Then an obvious weapon, the Scythe would be used by the Necromancer too maybe. I could see lots of wonderful weapon designs for a scythe.. something equally as awesome as the Dhuum’s Soulreaper from GW1 would be amazing.
How about Claws as a new weapon type. They’d be so so cool. Imagine running about slicing things up with your claws!!
Oh my, it would be great. They’d be used by the Dervish, Thief, Mesmer and any other new profession that would fit. They’d also come in pairs.
Another profession I’d like to see is a support class. A Bard perhaps. I have noticed that a few Dredge skills seem to have music notes as their animation and that is what gave me the idea. The Bard’s mysterious effects their songs have on enemies and allies alike would be a great help in Dungeons and other elements in-game.
And I don’t know if this is just me but I don’t have an urge to visit a city for more than 10 minutes, if that. There’s hardly anything to keep me interested. I want the cities to feel like CITIES. The only city I really spend time in is Lion’s Arch. Our race’s cities don’t shout for us to visit them, Lion’s Arch has pretty much everything we want.
Also, when I fall from a great height and I die, it can be frustrating, maybe we could have some skills like for what we get during the downed state, to save us while falling?
That’s a great idea, then I’d be able to use my better gaming systems which I don’t like tampering with to get Windows onto. Hope ANet consider this!!
