Skins would be really cool;
Seeing that Rare level armor is only temporary (Epic level being the normal until Ascended sets come out) and that the most people are getting the armor they want from either the temples, WVW Master armor or they Craft them, and then transmute them on to the epic armor sets. (I can understand from a profit point of this too.)
It would definitely solve that issue for the weapons that they had that had them up to 93k karma, now it’s down to 63K karma. that is more than an epic armor piece by 19k! (assuming that its is an issue still)
Or if I may suggest make tier 3 armor and weapons epic, and make them non forage-able like WvW armors are
When Ascended armors come out it would make it nicer to re-skin them too. (make a tier 4 set with the one time change stats like when the GW2 team updated them to Ascended level.)
Thanks for an Awesome Game.
I can understand the reasons for the changes to the mechanics for the resurrection during combat.
It was also stated that “Defeat in Guild Wars 2 is intended to be an experience, not a punishment. Let’s face it: dying never feels great, even without a death penalty. As weird as it might sound, we decided to look into what would make dying a more enjoyable and memorable play experience.” – Jon Peters
I feel that is no longer a valid point. The fun was being able to get back into combat so you join your comrades in battle.
But I am not writing this to complain about that, as it got abused, and it got changed. so I would like to offer some alternatives and possible fixes that could be looked into.
A resurrect skill that works when they are dead, not just in the down state. (far as I know there is no skill that can)
The these Skills Signet of Mercy, Glyph of Renewal, Nature’s Renewal, Signet of Undeath and Battle Standard could be altered to for that change, instead of creating a separate skill. I did not include Signet of life as the mechanic is different.
I have not tested all these skills, but the cast times are way to long for most of them, by the time I have tried to use them, the person had already healed himself solo, only the Battle Standard I have had success with bringing someone from a down state.
(I would also like to include the Orb of Resurrection as it takes way to long to use)
To be honest, I thought that most of these skills were useless as it was easier and faster to heal by hand than to use them, the exception is the ones that can bring back more than one player at a time.
