Guild Wars 2

so noone knows of any good combo of teams at all i take it?

Been playing in the arena a lil bit lately, while of course we win some we loose an awful lot to. Sometimes it seems like we come into conflict with a team who we can not damage at all hardly.

I was wondering what would be a good team setup to go into the pvp arena with and what setup should they use or whatever? Many thanks in advance as always

Since you guys have been extremly helpful so far, I figured i would ask this question here, i guess it’s mainly targeted towards guild leaders but non guild leaders can feel free to answer as well.

I have recently formed up my own guild with a few friends and we are doin decently. Having fun togeher and all that good stuff, the issue im wondering about tho is how does you as a guild leader or as a member feel about repping different guilds?

so here is my input first…

I am old school, i have played many many mmo’s over the years and i firmly believe that if you are either in the guild or you simply are not. I find this guild rep thing to be a nuisance and weird mechanic. In my eyes, a guild is supposed to be like minded ppl who like to do like minded things who invest their time and energy into the guild and its members by getting to know one another, talking, gaming together, etc.

If say you recruit 20 ppl but only 10 are repping even some of the time or whatever the case may be, what is the point of that? I read that others like to play with this guild and that guild but if you plan to swap so many times why even bother being in a guild in the first place? why not just have a friends list instead to avoid the repping messages.

In all my years of gaming guilds were organized groups of ppl who really helped one another and gamed together regularly. But i noticed that alot of ppl leave guilds in this game due to not being active enough, no help here and there, chat is dead, etc. How is a guild supposed to prosper if noone even bothers to rep and chat on a regular basis cause they are to busy with another guild? how are any of the players supposed to get to know one another if they can’t see a chat even in place? IMO this mechanic is a flat out guild killer really, prob the one thing i hate most about the game so far.

I know ppl have their oppinions and thats fine i mean i dont expect anyone to really share my view and all that which is fine but i mean if we got to compete for guildies instead of them actually wanting to be a part of something… i dont feel like begging or ordering anyone to rep…i mean why even have them in a guild in the first place…guilds are meant to be organized…and im not the power trip kinda guild leader, I would justy like to be able to put together a nice community but its hard to do that espically for new guilds starting out if noone is repping and u spend more time whispering and whatnot then actually talking. I dont feel like someone should be forced into chatting or whatever…

How do you guys feel about that? do other guilds allow it or not? I dont mean to offend anyone or anything just hope to start a nice conversation to learn about this and how its looked upon in this game.

thnaks guys, i been trying out the hambow seems to work pretty decently…im doing a little better with it now…made a few kills here and there which is a huge improvment over getting rofl stomped lol. So whats so special about this shoutbow cause i found it to be rather…… weak with damage…had alot of cures and all that stuff but crap damage i found….or am i playing it toally wrong?

its not that i expect to win all 1v1’s, i expect to loose some of the time or most even…but to not be able to win a single fight…thats infuriating… i noticed also that me and a few friends all ganged up on this one person and he hardly took a scratch…. but i digress, im just looking for a good 1v1 build i guess …i mean if were all there to support one another who actually does the damage? lord knows ive tried a hundred diff ways to kill my target but wind up dead instead :/…guess im just looking for suggestions for what would be a good viable solid pvp build for either killing or support i guess tho i much rather be on the front lines where a warrior should be….brutalizing things… instead im a tin can on a rifle range lol…

hey fellas, after many hours of scouring the internet and finding nothing but outdated guides and such i figured i would once again turn to the community for support.

PvP Arenas:

Been rollin with my warrior in PvP but have to say its been nothing but one infuriating death after another. Is there some sort of secret to PvP arenas? seems no matter what build i use or how i dress him up i simply cannot kill anyone or even damage them it seems… might have killed about 2 ppl das bout it. I hit on em with everything i got and i might as well be throwin dirty looks as it would be more intimidating.

I can’t seem to find the right build so any support on that would be great… alot of ppl say the shoutbow build is good but i find that to be rather boring and lacks a ton of damage, feels more like a support role but as you know its hard to find anyone to support as everyone just does their own thing anyhow. Anyone know of a decent PvP arena build? Some links to builds would be awesome if anyone has the time to help out this noob. I feel kinda useless atm as a warrior….

hey guys, with this PS build…is it normal for that healing signet to heal a horrible 83? i dunno it just seems like it’s utter garbage…that kinda heal couldn’t outheal a dirty look much less an attack… what am i doin wrong here or is this the norm?

Hey guys, im rather new to GW2, so far i have been really enjoying the game. The community is pretty sound and friendly. I have been running a warrior and recently reached level 80. I managed to get berserker gear and what not….

I was wondering if you guys could tell me what a good build is for a warrior…for pve and dungeons i guess as from what i gathered pvp is wvw and zerging everywhere so it doesnt seem to matter what i play there lol before i get a hit in…they’re all dead lol. I have tried man build i have found but they all seem rather outdated espically when it came to traits.

I am looking for something that i can shell out some damage and not die as much as it seems so far in dungeons i excel at starring up at the ceiling from the ground lol. If someone could link some builds or whatever i would really appreciate it and any advice is more then welcome thanks in advance guys

also correct me if im wrong but i read alot of ppl said to use signet of healing or whatever its called. Mine says it does a mere 547 points of healing…seems rather useless or is it sometihng im doing wrong cuase seems it can’t outheal a slap to the face lol … but i see some ppl using it on youtube vids and they heal pretty nicely.
