Hate to break to the OP but WoW did not start the gear score/endgame/elitist/etc movement, it was in EQ looooong before WoW.
I can name alot MMOs that had “Gear Score” implemented, it is only Blizzard’s MMOs that created bad communities based on this.
Sorry you can say WoW started whatever but it did not, there was bad blood, forum wars etc over gear and upgrades.
Yes but it was Blizzard’s ideology for “World of Warcraft” that to progress further into Raid Zone or Open up “Hard Mode” you had to have that gear, this was the thing that create drama. Not to mention the major part of the play was the “RNG” if that “Item Name” dropped from “Boss Name”.

Sorry but you had to do the same thing in EQ, you had to get better gear/flags/etc in order to progress in raids.

I am having the same dream as well, I really hope they fix the pet AI as I have always been a fan of pet classes. Wish the elemental pets where not on a timer and if rangers had more to offer those would be the 3 classes I would play non stop.
I’m not going to be part of a game where devs completely keep players in the dark about what if anything will be done.
Guess you will not be playing 99.99% of the mmo’s out there then as they all do this except for Rift.
Its the patch today that has a bunch of stuff including a new event that leads to the Nov 15 mega patch.
Can we get a heads up on how long the eta will be for patch downtime? If we could get an idea of when you plan on doing it too would be great. And lastly will this patch contain class fixes (necro pets/rangers/etc) as well as the new event?
I like the fact that the OP posted Everquest and Rift in his list of games, obviously he did not play both of them as both games in their first years had less than the suppose 20-50 hotkeys he says. In Everquest you had 7 spell gems for a long time and then they added some macro commands for some AA skills several years later, with Rift sure you had the option to fill your hotbars will all your skills, but if you was not macro’ing all of them into 1 button and spamming it you where not doing good dps.
A) I play Rift with GW2. It’s my second MMO. My cleric’s DPS rotation is over 20 skills long
B) If you have macro in Rift to make DPS, you’re doing it wrong. If you macro in Rift in PvP, you are REALLY doing it wrong.
A) It may be at this time but they are all or at least 5 of them being macro’ed into one button, you can surf the Rift class forums and there are nothing but builds where people list their macros and rotations for max DPS so I know you are wrong there.
B) Did not play Rift for PvP so have no comment on this part.

Getting rid of all the bots, was not a problem at my level range at the time but the higher I get the more and more I am seeing.

you are 99% wrong re watch the dev chat it is up now and you will hear for yourself that they are working on the patch as of right now.
You did not watch the live chat today, it was not done a while ago, they specified that they were still working on the patch and would have it ready to release later today.

Don’t even know where to start, probably mining candy corn for new skins, I just hope 9 days is enough time to do everything for this event considering they will be opening up new stuff in 4 different phases.

No, simply because many people myself included enjoy not out leveling the content in the game. I enjoy having new friends start up and getting to group with them as my main and not start new characters, I enjoy knowing that even though I’m 80 and have all this gear I still can’t go lerrrroyyy into situations thinking there is no way I can die.
Nope I healed an AC run as a ranger I have also been in groups that the Guardian healed it, that is the beauty of this game, just takes some research and trial and error to know when and what to do.
