Received the birthday gift on my alt, but have not gotten it on my first character/main. /age states over 12 months, yay for bugs
Liandri is fine the way she is. The arena needs to be made bigger to avoid camera flaws, and the floor needs have its color changed. More content like liandri needs to be released with titles and other prestigious rewards so i don’t keep banging my head on the keyboard wondering why i can solo 5 man content.
I agree. Since the start of the queens jubilee i have been unable to do anything other than farm champions and Living story achievements. The spacing between Invasions is around 15 mins apart, by the time you sell all your champion loot, you go right back into it. Much like the Gauntlet farm the event is to profitable to not do. I have not ran a dungeon in over a month and have made over 300g. Granted i could have made much much more, but at a certain point grinding deadeye and champions turns into a chore and i just don’t want to play. Take an additional week to iron out some of the flaws in the LS content, and let people get back to WVW, pvp, and other areas that are neglected during the onslaught of temporary content.
If you are going to throw waves and waves of worthless mobs at us, can they at least be some characters that the community has been begging to get their hands on. The clockwork bots have shown they can transform into anything, so make the invasion waves of “popular” characters like Ellen Kiel and Trahearne. It seems like this invasion was intended to be a joke anyway.
Let me start by saying I really enjoyed the difficulty of this event. Sure there was time around the 30th try on Liadri where i was contemplating deleting my account but the sense of achievement when she was finally downed was something i was missing from this game. After the disappointingly easy story mode and dungeons this is exactly what the game needs. There was however several issues that I feel should be addressed to.
1) The barrier to entry is to high. The normal play through is no problem, but when you start doing hard-mode/gambit achievement’s you are spending 6 tickets a round to beat your head against the wall. so your options are to do a ridiculous amount of farming or spend your hard earned gold.
2) Animations on the bosses should really be easier to see. I don’t mind the punishing misstep and your dead boss effects. I mind that in all the chaos of the fight you are expected to see red rings that are hardly visible.
3) The run back. As i stated earlier around 30ish times running across the map, up the stairs and over to the ringmaster just to Que and wait another 2-3 minutes, is devastating when your trying not to pull out your hair.
I sincerely hope we see more content along this nature. This has been my favorite event in guildwars2. I look forward to seeing what Anet comes up with next.
